I love how even Aretha, who is an amazing sing that can adlib, really sticks to the melody and sings Lamont's Motown-styled songs light and breezy, and sexy, and wonderfully...I love this album...the title song is a monster, btw!!! One of her best!

yoaskam... this is one of my fav songs from one of my FAV aretha records- 'sweet passion'. tracks 2, 6, 7 & 10 let's me know somethin! The singing & the voice is what impresses me most with 'sweet passion'. great album.. dare i say 'one of her best post wexler?!' Shame it isn't more known. Damn Disoo!

Your right Sweet Passion is so underrated. This was Aretha's best post Jerry album. This album also somes off how great a writer Aretha is, she wrote half the song on this album.
