clapton should really make more live albums. not really a studio musician but the whole reason he's one of the gods is because of his improvising talents. he should share some of those magic moments by letting people listen to them on their ipods
i think he should do what he is talking about here. i mean keeping a break from playing for a while. so he can play his best at this years crossroads guitar festival.
Actually Tomthefunky Dave Sancious has been a seasoned pro around the industry for quite some time. He has done extensive work with Stanley Clark, Jeff Beck, Michael Jackson and many others. He's an a list go to player.
Dave Sancious the keyboard player was in Bruce Springsteens band and left the band right before Bruce made it big. Big mistake. It was sort of a Pete Best situation except Pete Best was fired. Dave Sancious left voluntarily. I don't think Bruce ever forgave him . It's nice to see EC gave him a gig.
Thats not exactly true, in his book he writes that he was embaressed about it but actually loved the recognition it gave him as a performer and player - he hated in some respcts but liked it in other ways, read his autobiography.. its all there..
idk if the idiots saying "clapton is god" know this any true clapton fan would he does not like people saying that he has always hated it he is freaking amazing a legend but he himself is not a god and he hates people saying it....
way to cop an attitude, first of all, second of all, 3 people agreed with me that he was.. third of all, religion is bullshit and god is who or what you make it. His music does for me what most people's religion does for them: it gives me solace. Religion is all about relativity and it is what you make it. I take solace in Clapton's music and he is therefor my God... you fuckstick.
I'm sorry, I wanted to applaud your comment, guitarslinger, and by mistake i marked the opposite!!! Of course, I love hearing him talking almost as much as I love him making music
That was a really well done, classy interview. Great upload thanks!

Sancious played real good with Sting as well. Some great piano parts on "Ten Summoner's Tales".
