Gosh that is sweet. I was able to accomplish this against the PO a few times. There is nothing quite as sweet as taking the cemetery and the angle, too. You really got slaughtered here.
a few years ago I actually had a military general from Argentina stay at my home for about a week. My brother and I watched this movie with him, and seeing through his eyes I gained yet another level of respect for the military decisions/ideas during this battle.
This is very original and fun, and as always very good commentary. btw the total war series is very very good tactical rts. You could do the same video with better (more realistic) mechanics than this. I'm gonna make a video response so you can see what I mean.
You never mentioned that Custer actually was in the battle of Gettysburg. He was actually a captain, I believe, and he was the one who ran into the confederate cavalry.
I'm pretty sure the South had several opportunities to win the Civil War, one of which was Gettysburg. I'm pretty sure that if General Lee took Longstreet's advice and put himself in a position between the Northern Army and Washington D.C, that the Union would be forced to engage the South on their terms thus leading to a probable southern victory. Then again, Grant Took Vicksburg two days after Gettysburg, so maybe the North would have continued to fight the war anyhow.
omg i watched the whole movie last night (inspired by your first video^^). quiete epic, a bit long in the middle but still a really good film with a lot of historical and tactial informations
anyway i agree with dragonkilla....try out as a history teacher speciallized on american history:-)
Haha, yea the movie was a bit long (and the hug between the two brothers at the end ... a little too close lol). It's definitely a great view of the whole battle though, especially the Little Round Top fight, which ought to be as famous as Iwo Jima or the Tet Offensive but isn't because it was 140 years ago.
Thanks for the suggestion about being a teacher - I get it sometimes, and I wonder if I should change careers :/
@3:23,
Union guys say cavalry and Confederate guys say "calvary" in this game.

@Athos90 the only way a CSA victory at GB means they win the war is if they destroyed the AoP, which is highly unlikely.
