I've found that when some (not all) females dance as Krishna, they can come across as too feminine and it looks as if "a female is dancing as Krishna"... but THIS performance is the total opposite. Here, the dancer portrays a believable Krishna, both graceful & masculine at the same time. Awesome video.

I think, that the idea of this dance is very good, and it's very interesting to see. But I think, that your Kathak elements aren't so good at the end of this dance.I think it was better, if you used clear movements of Tatkar, Paran Amad and etc. If you were used that ones, you dance were looked great:)

The idea of this dance is not our, its Gopi Krishna's one. And the idea to use paran bol's to express Krishna's tricks and his lila with gopi is also Gopi Krishna's. He is a great master of Kathak, but he is not conservative and that's why his dances are always masterpieces. This dance choreographed by him you can see as videoresponse on our video, its beautiful example of his creative attitude towards the dance and specifically kathak.

Now in medias res. If there are some classical elements in the song, it doesn't mean that dancer has to do adavu or tukda. Many dancers who are uploading their video on you-tube, suffering from this readiness to show their classical skills. Sometime their enthusiasm extends on the majority of the song which has light hint of Kathak, and they putting paran, amaad, tukda etc, despite of the fact it looks more than absurd.
