thanks but it only does 3 km/h and as i said in previous statements, she can run faster than this thing can go, and i don't make her wear a helmet whenever she decides to run. but thanks all the same
ok now call me crazy, but helicopters dont have reverse. are you just using a servo to operate the gas pedal/twist throttle? i built a rc powerwheels for my son using hitec 805bb throttle is a remotely activated relay as the speed controller fried trying to turn this big motor.
reverse isn't in the electrics, its in the motor. i just used a receiver which had extra channels to plug in a seperate receiver to operate reverse. every1 has their own way of doing stuff i guess but this works for me.
you mean you used a seperate speed controller off another channel on the receiver? or did you wire it up to the stock direction selector switch? lol im confused, but hey it works. what esc are you using?
IM sure as a parent you should know a fall onto a hard surface from standing height without speed is enough to do serious damage to a baby. Its overkill, but safer rather then sorry. Btw what would you estimate the weight at total, and what servo torque for steering is in there?
yes thats true but she can run faster than this thing can go and i'm not going to put a helmet on her every time she runs. besides, i wouldn't do it if she didn't hang on but she grips like there no tomorrow. as for the servo, its a hitec 5955tg (333oz @6v). the total weight of the car is around 7kg. my daughter weighed 12kg in this vid. cheers
thanks. actually I'm in the middle of another quad which I'm putting my water cooled full race spec pocket bike engine in it. the bike does 90km/h with me on it and I'm 80kgs. think i might have to tame it down a bit till shes a bit older....... hahaha...............
i want to make one of these if i ever have kids, maybe i'll make them a car. that would be cool :)

was this an rc before you made it into a quad, or was it a powerwheels? what speed controller are you using?
Duckyistrippin 3 years ago
it was just a ride on. using all the electrics i had in an old helicopter. steering servo is hitec 5955tg.
