she didnt say 'im not a charity' she said 'its not a charity thing'. it doesnt necesarily mean she was being rude, maybe she said it bcoz it was made to be a big deal for the civilians to go skiing so she was implying that the way alan carr is describing it (which i am aware is only for entertainment) is as if its being given to them as charity which in itself in like offering charity.
