  • No loop-de-loop, so I vote it down. I hate it when people lie on the descriptions :(

  • Everything is dangerous, flying in an aircraft with thousands of moving parts built by the lowest bidder is dangerous, everyone get over it. If your pilot is experienced than your ok

  • I flew JetCopter 810 for KGO for 3 years and we did this regularly.

  • Not dangerous, not illegal. I'm sick of our paranoid society.

  • it's amazing what people think is dangerous........Danger is based on perception.

There is nothing in this maneuver that is in anyway putting the passengers at risk.

It is calculated, has adequate room for error

  • Isn't that against some FAA rule to fly under a bridge? Props for being illegal!

  • Perfect time for some one to jump off the bridge.

  • how wreckless is this! What if you had crashed into the bridge.. You should be in jail! Idiot

  • @mentalkillerman tour companys do this, its not wreckless if your a trained pilot.

  • @103dingdong I am a trained pilot I fly F16's in Afghan... Your dangerous man.

  • @mentalkillerman yeah.... if he hit the bridhe he'd be lucky to be alive... I think the cops would be the least of his worries.

  • I am a pilot and grew up around aviation. All I can say is that I, nor any other pilot I know would do this. It's foolish and dangerous, not to mention pointless. When you start showing off is when things go wrong.

  • @2008Flyboy I am a long time pilot also and I feel that if you got the Skillz to Pay the Billz than do what your comfortable with. This might be a routine manuvere for the pilot, true there is a lot of factors that could go wrong but just rememeber that a life lived in fear is a life half lived. Personally I'd like to see Chuck Aaron pull a legit loop around the Golden Gate :-)

  • Lots of cars in the golden gate bridge

  • was the loop the one that wrote the heading on this?

  • all you dissers, id like to see you try to fly 120nots under a bridge and not crash in a huge helicopter

  • is that legal....they ought to jerk that guy pilots license...he does'nt need to be flying...he gonna take somebodys eye out.

  • quit your bitching, no one got hurt. It's been done a thousand times before and no one has been hurt. And no one will ever get hurt. Until you get your own fucking license you will never understand the risks of flying.

    /rant

  • Where was the "loop"?

  • THAT WAS COOL MON.

  • I own a 4 engined Piper J-3 Cub and we did summer salts over the bridge. We then we so fast that we turned plaid. It was AWESOME!

  • This guy's a moron!

  • nice video , but that is only a turn NOT a loopp de loop

  • awesome video!

  • where's the loop?

  • cool id do it =]

  • wonder what kinda chopper this is

  • it's a Bell 206BIII JetRanger (five seat)

they go under the bridge everyday around 10:40am

  • i like the Long Ranger better. So this is an everyday thing then eh? I never knew that.

  • I think that's a 407 dude.

  • no, look at their web site

    sfhelicoptertours com

    :D

  • And that's their newest addition.

    Check out the website again.

    I know my helis!

  • It has clockwise rotating blades. I'm going to guess eurocopter....

  • But in real life, they are counterclockwise rotating blades!

    Cameras are awesome!

    407 FTW!

  • No, eurocopters use clockwise rotating blades. Considering i've flown them, I think I would know.... It took me almost an entire hour just to get used to having to use right pedal when i came into a hover....

Assuming the camera made the blade rotation appear reversed, and based on sfhelicopter's pictures, it is either a 206B3 or a 206L.

  • @bburrett Its a 407. They have charters out of the north bay..Very good time but expensive, its around $1600 to charter the 407 for an hour.

  • Yeah too bad ill just fly my x wing through there with rd-d2 in the back would i get in trouble??? was that grown up enough for you asshole

  • YEAH i own a jumbo jet PA28 and do you think i would get in trouble if i flew in that area also????

  • A jumbo jet PA28? The PA28 is a light piston 4-5 passenger single prop, Grow up, And if your going to lie.....have something to make u sound a BIT intelligent yeh?

  • I fly in the bay area also, do you think I would get in trouble if I did it with a PA28?

  • Still very neat, I always thought you would get in big trouble if you did not get permission ahead of time to do this sort of thing. How Cool!

  • where the hell was the "loop-de-loop"?

  • Yeah, what a load of old s**t.

  • I'm a bay area helicopter pilot, I flew under last month, FAA doesn't care.

  • I flew with SF Helicopters in the Bell 407 and we did this, it was last Feb. and it is legal if you have FAA approval.

  • Military can fly under it if they want. Civilian is no go, especially after 9/11. This video was probably shot before 9/11. I think if you did that now, they might actually shoot at you. The pilot would definitely go to jail for a long time.

  • thats wrong! we flow UNDER und over the grolden gate bridge with a helicopter after 9/11, @ 2006 ! ! ! ! see my video if you don´t believe!

  • Go to jail, perhaps if unauthorized but shoot at you? With what? Last I saw there weren't AA batteries protecting the bridge.

  • awesome video! i drove over it, but that was a much more kickass ride, man!

  • I thought it was illegal to fly under the Golden Gate and Bay Bridge! I know they stopped the Blue Angels from doing it.

  • I guess it's not. I watched a US Military Blackhawk fly right under it in June. I am kinda surprised it's allowed.
