Everything is dangerous, flying in an aircraft with thousands of moving parts built by the lowest bidder is dangerous, everyone get over it. If your pilot is experienced than your ok
I am a pilot and grew up around aviation. All I can say is that I, nor any other pilot I know would do this. It's foolish and dangerous, not to mention pointless. When you start showing off is when things go wrong.
@2008Flyboy I am a long time pilot also and I feel that if you got the Skillz to Pay the Billz than do what your comfortable with. This might be a routine manuvere for the pilot, true there is a lot of factors that could go wrong but just rememeber that a life lived in fear is a life half lived. Personally I'd like to see Chuck Aaron pull a legit loop around the Golden Gate :-)
quit your bitching, no one got hurt. It's been done a thousand times before and no one has been hurt. And no one will ever get hurt. Until you get your own fucking license you will never understand the risks of flying.
No, eurocopters use clockwise rotating blades. Considering i've flown them, I think I would know.... It took me almost an entire hour just to get used to having to use right pedal when i came into a hover....
Assuming the camera made the blade rotation appear reversed, and based on sfhelicopter's pictures, it is either a 206B3 or a 206L.
A jumbo jet PA28? The PA28 is a light piston 4-5 passenger single prop, Grow up, And if your going to lie.....have something to make u sound a BIT intelligent yeh?
Military can fly under it if they want. Civilian is no go, especially after 9/11. This video was probably shot before 9/11. I think if you did that now, they might actually shoot at you. The pilot would definitely go to jail for a long time.
No loop-de-loop, so I vote it down. I hate it when people lie on the descriptions :(

Not dangerous, not illegal. I'm sick of our paranoid society.
nocalsteve 9 months ago
it's amazing what people think is dangerous........Danger is based on perception.
There is nothing in this maneuver that is in anyway putting the passengers at risk.
It is calculated, has adequate room for error

Isn't that against some FAA rule to fly under a bridge? Props for being illegal!
kevinriley17 1 year ago
Perfect time for some one to jump off the bridge.
aussie114 1 year ago 2
how wreckless is this! What if you had crashed into the bridge.. You should be in jail! Idiot

@mentalkillerman yeah.... if he hit the bridhe he'd be lucky to be alive... I think the cops would be the least of his worries.

I flew with SF Helicopters in the Bell 407 and we did this, it was last Feb. and it is legal if you have FAA approval.

I thought it was illegal to fly under the Golden Gate and Bay Bridge! I know they stopped the Blue Angels from doing it.
amdefalco 4 years ago
I guess it's not. I watched a US Military Blackhawk fly right under it in June. I am kinda surprised it's allowed.
