People wud eat a cow but not a horse because a horse is more attractive, that's an undeniable case of Speciesism, people eat meat because they have been for a very long time but they didn't stop yet because they enjoy it and meat eaters naturally feel eating meat is okay and even when faced with clear-out good ethical points, there emotional state during the day is taking up mostly by pro-meat eating therefore the delusion grasped their minds from the moral truth.
Your stupid to actually waste your time making this video...when their are REAL problems going on in the world.....i have no words for you...your not even worth time...
@sararudd92 And I'm sure you're doing a lot of wonderful work for those "REAL problems" in the world... However, note that animal activism goes hand-in-hand with social justice issues, worker's rights, environmentalism, etc. Plus, just because most of my videos are about animal rights doesn't mean I'm not informed about other issues. In fact, just today I was at a women's rights event, donated blood, and each week, I volunteer to teach art classes to children with developmental disabilities.
@sararudd92 It's actually pretty easy to not exploit (enslave, torture, murder) animals. Doesn't really take any special effort. Just like it takes no effort to not rape women, molest children, or murder people...
People are omnivores. I've heard they taste like pig. Obviously not a good reason to start eating other people though... Pigs are about as intelligent as dogs (and supposedly as smart as 3-year-old children, too!). I would feel guilty about causing so much suffering to someone so intelligent.
Is it realy legal in the US to kill someones animal if it is a small one, like a rabbit or a rat? Here in Germany this animals arnt protected either, but you would be fined, because, according to the law, you damaged someones "property".
@DerAntimensch I think if you killed someone's pet rat or chicken, it would be seen as property damage in the US, too. But if that same rat, rabbit, chicken, pig, or mouse is in a testing lab or a factory farm, and someone stomps on them, beats them, or shoots them, there is no penalties. No laws protect these common "food" or "testing" animals from the cruelty of people! :(
I said the same thing in a previous video of mine, only I referred to it in terms of Partiality,or showing favoritism toward one class and not another.
Like a working class like dogs or pets, and a slave class like cows, chickens, and pigs.
This Welsh comedian called Alan Davies (Vegatarian is it matters) was on a comedy/quiz show called 'QI', and the answer to the question that they had just asked was "Russian bomb dogs", so the quiz master started explaining how the Russians used dogs as suicide bombers in WW2, causing a round of 'aww's from the audience. Alan just turned to them and said "I bet you all have a lamb roast on the weekends though"
some messages ...because i always tell people why i am vegetarian ...and i would love to answer that question and make people understand how a world without meateating would work ..?=) thank you all
words...but please to everyone ..what would you tell a person like that ...because i don't really know what to answer....i mean where would the animals live ..chicken ect...would that work..and how ?? i would love to get
hey i 'm vegetarien (from germany..sorry if i spell something wrong )...i have a question for all of you vegetarians and vegans !!!a lot of people ask me what kind of world i want??where no one eats meat...ect. ....they tell me that it's not possible...imagine if we'd all stoped eating meat...what would happen to all the animals....there would be a large overpopulation of animals..and if noone 'used the animals' what should happne to them ....people say a world without eating meat is
@37mamak I get asked this question a lot too. My answer is, It is stupid to believe that everyone will go vegan over night. As much as I'd like that it's unrealistic. What is realistic is that over time more and more people will go vegan, and the demand for meat based products wll go down. Because of this fewer animals will be bred for food. Eventually there will be a situation where only a few hundred animals are kept for food.. We are talking 50 to a 100 years from now.. not next week.
i am a vegetarian but will be a vegan in all honestly after i finish the one yogurt and milk i bought several days ago, did not know that cow milk came from cows that were impregnated, had the baby aborted or killed at birth, and lived most of their life standing up locked in a room, did not know that free range was not what the cartoon pics make it look like, free range cage free animals are still in small areas, just not as small, not out in a big green field forsure
A town in Wisconsin banned Deer hunting for a season not too long ago, i get where your coming from, but because there were no natural predators, the deer over populated, and many were dieing from starvation because there was a lack of food. Car crash rates when Threw the roof because their was a spacing issue and many people died. Deers showed up in towns limes disease was very common. I see where you're coming from i do, but they kill deer for a reason.
I think speciesism exists because the human diet is widely accepted as omnivorous, including animals (I'm discluding vegetarians in this generalization). It's normal for people to eat chicken, pigs and cows because they are livestock animals and thus they are made out as a different/lower class animal than our pets and wild animals. Pets are a humans best friend and wild animals should remain 'wild and free' but livestock are born to be killed. Just my thoughts on why that might happen.
How are they born to be killed? Is your cat/dog born to be killed because some people eat that? Or a whale for that matter? No animal is born to be killed. Just because that's most people's pick of choice doesn't mean they are 'lower class'.
Bubblywums means that many species of animals are born to be killed. For example, here, chickens on factory farms are not raised to be loved or to be pets but to be killed - as you noted that dogs and cats are in China.
I personally do not agree with the killing of any being - be it human, whale, chicken, dog, cat, etc. Like I said, I see everyone as equal because even the smallest of animals simply wants to live their life without worry of being harmed :)
@Elodee123 Yes, peepchick101 explained exactly what I mean. I'm not saying that way of thinking is right or wrong, but it does exist. Livestock are born on farms for the sole purpose of being 'harvested' and eaten.
It's cruel they way they kill them. I wouldn't be against it if they let them live their lives then killed them a humane way where they felt no pain, etc.
Also, is it just me or do you look a lot younger since that bent dorsal fin video? Maybe it's just the angle or what you're wearing or something but i did a double-take when i clicked on this
fl4v dude u heartless son of a bitch peepchick101 is a very smart person and hasnt eatin meat for over a decade!!!! y dont u shut the fuck off and leave animals alone.
what r u talking about of course i knew! its all u talked about last year when we would all hang at Wendys, i would eat the burger all slow to make fun of u and Emily. lol
I know, girl. It's like Orwell's "Animal Farm," where "all animals are created equal, but some animals are more equal than others." I read that book in 7th grade, and it was really food for thought.
This was a really fantastic seech peep! It really is unfair that the Animal Welfare Laws dont protect all animals, if you think about humans are animals too were just more evolved thats about it. Killing an animal is like killing your brother or sister
this brings up some excellent points. good speech! i can tell you are really dedicated to helping out all living creatures. thanks for all the good posts.
Really nice video, some good points. Not to mention if you kill a cat or dog you will go to jail for a lot less time than if you killed a human. We are all animals.

Has anyone ever notice that the animals humans seem to favor are carnivoires, and the ones we eat are herbivoires?
Think about it dog's and cat's (the animals protected) eat similar diets to that of humans. Why is that?
Its almost like its human nature to pick on the "weak" one.

Cute animals or animals with certain value in the culture like western civilisation, dogs/cats = cared about.
Pigs/cows/chickens/fish, which in the cultural spectre is the main sources for meat = Just food. Or "well they are cute"... NOM NOM NOM eat porkshop.
