The reason why the explanation is all in negative is: can you explain light without dark? can you explain sound without silence? Aatmaan is so unique that it can only be explained what it is not. I hope it helps. BTW, Aatmaan is pronounced is aatmaa and the N is practically silent, you kind of have to pronounce half N and not full N.
