But most Armenians I know including myself get along very well with Kurds and yes we know who's fault it was in 1915. Many Kurds also fought in Karabakh war protecting Armenia I've seen videos about it made by Armenians honoring Kurdish people. So this animosity is really unnecessary especial under such nice song. Refugees from Sefer Belik and the Genocide [1915-1923] loved and often sang Arshin Mal Ala, Mashdi Ibad...both Azeri operettas. The song is Kurdish and there is no doubt about it. The point of view on plagiarizing Kurdish folk songs en mass is compelling. The Kurds no country of their own. And thus far, most of their musical heritage have been plagiarized by other nations who credit them to their own. I met a famous the Kurdish singer from Georgia, Ossy Sultan, who I wanted to interview, he flatly refused to have any of the songs recorded as he feared Armenians will change the lyrics and claim songs as theirs.

Our people have been killed since Islam came and it was the turks and persians who did it most but also arabs, and our people are still opressed. The armenians came to anatolia from south europe which means we were there before them, and bulgars came from mongolia. But we do share alot with the armenians because we have lived side by side in many years so why would we be on the turks side ?

@shocktrauma13 The kurds were nothing and still arent. Some kurds helped the turks against the armenians and some didnt. And the kurds werent muslims before, they were forced into the religion by them. And that is also why many kurds were killed. The kurds wanted peace and still want it, and are searching for help where they can get it.

@Kurmanjiim That information about relationship between the turks and kurds that you provided is wrong ..Turks did not kill any kurds to convert them to islam..Kurds armenians lived together peacefully only when armenians are only a minority other than that kurds and armenians always fought and kurds kicked their asses :) Kurds also terrorized their own kind who are izdi's to either chase them away or or make the accept islam..You say kurds were nothing in history that is wrong too.

@shocktrauma13 because kurds are a great nation,they were one of the main actors in the old world ..Besides their political influence in middle east and asia minor ,they also created superior societies for their time..However,kurds have lost power due to everlasting crusader campaigns to middle east and weakening small tribes of kurds had to join forces with turks and arabs and accepted their rule
