  • Nice truck! I love the backgound growling sound! What has become of the Mack?

  • @Diodorus79 The truck has been turned into an extended cab by welding half of the cab from a B-60 onto the back of this cab. It hasn't run for about 2 years now but I could send you pictures if you'd like to see it.

  • @JManGuitar5150 Oh Nice! Please send me some pictures if its no problem, I m curious to see that beauty.

  • @Diodorus79 I'm trying to send you a private message but it says your channel is unavailable?... Message me and I'll send you a link.

  • great machine

    wow

  • @parthnerhorse Thanks

  • Love the truck. She needs a lot of work but I am sure you will make her a beauty. My uncle had one just like her and the batteries would get up and run away every night so he made it into an air start. Would like to see what you have done to her so far. Great show keep it up. Thanks

  • Thanks. So far we've taken off the cab and combined it with another cab from a B-60 to make an extended cab (NOT a sleeper). We've gotten everything on the truck primed (everything except the wheels). The economy has really slowed down our progress, but she's coming along.

  • my dad said these were the trucks that separated the men from the boys.

  • Reminds me of that car cahse scene in Maximum Overdrive & it even sounds like the tow truck from Maximum Overdrive when it starts up!

  • Haha, yeah!

  • never thought of that?

  • Sure I have, seen those movies too many times lol

  • The inside reminds me of a WWII fighter plane.

A 1959 vehicle would never pass an emissions test.

It must have taken a lot of work restoring the old beast tho!

  • Yeah, kinda sounds like a WWII plane as it's starting up (after the air start of course). Thanks

    Technology changes fast!

  • Ok! I get ya.That C-600 of your is an interesting rare cab design.NIce chatting with ya.Enjoy your day

  • Actually, you were right. My mistake. It is a 5+4, since you can't put it in 5 low. Sorry

  • Interesting !So theres two shift levers right?

  • I like B model Macks.Have you got all the front end pieces? Also what is the transmission 5+4?

  • Comment removed

  • If you can't find it, DON'T grind it, double clutch-even the upshifts until you get the feel for the gaps between the ratios! Otherwise, the dogs will will wear out and it'll slip out of gear...

  • is that an air starter or regular electric, it sounds different than normal to me

  • It's an air start.

  • Man that old Thermodyne sounds good. The old B models are the best.

  • 5 stars, would love to see more!

    Awesome vid!

  • Very cool, like the chug sound
