As I type from Sydney, we have had the last 3 NIGHTS over 30deegrees, its now 35degrees and 88% humidity, Im watching images of the grade 5 cyclone in Queensland (think hurricane Katrina) and my air conditioner isnt working properly. And theres no surf.

Its perfect in Melbourne :) Its warm during the day and cools down at night so I can sleep good.

I go for a ride on my motorbike if it gets hot, get some wind in the hair,

or go for a swim on the Northern beaches of Sydney,

then I can come home, turn on the pedestal fan and have a beer and relax.

I'd be partying-on at night too, but I've got to take it easy now til I'm better.

I'm going to the Iron Maiden concert on Feb 27, that'll be good, I've waited years to see them.

I don't think Christian is a douche. He is the perfect Australian to show the Aussie spirit and summer. He was able to turn his life threatening sickness into a career that he probably loves and he should be congratulated because of this. Lets enjoy our fantastic summer in our awesome country on our beautiful beaches!!

@gildlily78 well its true, im from SA and its kinda shit. In Europe you get a tan but you dont feel the burn, here it burns you to shit, and you get melanomas. IM yetr to recieve one i am very cautious about sun smarts etc.

@SerotoninRush I'm in WA and it gets worse every year. I remember when I was growing up you could sit out in the sun for a whole day and not feel that you were burnt until that night. Now you can feel the sun burn your skin the minute you walk outside. An Indian student I go to uni with asked me "why is the sun so hot in Australia, in India it's nothing like this"........and they are closer to the equator! You do have to be so very careful nowadays.
