On the berklee site they actually list him as an alumnus... hahaha. i wonder why... (not trying to put down the school, cause it's definitely an excellent school, but it's just funny how they use him for PR)
Hi Kevin! You are a great player and i agree that you are one of the greats,no doubt about that, but... You are getting better since the last time i saw you. That was in Lisbonne (Teatro Sao Luis), a few years ago! With the same drummer, right? I'm the owner of the "Jazz Chorus 120" you was playing with!
It's so nice to finally see some clips of Kevin. From a technique standpoint, in a time when there are lots of players using picks, fingerpicks, and acrylics, Kevin just uses bare flesh on the picking hand, and achieves one of the most unique tones ever - and it is so individualistic that it cannot be copied - one of the reasons he's one of the greats.
Hi Kevin. Great clip. Been a fan since I found the cd's you did with Eddie Higgins an Kirk Lightsey. Of course Live at Bradley's is super! Maybe you would like to check my videos and give a few tips!?
Same technique as Mick Goodrick, no?

Actually, he has EVERY technique in both his hands. He's amazing. Probably the most under rated guitarist today!!

this guy has very strange technique in his right hand, but he is very efficient.

An inspiring player, no doubt -- my three faves:
Opening Night, World Trio, Extensions.

I love the sound of that guitar. It is custom made by the great Puerto-rican Luthier, Abe Rivera. Abe is a genius of luthiery arts.

If you like Kevin Eubanks, stop what you are doing and go buy an album he is on by Dave Holland called Extensions. The best damn guitar playing EVER!

I heard a rumor that he got booted from Berklee for refusing to use a plectrum. Anyone heard about this?

He actually dropped out out of frustration, for that very reason.
