@tidus5ffx and the MANY others that think I edited this... YOU ARE WRONG. Time for some history. The 1997 remake of Mach Go Go Go has seen TWO releases in the USA. The first wasn't even via TV but was on a CD put out by BRATS Interactive called "Speed Racer: The Ultimate Interactive Companion". On that CD is one episode of "Speed Racer Y2K". Later on DiC Entertainment aired "Speed Racer X" on Nickelodeon's short-lived action block, Slam. This IS the opening credits to "Speed Racer Y2K".

You know, I always wondered why they never finished this show on nick all those years ago. I thought I missed out on all the episodes, then went to wiki and discovered it got cancelled. What a shame. Then again, this theme was a real stretch from the original and well..the show put me to sleep with all teh talking.

wow people clam down :) I'm pretty sure 'this' was never made. The show was made in Japan, but was never brought to America. Some fan made this using the the song rearrangement by Matthew Sweet (for the Saturday Morning Cartoons cd). Personally I think it's clever, using the updated song with the updated show. And like someone else mentioned, I'd much rather watch this than the flash/cgi animated abomination Speed Racer goes to Hogwarts for racing drivers on Nick.

Actually for you SR newbs, this isn't Speed Racer The Next Generation or "New Adventures," this was the extremely short-run Speed Racer 2000/SRX which is supposed to be the best Speed Racer show beside the original. It was a true remake and even used the same tight editing and voice over style as a homage. This show would have been great but the American version was cancelled after only a few episodes aired, and the show's production was never finished. Few episodes can be found in English.

Whoever sang this version didn't do a very good job... He even forgot some of the lyrics... It's "...And when the odds are against him and there's dangerous work to do/You bet your life Speed Racer will see it through". The "to do" part was kinda hard to hear in to old theme because of the sound effects.

On a more positive side, though, I did kinda like the "Go, speeeeeeeed, go!" parts.
