I love JK Rowling for doing this to the books. And I think it's so interesting to see how people have reacted. Remember the first films when mostly everybody thought of Snape as an annoying, mean slytherin-loving teacher? And now there's hundred of videos, paintings and drawings of him and he's called Severus. Like it's a completely different person. I think it's amazing that we hated Snape with Harry for years and found out about him and felt bad together with Harry. That is really special.

It is amazing. I remember reading the first book and watching the first movie and thinking, "Snape was created by JK Rowling to make fun of those mean and cold teachers everyone has in school." After reading and watching the Deathly Hallows, I see a brave and true man, loyal to both Dumbledore and Lily. This really reminds us to not judge people before trying to understanding them. When you have a cruel teacher, think of all the sacrifices and pain that probably transformed them that way.

I know that Snape finally turned everything around right after Lily and James died, but that doesn't mean we should forget why Lily left her. He was making friends with death eaters, insulting students, and calling Lily a mudblood. I love Snape's character to death, but I think a lot of people are forgetting why Lily left him. And don't insult James, without James there would be no Harry. With no Harry there would be no Harry Potter series, and in turn we would all be in a Twilight world.

3:49 just about wripped my heart out. I have played that moment over and over in my head and gasp at the thought. How can someone love a person so deeply and passionately and then lose them. I would probably be just as bitter and resentful as our beloved Snape was. Another moment just popped in to my head, a stark and poignant one. It was in the 7th movie and Ron yelled to Harry "No you don't know what it feels like, your parents are dead." What if they hadn't died, where would Snape be then?
