My wife will be in big trouble when SHTF. She's addicted to redbull and that's one thing we don't have a large supply of! Guns. Check. Bullets. Check. Food (to include seeds for growing food) Check. Bug out gear Food, water, water purification, shelter, fire building materials, guns, bullets, metal cash (won't be worth anything but I can make more bullets out of it!) packed and ready to go. Check. Anything I'm missing?
Agree with almost all of this except the part about people not having three days worth of food. I prep despite my wife's assertion that I am nuts. I have (by estimation) enough food here to keep us happy for up to six months. I also farm and have livestock and fishing ponds stocked with catfish and bluegills. I cant say that I know anyone who's pantry is so bare they could not survive for three days. Maybe that is a big city issue and not rural or suburban.
For first aid wound treatment feminine hygine products are ideal for pressure dressings. Guys it is not about manly this or that, it is about life or death.
hopefully i run into the guy that wants to trade a gun for food. i have an assault from 21 years ago and cant afford to have it expunged. once i have a years worth of food ill save to have it expunged but with the current gun laws i imagine lots are in a similar situation.
With the ridicules expense of medications and Insurance companies keeping track of every pill people take, how do you propose people getting a stock of mediations? I hear a lot of saying (including FEMA) you need to have a stock of medications but no help on how to achieve it.
For Rifle Marksmanship training go to "RWVA dot ORG". We teach the same way the USMC does. Learn NPOA, the 3 positions, correct sling use, 3 shot sight-in, inches/minutes/clicks and American Heritage in 2 days, for no more than $70. TOTAL cost. Women $10. & under 21 yrs old $5. We have & do teach the US Army also. Watch "Fort Stewart Appleseed". Over 30,000 so far since 2006. Watch the feature video on my Channel. Thanks for these fine videos guys & dolls! Thanks, Johnny
sanitary napkins were invented during wwi for real war wounds (cotton shortage so not enough bandages) they are better then most medical gaze wiki it (the nurses used them because they had nothing else and well it worked wonders) so if you prepare them right they will be perfect (still thou tampons to the rescue hahahaha funny)

Lots of Vitamin C - which provides detoxification and aids healing. These are my first lines of defense.
As far as emergency dressings for serious wounds - and laugh if you want - but I've considered that a couple of sanitary napkins might do in a pinch. No?

$299 will get you a basic light armor front (protect abdominals, heart and lungs) and 3A armor on the back for people who WILL hunt you or take advantage of situations...like when your back is turned.
Thanks for taking the time to do these videos. I just found your channel and love it. I appreciate the effort you make. In a SHTF situation your skills could be bartered for food and supplies. People that know how to do useful things will fare better than accountants for example. Nothing against accountants - that is a necessary service right now. But perhaps not a service required in a crisis.
A lot of videos talk about owning a gun, or how to use them. Most preppers own a firearm, and may spent time at the range dialing in their shooting. But one thing is never mentioned the WILLINGNESS to take life. You have to be mentally prepared for taking a human life. Most urban preppers I doubt have ever killed a rabbit, coyote, or harvested a deer and with a firearm. Gunning down a desperate neighbor will be VERY traumatic. So prep your head, as well as your gun cabinet, and pantry.
GMO seeds are NOT useful in a SHTF scenario. If you grow, grow organic. It requires less additional things. Its actually healthy for you not bad for you (chemical residues will kill you over time and cause countless diseases and sicknesses). It will wield seeds for future growing. There is absolutely no reason period to use GMO seeds other than ignorance.
Most people have a day or two worth of food in their house... about 1/3 of people have about a weeks worth of food in their houses. Probably less than 1% have more than a week and a very small number have 6 months or more. I am one of the more. It takes around 25 to 55 days to starve to death depending on a person's health, and think we'll see a famine hit around day 30 or 35 of a nation wide crisis which is coming within a couple years if not sooner. Most people don't believe its coming.
I went through Hurricane Andrew-2 months without power and one week without water (in the dead of summer) I was young but I still remember it as if it was yesterday..it's worse then one can imagine.
C'mon, why is it when a male and female have a conversation that consists of more that 10 words, there's automatically people assuming its sexual chemistry. Ummm... i think they are both married.
Great overview video! I would like to add one item that I have found extremely useful. A doctor friend of my who does wilderness medicine constructed my kit and in it always is a large bottle of aspirin. He told be if he had to be stranded on a desert island with only one drug it would be aspirin. I never leave home without it when going into the woods for even a few days. I also wholeheartedly back the Patriot Nurse on the Musinex.
I'm putting this out there for the survival and prepping community. I use colloidal silver, and experiment on myself in it's application. I had a urinary tract infection, symptoms of burning, frequent urge to urinate. I attempted drinking a cup of colloidal silver for several days There was no noticeable relief. I then introduced CS directly into the urinary meatus and within minutes experienced relief. I gave myself several more treatments and experienced great relief within hours.
I disagree with Mr. Yeager about the guy taking his $500 gun to his next door neighbor and trading it for 4 cents worth of rice. If the guys little baby girl is crying because she is hungry he will do whatever it takes to feed his little 4 year old, trading his gun will mean there is nothing he can do for her tomorrow. He may be morally descent but he is not stupid.
@somebobyinsomeplace You are not very realistic or you speak without thinking, What would you do if your little 3 year old baby girl had not eaten anything in a week. Would you just say OH! WELL and just let her die, or would you take your $500 dollar gun and do whatever is necessary to feed her? I don't have any children but if I did I would do any & everything to preserve their health/life. Pull your head out of your butt and start to live in the real world.
i've tried to germinate seeds from harvest of previous years gardens for 3 years now. nothing. and i have a greenthumb. i either usually used to buy the baby plants at lowes or quality farm or bought packs of seeds at trader horn.....but those fruits dont come back via those seeds inside...
i always thought they were lyin to me. how can you make a seed not sprout?
well, they can make a seed that doesnt grow....and thats scary.
@ProthoPectore If you don't already know, you might find it useful to know that all seeds sold by companies owned by the bigger company Monsanto will be non producing genetically modified seeds. If you want to find seeds that will produce plants which produce viable seeds research which seed brand are not owned by Monsanto (most are) buy organic seeds from your local organics store or privately owned grow store. Those seeds will produce viable progeny. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
@ProthoPectore There is only a 50/50 % chance a hybrid plant seeds will produce fruits the next year.
Seeds from a GMO plant will not. You need to get Heirloom plants or seeds to harvest seeds for next year and research how to harvest and take care of the seeds you get out of the vegetables, look it up it's on the internet.
@jedifrog7 Does it work? Yes. But it should be understood, this is a LAST resort and you cannot dump large quantities of fluid into somebody cavalierly. The standard for proctoclysis (rectal rehydration) is 100-200 ml/hr. IV fluid is the gold standard, but the fluids must be sterile. Proctoclysis gets over this hurdle in that the fluids do not have to be sterile, but it REALLY is smarter that way.
@jedifrog7 i saw on 1000 ways to die someone got drunk through that process and died I wouldn't want to try that since it enters the bloodstream faster and you might giveyourself and enema o.O
Bean sprouts.. Lentils etc. store em, sprout em, eat em and survive. Walmart trucks will stop rolling and fresh veggies will be no more. NWO spewing the skies with toxins, causing not so nice weather, snow, floods and parched lands. Bean sprouts packed full of nutrients. Nice addition to the stock pile of rice and beans.
I think after the initial disaster D-day +1 you'll have about 96 hours to big out or to reposition yourself. To the readers of this comment...you don't have to get everything at once. When you shop for food...get some extra food for storage. Get some first aid and store it. The thing about disasters is there is almost no warning. The more you do today the less you have to worry about tomorrow.
Good overview... Thank you! I am not as well versed as yourselves, but I have a feeling that "order" will degrade faster than anyone expects. As you mention (in regards to firearms training), you don't necessarily rise to the occasion, but revert. Am I a cynic or a realist?
This guy honestly thinks that people are going to trade a gun for a bowl of rice? He's in for a rude awakening.
I grew up in Flint, MI (one of the most dangerous cities in the country) and I can tell you that when people are desperate, many of them will do anything to survive.
When people get hungry, you'll be surprised how quickly they can become violent. Don't expect them to trade their guns for a rice, they will likely rob their neighbors of their rice.
...Dear James Yeager. You look ALOT like rapper/actor Ice T, minus the hair.
But yes, um thanks to the crazy winter last week, Dallas has learned that the city WILL shut down on you and you WILL find your ass at home with little to nothing you'd wish to eat, and no way to get to the food, and no access to heat because the so-called rolling blackout actually lasted 7 hr due to you being too close to Cowboys' Stadium before the superbowl...
Young patriots, we went through all this back in the 90s, and others in the 80s, only now many more are aware. Every summer it was "This October the tanks are gonna roll."
There's nothing wrong with being prepared. We need to get patriots to focus on taking our country back. That will take more than a few election cycles. It's time to stop hunkering down for the apocalypse and start thinking Normandy.
Don't understand? Follow my links. Read the quotes page first.
@waypasthadenough Got that right I DO REMEMBER THE 80s/90s , WE WHERE LABLED AS EVERYTHING BUT WHAT WE WHERE ACTUALLY DOING (PREPARING) for hard times! Anytime a person went to a range and you wore a pair of camo PANTS ,you were automatically a miltia nutjob ! If you bought or LOOKED at a AR15 in a gun store your a nutjob ! FUNNY HOW THINGS CHANGE! BELIEVE ME I WILL NEVER FORGET ! To this day I still DONT TRUST,WHY? LOOK AT WHERE THIS COUNTRY HAS GONE SINCE THEN,I NEED NOT EXPLAIN !
I have a neighbor who works at WalMart. He says that most common food items are on the shelf less then 48 hours. Many are turned every 24 hours. People who are counting on the stores in an emergency are going to be very disappointed. And hungry.
Hey, about James' comment about the camelback up the butt, my understanding is that, with an individual that is unconscious and if you have no IV, rehydration can be affected through enemas with the same content as oral rehydration therapy. Can you confirm? This could be important with a child....
@Survive2Day You can, but you better mix the fluid right. You can screw somebody up bigtime if you put hypotonic fluid into a person who is already dehydrated and has funky electrolytes. That is a LAST resort in my opinion.. Not saying i would never do it, but I would definitely prefer oral rehydration or IV fluids.
Bringing up the subject of Med's during an emergency is awesome. You're really going to spark some thoughts within a great many people. Great job guys!
from "survivalist to responsible citizens just like that" dont kid yourself, when SHTF you will be called right wing militia nut, hoarder, whatever the liberal press flavor of the week is, they want you to stock pile beans and band aids..... bullets not so much.
Completely agree with. Although we do not have firearms, we have a way to get them if needed. This is an area that we wrestle with. I have 4 young children and don't feel comfortable keeping them in our home, so can you offer some advice on the topic. I have heard many things, but nothing that has really been much help. Thank you in advance and this has been a great help. God bless, be well, and stay safe in Him!
New Madrid Fault Line, but yeah, if it goes, it could be bad. Every bridge may not collapse, but it did ring bells in New York last time it went off (1800's).
Patriot nurse is the the perfect women good looking , smart , and as paranoid as I am !!! Lol great video very good info and I soak up all the info I can for problem situations.
In a WROL situation...BEWARE OF THE POLICE!!! Don't count on them...they will actually be after your food, gear and will be the most effective home invadors. Good cops are already prepping and will be protecting their familly...wich is totally understandable. The ones remaining pretending good will only be problems.
@Lepiratepoulpe I agree. The cops in my city have almost completely stopped going after criminals and instead spend most of their time writing tickets and trying to collect revenue to pay their salaries.
Wow, awesome vid guys....great info, I already watch ThePatriotNurse regularly, now I'm convinced I need to be watching James Yeager as well. Bravo...Well done.
the food chain, from plantin' to stomach would have to have a dramatic or traumatic interruption in order for it to change from what we've had for the past 50 yrs.. maybe things to look at.. it it doesn't get planted, it doesn't get picked.. if it doesn't get furtilizer, sun and/or rain, it won't grow.. if it gets picked but not processed, there's a break in the chain.. if it gets processed but not delivered, another break.. watch the steps, cultivation, plantin', pickin', process and deliver..
...when the power goes out at the stores, the computer registers shut down... sales come to a stop and they push people out of the stores and lock the doors...

@ProthoPectore The GMO seeds often have a gene inhibitor that causes this. Isn't genetic manipulation wonderful?
With hybrids it can screw up the genetic sequence in the seeds produced. Ben known for years
This is a good way to keep farmers buying seed every year. as lots of money is spent developing the hybrids.

And hungry.

Now need my patriotnurse.....what a cutie!!!!!:)
masterchief3737 1 year ago
You two are really cute together. :)
May I make a suggestion on the 3 major medical things you should have. Just my thoughts.
Vitamens, motrin and anti-biotic oitment
Every thing else is a given.
Your going to be stuck with a food base that is most likly less nutrient valued.
You will need a medication for fever and a topical adherant if needed.
These are just my thoughts and I think you both are fantastic :D

Hey, about James' comment about the camelback up the butt, my understanding is that, with an individual that is unconscious and if you have no IV, rehydration can be affected through enemas with the same content as oral rehydration therapy. Can you confirm? This could be important with a child....
Survive2Day 1 year ago
@Survive2Day You can, but you better mix the fluid right. You can screw somebody up bigtime if you put hypotonic fluid into a person who is already dehydrated and has funky electrolytes. That is a LAST resort in my opinion.. Not saying i would never do it, but I would definitely prefer oral rehydration or IV fluids.

@ThePatriotNurse So what % saline would you shoot for? 3%? I have no clue here.

You guys put out awesome info. I did not understand how blind I was until lately and I am way behind that it scares the hell out of me.
jnk475 1 year ago
Completely agree with. Although we do not have firearms, we have a way to get them if needed. This is an area that we wrestle with. I have 4 young children and don't feel comfortable keeping them in our home, so can you offer some advice on the topic. I have heard many things, but nothing that has really been much help. Thank you in advance and this has been a great help. God bless, be well, and stay safe in Him!

New Madrid Fault Line, but yeah, if it goes, it could be bad. Every bridge may not collapse, but it did ring bells in New York last time it went off (1800's).

In a WROL situation...BEWARE OF THE POLICE!!! Don't count on them...they will actually be after your food, gear and will be the most effective home invadors. Good cops are already prepping and will be protecting their familly...wich is totally understandable. The ones remaining pretending good will only be problems.
Lepiratepoulpe 1 year ago
@Lepiratepoulpe I agree. The cops in my city have almost completely stopped going after criminals and instead spend most of their time writing tickets and trying to collect revenue to pay their salaries.

the food chain, from plantin' to stomach would have to have a dramatic or traumatic interruption in order for it to change from what we've had for the past 50 yrs.. maybe things to look at.. it it doesn't get planted, it doesn't get picked.. if it doesn't get furtilizer, sun and/or rain, it won't grow.. if it gets picked but not processed, there's a break in the chain.. if it gets processed but not delivered, another break.. watch the steps, cultivation, plantin', pickin', process and deliver..
