MAKE SURE TO TRY THE TURBO DIESEL BEFORE THE 1.800 TS! lots of WOW! with low fuel consumption.

the turbo diesel is better than the 1.800!!!

it has a lot of pull from 1.500 rpm and you can feel the turbo helping you all the way to high revs!

the atmospheric 1.800 must be working about in 5.000rpm to feel the difference and doesn't give the torque in the way that the diesel does.

Kinda of defeats the purpose of fuel economy when you have to put more expensive fuel in the tank...

yes, diesel fuel is more expensive, but i have yaris diesel and has average consumption

4.9 l/100km! the 1.800 has about 7.2 l/100km, so do the math! ok the truth is that diesel pays off only if you do a lot of mileage, you must do 50.000+ km every year in order to have important economy. do the calculations to see it also.

plus the diesel is 1.400, so you have lower insurance cost and taxes, cheaper tires etc.

in the U.K. you can find a version of YARIS (the latest one) in 1.300 c.c. (gasoline) and 1.400 c.c. (turbo diesel) with TS look with spoilers, rear lights and all!!!
