Harris toured as a member of Parsons' band, The Flying Burrito Brothers, in 1973, and recorded on their album 'Grievous Angel'. After Parsons died of overdose in Sept. 1973, Harris was devastated and wrote her most well-known song 'Boulder to Birmingham'.

Love hurts. Thats really all we need to remember. Cant think of when it didnt hurt. Doesnt matter if it was me & a fella or me trying to care for family. Its a pain. With all due respects to Graham, Emmylou makes anyone sound wonderful. She can harmonize or take the lead vocals, but the talent can't be denied.
