How do you finish your rifles? I am thinking of using the gunn kote matte black on my first build...I am in the process of acquiring the necessary tools to begin assembly. Bye the way, thanks for posting all of your videos...they are an excellenct source of information for someone like myself who is just getting started!
@jthuffm123 It's gunkote. I blast them, park them, paint them, then bake them. Heat up the parts to 175 before you shoot them with paint, then bake them at 350 for 2 hours or so.
@BuildyourownAK Thanks for the response! I have one other question - If I got a nodak receiver to replace the one of my wasr-10/63 (need mag well dimples) would I have to register it as a completely new gun, or could I just replace the part, engrave the serial number/etc and destroy the old receiver? Thanks
I demill the parts kits then build them on 100% receivers. I use nodakspud receivers. They are fully heat treated, rather than spot treated like flats, and I think the results are cleaner.

@skype7891 KG Gunkote. I have also used Norrell's MolyResin with good results. I do not like Duracoat.

Will standard AK 74 receivers work on the Bulgarian AKS74U?
Thinking about building either one of these or a Bulgarian AKS 74.
mugofdoom 2 years ago
An AKS-74 and AKS-74U use the same receiver. I recommend a nodakspud NDS-2SF

I'm not a licenced manufacturer, I can only build guns for my personal use.

do you do 80% builds, or just assemble kits?

Glad you made another movie!
If you did vids on folding and heat treating flats that'd be tits.

I don't bend flats, for many reasons. I'm not going to go into it, but don't expect any videos on this subject.
