They scrub the sulfur out of the flue gases of the power plant to reduce pollution. The resulting material is a product that can be used to balance the soil pH. It is a fine chalky powder, that will cling like corn starch as this video shows!
Is this stuff pretty cheap? Are you still in favor of using it? I assume your using this instead of lime?
