  • Why are you keeping wild animals.

  • isnt that the one rare cat, thats like a cheetah or whatever? the only wild cat that can be house trained?

  • @Honkie906 Nope it is just a serval. They sell them in pet stores in some states

  • and i thought cats were afraid of water

  • @MrFishingrocks Tigers aren't afraid of water, they love it. And besides, not all cats hate water

  • @Wasakracker79 from what i know all animals used to be wild at one point in time or another so stop acting like having a exotic pet is a bad thing cause all dogs used to be wild all cats used to be wild all snakes birds spiders turtles lizards they all used to be wild i think cats and dogs decided to become pets to humans themselves so think before u talk about stuff

  • ARE you OK0??? pfff servaall isn't a domestic animal

  • that is so cute!!

  • @maw100 is that a savannah or a actual serval?

  • Sevrals are not domestic animals!! there a LOT different from your normal kitty! SO BE CAREFUL!

  • Serval isn't a pet,it's a wild animal.

I hate people who buy exotic animals, just trying to be intresting.

Trust me,these people are no petlovers or catlovers.

    There just showoffs.

" Look at me and my Serval "

  • @Wasakracker79 It's nice to see you can be so judgemental of an entire group of people. You must be a very pleasant person.

For the record, I have every intention of owning a serval someday.

  • I wish that they would put more time and effort into domesticating wild cats like the Serval, as well as making them more common.

  • @immortalfrieza The main problem is that they tend to pee all over, and it requires a whole ton of training and cat knowledge to successfully keep these cats. I mentioned to my vet that I wanted one, and he went off on a rant on how many people get these cats and then when they can't keep them any more for whatever reason, because he is the exotics vet that works with the SPCA, he gets to be the guy to put them down, and he absolutely hates it. Not saying it can't be done, but it's very hard.

  • @Henrika16 That's my point, they should be working to make it easier to have one.

  • @Henrika16

    duhhhh,it's a wild animal.

That's how they mark there territory.

    It isnt a problem.

Problem are the people who keep these animals as a pet.

  • @Wasakracker79 From what I've heard, Servals are perfectly capable of being pets, they just haven't gained widespead acceptance as such.

  • to be honest i have never liked cats before but i have to admit i really do like this type, reminds me of a dog.

  • awsome cat

  • Not sure what the fighting here is about, but the cat is gorgeous and looks happy too.

  • 1:41 I like the part where she goes "ooh, ooh ooh!"

  • geezz...such a beautiful animal.....with all the traffic noise in the background.....not cool.

  • such an event, mr meow meow needs to polish his technique though.

  • nice cat!! but.. I hate the noise in the background :(

  • that cat looks like a snail and thats amazing set up how d oyou filter it thought?

  • what why is there a leopard

  • Goldfish are notoriously difficult to catch...

  • were did you get that cat i have been trying to find someone who sells them but noooooo luck

  • I got my serval from a lady in the L.A. Area. I dont have her number anymore. But if you just go online and do a search for servals you will find breeders. I think the cost is $1500 - $2000. I paid $1500 10 years ago.

  • @maw1000 You will probably pay more than that now, but the enclosure and cat run, and the costs of an exotic vet will be a lot more than that! Not saying don't do it, just be sure you know what you are getting into, these cats require a ton of time and money.

  • @maw1000 Brave woman, then. Exotics are illegal in CA and if anyone who owns one where they're not allowed is caught, the animal is immediately destroyed.

  • @lizlawson1 You are aware that this is a wild animal, yes? They might have been bred in captivity, but unlike dogs and cats, there haven't been as much selective breeding on these kind of animals as on pets as we know. This means that they are a lot more unreliable, and need special care. But of course, you read all this long before you'd even got the idea of getting your own, and knows everything there is to know about servals, right? :)

  • @Giesji you do know people have these as pet all around the world right?

  • @Jayseph143 And? Does that make them less wild, or does that make people more educated about them, or whats your point?

  • @Giesji my point is directed towards the end of your comment where you tried saying, they basically shouldn't get a serval due tot heir Special care that they need, like they don't have the ability to do so. you acted as if you knew everything about servals, and in order to own one, you also needed to be some expert on them.

  • @Jayseph143 What on earth does that have to do with people owing them around the world? I'm not a serval expert, but I don't have to be one to know that you have to educate yourself a lot before getting an animal like a serval. Isn't it common sense that you have to know what you are dealing with, in order to take proper care of the animal, serval or not?

  • @Giesji you tell me, you're the one being a smart-ass to the person asking where to get one, like you know everything about them.. You make no sense explaining this stuff back. and seriously how old are you? arguing over Youtube comments. Real mature of you eh? Please for everyone's sake, don't message back, just save your snappy comment because i seriously won't read or give a shit about it. Thanks bye.

  • @Jayseph143 Thats a real mature way to avoid confrontation :)

You're right.. I ought to stop, because we are clearly not on the same page here.

  • @Giesji Wow you really are dumb. Confrontation is over, i already confronted you. You really need to know what you're doing before you start typing up random shit trying to sound smart.

  • @Jayseph143 Look, I'm really sorry that you've in any way felt offended by anything I said. I believe that you have totally misunderstood what I am trying to say. I have never intended to be "a smart ass" or in any way claimed to be a serval expert. I don't encourage people to educate themselves about an animal before they buy with the intention of mocking them. What I'm trying to say is really just down to earth and plain. I never meant to offend anyone by it. I hope you understand now :)

  • @Giesji Wow you like this other guy, obviously can not grasp simple facts.. i'm not offended but i'm sure the person you've acted like a smart ass to was quite offended from the comment. and the way you talk does, make you seem like you're acting like an expert on animals. and if you're not an expert you can't encourage anyone to educate themselves on anything, as you yourself are obviously, not educated at all.

  • @Jayseph143 Maybe I just get misunderstood too easily.. Trust me, I never intended to be a smart ass :)

No, I don't have to be an expert in servals if I don't own one. If I did, I had to. My point is not that everyone should be expert in every single animal, just to own one (because thats nearly impossible, unless you're studying zoology) but you have to know what you are dealing with, in order to let the animal thrive as your pet. For example, you don't go buy an aquarium when you get a bird

  • @Giesji Wow your ability to be a smart ass while saying you're not one is completely impeccable. You really need to stop talking, because you're not making any sense at all at this point.

  • @Jayseph143 I give up with you. You obviously doesn't want to see me as anything else than a smartass. If you only want to be aggressive towards me and talk shit, even though I try to explain myself and apologies, then you are obviously the idiot and I'm wasting my time. I don't hope you own any animals, since you don't think its necessary to know just a bit about what it needs so it can thrive, and that can lead to animal cruelty. If you think that sort of things is okay, then you're an asshole

  • @Jayseph143 You're ability to stay an idiot however is impressive. I feel sorry for you, than you might live in a world full of smart asses like me... The only problem is, you're the one making them smart asses, because you refuse to see any good in people, even when there is a misunderstanding. If you refuse to reconsider you're view on people, everyone will stay smart asses in your world, because you are too stubborn to admit that you might have had the wrong impression to begin with. Bye.

  • @Giesji Nope, you're the only person in this world i consider a smart ass. everyone else i'm fine with, because they don't lie about something so obvious. Your ability to try and act smart has once again failed and back fired in your face.

  • ok thx

  • too much water

  • whats a serval srry for the noob question

  • because hes a wild cat and he still has his hunting instincts... if he was just neglected of those instincts he would pray on bigger things like birds (which he probably still does) and other stray cats... wouldent u rather give him fish?

  • yep =)

  • Idiot because you did not tell him of his testicles eat?

  • Wow! What a beautiful cat! Servals are great, they have such pretty markings!
