I'd take the joke and run with it if it was funny in any way. I hate that there's a stereotype about nerds/gamers/movie geeks out there that says they're shut ins, unsuccessful and live with their folks.

The world is run by nerds and perpetuating a stereotype like that doesn't do anything but make you look uninformed and classist.

And I'm not a gamer per-se. I barely play games at all. Most of my days are spent watching movies and writing for different websites or running a non profit org.

How many critics do you know? I think we're all very unique and interesting. The old guard is on the way out and the new guard is very diverse and there's a critic for every taste out there.

Find some one you like and trust and then follow them. That's what it's all about.

If you don't get that by now, and you really think we're all alike then maybe you don't understand critics at all.
