  • ..........Who's Don?

  • Hey man, Good job! Well, I was searching some ROV projects on net and I found yours. The motors really suits what we need. We are developing one here. Can you tell me where did you find these motors? They seem very strong to work underwater...thanks!

  • Why did you use relays? Wouldn't that just be excessive? Since your 12VDC power source is on land, wouldn't the tether be thinner and wouldn't it be easier to run your 4 thrusters with 4 Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT) switches with a control box? The onboard relay setup seems pointless/redundant. Reasoning behind this?

  • Johnnybart2, for our senior year project in high school we're building an underwater ROV. Your video has been the most informative we've found by far. I just had a few questions if you could answer them, namely what type of bilge pump motor you're using/would you recommend using a size larger or smaller? also, did the lateral motor work well, or did you find turning and then moving forward to be a better method of movement? Thanks!

  • where did you get your motors, im looking for some and you said they dont have to be water proffed. where did you get them?

  • All you need is some torpedoes and you'll be ready to defend the pond from the menace of U-boats!

  • Good stuff.

  • Good works, keep going...But unfortunately water is not transparent for Infra red and laser lights.

Instead put some ultra-bright LED's or some other light source...I hope I save your time.

  • this is the design out of a book right?

  • cool, good luck, can't wait to see your results. I am interested to see how the camera works if you go deep enough to get out of the sunlight because I bought a similar camera that i'm going to be using for the same thing.

  • how much it could be?

  • What is the max lenght of com cable?

  • @SealedVFR

RS232 is good for about 15 meters.
