  • @robinhoodtn1 You are simply wrong about that. A felony can not be wiped out, and no felon can own a gun therefore no felon can be a cop. On another site you said it was 10 years, on here you say 3. And you lie about the felons in some TN counties. 4 felons were hired because no one did a background check (or maybe even were compliant), the mayor and police chief lost their jobs over it, and the entire police department was nearly decertified for it. The rare exception a felon gets through.

  • @robinhoodtn1 Many people would say the same about Grant, being glad that Oakland does not have to put up with a violent career criminal anymore. I think that is a cold and heartless view, but it certainly could be just as logically argued. Can you provide any evidence that police records of felonies are overlooked in TN? Something that can be independently verified as fact? If so, yes, that is way too messed up!

  • @robinhoodtn1 I agree he should never be a police officer again. I don't think he should have been one in the first place, by all accounts we was way too much a pacifist (as ironic as that may sound now). He never can be an officer again, since he is a convicted felon now. He can never have a gun. He can never even vote.

  • @robinhoodtn1 Not every witness claims Grant was not resisting. Only a few who were proven to have not even been there, and a couple too drunk to have recalled their names much less what happened. Even a few people who were recording were saying he should stop resisting. Numerous videos from various angles proves he WAS resisting. And I have always said Grant did NOT deserve to die, and that Mehserle deserves prison time. But this was not intentional, this was NOT murder. This was an accident.

  • @robinhoodtn1 You simply aren't the brightest bulb on the tree, are you? There were enough cops? 5 cops total. 4 suspects, 2 unrestrained. 8-9 people on the platform encroaching on (3 who assaulted) officers. How many dozens on the train? Only Mehserle was on Grant, Pirone was assisting while also restraining one of Grant's friends.

  • @robinhoodtn1 This was clearly an accident. Murder requires intent, there was none here. Two years is wholly appropriate.

  • they batter justification him or there is going to be alot of people dieing matafact the wole city is going to burn..

  • @dartmouthalum96 shut the fuck up there's no way to justify this shit your just as much a pathetic piece of shit as this faggot on trial. I don't give a fuck if he was fighting on Bart that's still no reason to shoot the kid especially when he's cooperating on his stomach with his hands cuffed behind his back!!!! You need to rethink that comment you fuckin dumbass!!!!

  • @Rippenoowuns21 Grant was 1) NOT handcuffed and was 2) NOT cooperating. You should check your facts before you call others names.

  • There is absolutely no justification at all for the officer to use even a taser with an individual who's freaking COOPERATING, as every witness as well as the video has stated. He is suppose to be a professional, with extensive training including the ability to distinguish between a gun and a taser. Even if he was WHITE drunk, high off meth, coked out and pilled up who was pulled off the train for the same reason, etc it was still wrong. There is no justification for the officers actions.

  • @elmcitychick Absolutely there was justification for the use of a taser. 1) Grant was not cooperating, he was resisting. If he were cooperating they would have been able to cuff him. After a full 30 seconds of struggling officers were still unable to cuff him. He was resisting arrest. 2) Grant had assaulted officers. 3) There were still unrestrained suspects. 4) Individuals from the crowd were hostle and had begun assaulting officers. So yes, tasing Grant would have been 100% appropriate.

  • @elmcitychick I agree there is no excuse for the shooting of Grant. Mehserle shold have been more professional, but Mehserle panicked because the situation was out of control and Grant was fighting with officers and not complying with their orders. Tasing would be appropriate, my reasons for that conclusion are below.

  • Mehserle should never have been charged with first-degree murder. At most, Grant's shooting was accidental. Added to this is the fact that Grant was a player in his own demise. If Grant hadn't been fighting and out of control on that BART train, Mehserle never would have come in contact with him. Why do so many blacks resort to excuses of racism instead of taking responsibility for themselves and their community? Hopefully Mehserle will be acquitted.

  • I don't hate that officer, no he mind was over taken, I forgive him, Mr Officer, I know it was accidental thinking, and some things just happened, I send my condoliences to you, God bless you and your family, but right now you have got to pay for the wrong that you did, we are not to judge you, but God is and him alone. Now is a good time to ask God for forgiveness, cause you are a cop going to jail for murder. Get your life together, Acts 2:38
