During your 6 month stretch, did you get any small knots or kinks as your NG grew in more and when detangling? I am finding detangling to be quite a challenge. I am currently 14 weeks post, hoping to go 6 months. Will you do more 6 month stretches or this is one and done? (I'm not done watching your series on this)
@yogawaga: Thx! No, I didn't notice many small knots at all as my NG grew in more. I think that is because I made sure that I detangled well on my wash day. I had to start getting out of the shower after about 11 weeks or so to detangle. I would sit in front of the tv with a wide tooth comb and my Mane and Tail detangling spray. Then I would detangle in sections little by little making sure it was really detangled. I probably will do another 6 month stretch. Maybe after the baby is born.
@MsBlackbarbie757: Basically, just making sure the line of demarcation (where my relaxed hair and new growth meet) stays moisturized and strong. So I M&S every night, co-wash frequently and do protein treatments every week. Also, I am careful when I am combing. You will get more shedding though. Shedding is not a problem I worry about. It is breakage.
@calledforhiswill: I like t shirt drying my hair because it is lighter than a big bulky towel (IMO) and it doesn't pull on the hair like a towel does. So basically what you said.
Congrats on your pregancy also. Just wondering, is it worse to relax during your first trimester as oppose to the other trimesters or was it just a personal choice?
@ediotu7 : This was a personal preference for me. The 1st trimester is the most critical phase of the baby's development with all the organs being formed, etc. so the baby is more susceptible to what you do and put into your body. So FOR ME, and I want to stress that, I prefer to only relax during the second the third trimesters.
do you moisturize and seal everyday? Also what do you put on your scalp?

@Vallen4226: Yup, every night. I put my oil concotion which is castor oil and coconut oil on my scalp about twice a week.
