The part about the doctors is ambiguous,you can argue both ways,but claiming that qi-gong can cure any disease is ridiculous,never mind curing other people.the second case with the crazy guy is sad,instead of turning to professional help,he turned to FLG.Reminds me of how scientology helped Lisa McPherson.all i know is the CPP is giving china a 9% GDP growth rate,while FLG promises magical cure for illnesses.FLG is also guilty of propaganda,it says a lot but it doesnt provide credible sources.

i personally couldnt count the number of people who were cured of problems their doctors could not help them with. I had my feet cured, my friends dad had his eye sight cured. Tai-chi also cures millions but not half as fast as Falun Dafa! You are either lying or have not put forth an effort to go around asking falun dafa people how it helped them mentally or physically. Chi gong does work wonders for health, but it wont relocate a dislocated shoulder lol, but my point stands.

In any case think twice before believing rumours. Beating people is against the principles of Falun Gong that teaches to not fight back even when beaten and not talk back when insulted.

Some scientific studies have been carried out eg on homeopathy which have proved its effectiveness. Many scientists are reluctant to acknowledge this as they cannot explain it.

actually the practice itself might be as good as tai chi and yoga, i used to learn it before in sydney, but i finally quit since when i practiced it, most people hated me, my friends asked me to leave falungong or leave them, my parents almost kicked me out from home, i was so surprised at that time given the fact that many of my friends and families have a very bad image on falungong

Implication being that only Li Hongzhi can cure the true cause of your illness. Hospitals can only provide a bandaid.

It doesn't change the context, it is also an untrue statement. He does talk about healing illness in the Zhuan Falun, see the previous citation beginning with: "Your illnesses will be cured directly by me."

In the sentence you included, he was speaking of practioners not healing illness, you can read the next paragraph to see this is the case. Yet he does claim to heal illness himself in the Zhuan Falun so that sentence is untrue.

As long as you realise he is not a living Buddah and he has no special powers that's fine. However in the Zhuan Falun he clearly implies that he is a living Buddah with special powers.

The chinese government does spread propaganda about Falun Gong and they are wrong for their response to it.

I do like the anti-communist stance Falun Dafa has, but it is also clear it is used as a tool to distract any critizism away from Falun Dafa itself.

Falun Dafa is an attempt by Li Hongzhi to diefy himself combining traditional Qi-Gong and Buddhism, nothing more. Practice Buddhism or Qi-Gong, no sense buying into the dogmatic mythology offered by Hongzhi.
