Just like Texas had to prove itself on the field against USC in 2005, we (AUBURN) would've done the same in 2004 had we been afforded the chance. However, we're not media darlings like USC, Texas, Ohio State, and that school up the road in our own state. Not complaining, just stating the facts. War Eagle.

Texas didn't play in the Rose Bowl b/c they were media darlings, they played b/c they were one of 2 undefeated teams. Auburn got screwed in 04 but Texas didn't get any special favors in 05.

They are often overlooked as a team, especially with Florida and Bama. They are very overrated, and Tim Tebow is the most overrated player in SEC history. Maybe even NCAA history.

The 09 Florida team didn't even win all of their games. The thing that made the 05 Texas team so good was that Vince refused to let them lose. When they were two minutes away from losing to Ohio State he drove them down the field and won it. When Oklahoma State jumped out to a several-touchdown lead, he brought them back single-handedly. And in the Rose Bowl he answered every Trojan score and drove down the field and scored. When he decides that he's going to win, he's going to win.

i'm not a texas fan but i have alot of respect 4 texas. i think colt mccoy may be the next vince young. they both had comeback wins. vince younge came back and won the nc for his team against usc. colt mccoy came back against ou and beat em by ten and they were down most of the game and kept fighting back and took the lead 4 good by i think 7 and i think the scord a fg to lead by 10.texas won 45-35. and then in the fiesta bowl colt came back and beat ohio state and won the fiesta bowl 4 texas.

I'm like thinking to myself they barely beat ND and Fresno St and they still haven't played in the national championship yet, can we wait till after the Rose Bowl to do this if they win?
