  • 6 months later comes nvidia derp derp derp with overpriced junk.

  • nice market research amd. Electro/bass music in the background and pushing for gamers. like!!

  • @SCComega

Dont forget acer ferrari! A trinity a10 ultrathin ferrari would be awesome! Especially if they make it silver coloured..

Also ips plus touch input would be nice.. I mean a ferrari windows 8 convertible..

Now that OS X mountain lion is released Trinity Macbook air should be considered as well..

It needs much more graphics than OS X Lion..

  • of course I said about 7770

  • ok 0:57 is a bit too much, anyway now I can crossfire with less of 300 euros and get the best of the latest drx?Nvidia is so overpiced at all

  • Just to tell. I oc'ed my XFX DD 7970 to 1125Mhz. This is "only" 200Mhz above stock. Limited through software, neither by temperatures nor by noise or enery consumption. Actually, it was clocked to 1Ghz without raising the power anyhow. Carefully said, it might be possible to achieve 30% oc without harming the components.

  • @lolwut1337n355 I've been using nVidia for years now. But I learned to see the difference. You don't actually need to have a heating+enormous energy consumption to have the BEST graphic solution. The 7970 is better than ANY S-GPU nVidia card out there. Frying circuits is no option.

  • Now, tell your engineers to make a combustible lemons :D

  • @zarithevill Noo Make Life Take The Lemons Back lol

  • 1:43 I won't settle for anything less... Time to get a new Nvidia card since they are better.

  • This makes my ATI Raedon HD4650 w/ 1Gig of DDR2 look like a piece of shit... Keep up the good work AMD ;)

  • @LegionOfOnslaught

And one more thing.. The specs of the intel hd graphics is not bad in paper.

    It just sucks in practice.

But NVIDIA somehow manages to deliver good performance through admirable software integration.

That said,I still think RADEON HD is better.

  • @LegionOfOnslaught

I agree with your view.. well not entirely. The intel hd graphics in my macbook air truly sucks. I think its because of poor driver integration.

They use the best of available transistors now, even that wont change the scenario unless something radical happens.

What I meant to say is that NVIDIA's upcoming technology will lag behind AMD's existing technology.

And its only advantage is its awesome drives.

  • Ps3

    Can I break it ?

    Lol

  • @BNHardwarereviews

Well dear... If intel had better graphics drivers even intel hd graphics would be better than Nvidia..

Just check your upcoming 'Kepler' and compare its specs with 7970...

    :D.

But I do agree that Nvidia's drivers are good..

They are falling behind these days because of their focus on mobile processors with ARM.

  • @vladlazlo are you mad i had intel hd for a year and it was the worst experience ever my 5 year old ati intergrated were better. got a gtx 560 now and its a world apart i couldnt care less if theres a new gen out.

  • @AMDUnprocessed

    Got a 7970.. Its great!

But I want something for my notebook.

It would be awesome if I get an amd trinity powered macbook air... I dont want plastic, cheap ultrathins. I want something really worthy..

I love my macbook air except that that its graphics sucks!

Thats why I want trinity's a10 series mobile apu in a macbook air..

  • @vladlazlo well, hopefully we'll be seeing some metal body ultrathins as well that are better running trinity, given that by the looks of things it will handily kick IB's rear end in the notebook department given that more or less everything that isn't spreadsheats or word processors is graphics accelerated these days.

also; Please Asus, Samsung, and HP; Please make metal body ultrathins.

  • AMD coming with it frist!

    Nvidia coming with the best!

  • @BNHardwarereviews Also, the hottest, less efficient, more power drawing, bad overclocking results, higher failure rate, and crappy drivers. I sure want the "best" card now!

  • @MINICLIPGAMER

AMD yes, Nvidia has trouble with the drivers and with their GPU technology sometimes produce they also crap GPUs.

  • @BNHardwarereviews

No, not again, their "behavior" (Nvidia must paid Trolls and Spamers) to consequences the nothing special to bring to market.

  • Now if only they could make their processors this bad ass >~> ...

  • All this and the 7970 is still only 22% faster than the 6970

  • I used to like AMD, but then I took a lagged arrow to the face...

  • this is gonna crush crysis

  • @coconutman2008 Crysis was raped by this card. Look at the benchmarks for this card.

  • @Jmerino7 This is true bro, damn this card is awesome..

  • haha awesome design. Smaller the CPU high the clock speed and low power consuming :)

  • lol never settle for anything less than AMD Radeon, theres nothing below the bottom of two manufacturers and AMD is the lesser one...

  • @Ri1seAgainst

Fool, brand names mean absolutely nothing. Bang for your buck does. Have you even seen this card's performance vs GTX 580? It beats it AND, it uses less power and produces less heat AND the GTX 580 has had a year of maturity with drivers, whereas the 7970 is still new architecture. The performance is only going to go up with newer drivers.

Don't even get me started on overclocking potential.

  • @Edge0fPain But you have to keep in mind that HD 7970 is already 28 nm, while GTX 580 is still 40 nm. So, on a technological level this comparison is quite pointless. We will have to wait for Nvidia's 28 nm cards for a fair comparison. However, I like AMD's architecture more, because they seem to use real vector ALUs. Which normally means more efficiency (more perf/watt, more perf/mm^2). I'm really looking forward to a full-fledged HSA implementation, Bulldozer + GCN.

  • Very good GPU! I tend to like Nvidia more, but this is a good ATI GPU. Of course Kepler will blow this, but that´s another story!

  • Physx is a detail because it has OpenCL and DirectCompute APIs... so you can have allllllll Physx you want!!!!!!!!! ;)

  • i would buy it if it had physx but without it no way

  • I came...

  • Who remembers when AMD radeon used to called AMD Ati Radeon?

  • @Aznganxter1 I'd rather have the ATI name back, I get confused all the time now when I see headlines like: "AMD announces new.........". I have no idea what part of the company it pertains to without diving into the article. To this day, I still refer to their cards as ATI Radeon - hard to break a meaningful habit.

The new architecture looks very promising, looking forward to it.

  • @Aznganxter1 it used to actually be just ati radeon b4 they sold to amd

  • I'm a nVidia user and fan

  • @Nvidia9700MGT

Being a fan on nVidia must be hard, considering how hot they get. Or are you slacking?

  • @Edge0fPain I hate ati because they does not have PhysX and the Digital Vibrance, I'm on a laptop and if I had an ATI, I would not have colors on my laptop screen

  • @Nvidia9700MGT

You didn't get mah joke :(

Not sure if troll... or just really stupid.

PhysX is simulated by CPU if you don't have nVidia and if you think that only nVidia produces colours then you're a fool.

  • @Edge0fPain am I the only fool who uses the Digital Vibrance so ?

  • @Nvidia9700MGT

Do you genuinely believe that only nVidia has colour. If you do, you are trolling. Good bye.

  • @Nvidia9700MGT

    Now I know you're trolling, kthxbai ;)

  • @Nvidia9700MGT

    what?

  • if everything said was put into bullet points, we would all be asking where's the proof and what's this all mean?

    i'll wait for the benchmarks.

  • intel Marketing and some x86 Desktop PC programs is a King of lies, Thank you intel.

  • I hate these marketing tricks where they try to make things seem bigger and better. .__. like McDonalds where they put those big sandwiches in commercial and when you actually buy it, it's a small little sandwich, same thing here. For a moment I thought it was 2 Terabytes/sec of memory bandwidth, then I realized it's 2 Terabits T_T

  • wow...somebodies a fanboy....*points to the guy that posted several misguided rants....* Seriously though get a fcking life the 6ks have done a great job keeping up, now the new 7ks are just kickin ass you can't deny that just look at any site that benchmarks an your see these card have a huge amount of potential, Nvidia's yet to release there's so the coin's still in the air :P lol.

  • some fanboys has just fear :-D...

  • Wait , what happened? It's finally in FULL HD!

Congrats AMD 240p was so 2004!

  • So it's like GPU with a CPU inside, imagine pairing it up with decent processor.

    Oh and don't forget quadruple/triple crossfire :D

  • 1 dislike is from an nvidia guy!

  • This video made my 95GT cry D:

  • Yeee My card, I love this babys xD

  • A second CPU? OMG

  • Why would they show off AA and AF? How many cards in this century don't already have that?

  • Omg noobs it's a start price....the price will fall when the GTX700 series comes out...

So dont be so pissed :!

  • yields 10 fps more than the GTX 580 3GB, and it costs $ 100 more, this is a true robbery AMD, as well as the FX, which were the fail of 2011. from the series 6000 (amd buy ati since), the vga does not render a shit, not causing nvidia direct competition, as do common processors. Sure, except that it now costs more expensive.

    This sucks

  • @marcosgx2 huh? the 580 gtx 3GB version costs the same as the reference 7970

    This sucks

  • the price is shit.

  • 1 Person has think it's a lie :-D

  • Lol @ Console hardware! The old HD 5870 is more powerful than both 360/PS3. This video shows just how far ahead PC gaming hardware has evolved. Even video cards weaker than the old HD 5870 is more powerful than dated 360/PS3 hardware! Lol!

  • Bring back ATI !!!

  • What good is 2x the transistors if there's barley any more performance.

  • @Xigmatek

Has about 3 x the math compute power of the 6970.

GPGPU is the way forward now, games already look pretty good but a physically simulated world would be more fun IMO.

Nothing quite like smashing stuff up without getting into trouble! :D

  • HD7970 + console port = something is wrong.

  • nice AMD FTW

  • Comment removed

  • I will settle with NVIDIA GEFORCE series.

Thanks you AMD, but no thanks.

  • @1133446677 it already beaten Nividia

  • @Drealmers

For the moment yes, but lets wait for the GEFORCE 600 series to come out, and I believe it will be far more superior than RADEON.

  • @1133446677 Actually, the 700 series is coming out at the same time. The 600 series is the mobile version. Kind of strange, actually.

I raelly wish Nvidia opted for HPL Silicon, though. Then the Radeon HD 7970 and GTX 780 would have come out at around the same time. It would also have other benefits, of course.

  • common amd ...beat intel........n nvidia.

  • @MSVHYBRIDZ AMD dropped the ball on CPUs like 6 years ago >.>

  • It's safe to assume all dislikes are from NVIDIA fanboys.

    This shit's just raw AWESOME.

  • @prabhatj12 one and counting ;D damn this AMD products are sexy..

  • @prabhatj12 I see one dislike. ONE.

Also, I may be a Fanboy, but it wasn't me. In fact, I would actually use both Nvidia and ATI in the same system if I had the capability to do so. And before you ask, I know about Hydralogix.

  • Rape.

  • Sounds like theyre starting to imitate Nvidia Tesla C2070 but just with a bit better graphics.

  • hkepc.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1734949&extra=page%3D1

  • yeah...i bought two and running 3dmark11 with P18404

  • GCN: GameCube Nintendo

  • @teac77 lol true!

  • @teac77

Lol yeah, I was thinking that too xD

  • @teac77 i think the GameCube Nintendo is more powerful than this heheheh lolzz

  • @ECGOLDRP

    Nah, brah. Intel 4004.

  • @Edge0fPain thats too much to compare with this Edge, heheheh.

  • @ECGOLDRP

    Yeah I suppose that's a bit unfair :p

  • @Edge0fPain yea but imagine this rig Edge, intel 4004, 4KB RAM and 2MB of video card from Silicon Graphics, damn i could run battlefield 3 and crysis 2 at max setting in 8 screens at the same time, as you said Edge is little unfair to compare.

  • @ECGOLDRP

    yeah. :D

  • Nvidia disliked this

  • 28 Nanometer boner

  • Mounnzter

  • Now lets focus on the Desktop market k?

  • Anyone else get a boner watching this?

  • i just got a boner :O!

  • love how the gpu commercials are much better than the country commercials.

  • What's the point? Console ports that we have today don't need munch power...

I can live without few games that actually uses all the features of modern GPUs.

  • @TankT9 sigh.. its not all about games. Though if you want to max out games with graphics mods 3d and eyefinity to keep the fps up, you will need something like this.

  • thumbs up if you think that next xbox 460 or whatever they will call it, will use this card or something similar to hd 7970. note: new consoles will be show at e3 2012.

  • @12345samaniegos Not even close, I've heard they going weak on the gpu this generation.

  • @Tary88 nah you craizy, the cpu will be powerfull will use this card next-gen consoles, is the more closest, is cheaper, is faster, is powerfull is the perfect gpu for the next gen consoles.

  • @12345samaniegos nah they definitely wont be using this

  • Umm, why complain about price. The vanilla reference-design, stock clocked AMD branded 7970 (worst 7970) consistently beats the EVGA hydrocopper 2 (watercooled), 3gb (double standard ram) gtx 580 (best gtx 580) by a large margin when the base 7970 is going for $550 and the hydrocopper 2 is going for $730... and the cheapest 580's are $500... also remember this thing uses much less power and runs much cooler than the 580 and suppurts dx 11.1 and pcie 3.0

  • @psychoclown420 PCI 3.0 has no difference from 2.0. There are already bench tests proving this. TTL did a review on that already.

  • @GT5Enthusiast That doesn't change my other points. Also it can't hurt to try and future proof it somewhat. Maybe future cpu's/platforms will see more of a benefit from the technology. Also i know, i'm subbed to TTL, he's a bamf

  • quote = HardOCP "Our jaw dropped when we experienced 80% better performance in Deus Ex: Human Revolution compared to the MDT GTX 580. "

  • woohooo the 7970 is rocking nvidia's world.

OVerlocks like a banshee and is about as fast as 580gtx SLI at about half the price - and less than half the power consumption.

I am laughing my butt off at the nvidiots who are still in denial.

  • well, i think ill stick with working upto a SLI 570 configuration, because that thing has 1 fan... mine has 3, amd is known for overheating, and there is boarderline no customer support, lastly, its expensive, im much happier with SLI on a couple 570s with a 6 fan total, not 2... looks cool tho...

  • @FaceSTAB411 My reference HD 6970 doesn't go over 75°C.

  • @FaceSTAB411 So the 480 ran freezing then lol . Ati and nvidia has there ups and downs . But i do agree the last patch of amd cards ran hot and loud . I still us my 3 5850's wich were the best cards amd made until amd or nvidia come out with a high performance budget card .

  • @cisco760ca before the build i have now (with a single 570 atm) i had a 5650, it ran at 60C idle, and 80+ on load... i was very worried about it damaging my pc, so i went to the customer service to discover they had none.

  • @FaceSTAB411 I installed aftermarket zalman coolers on mine . Now they run in the 35c to 40c on idle , Also there overclocked . I would suggest aftermarket coolers . Coolers that come with the cpu and gpu are always worthless .

  • @cisco760ca ill keep that in mind, thanks matey.

  • Benchmarks are in... its kinda lagging behind the GTX580 and the HD6990 4GB.. waiting for the drivers to mature.. then maybe i might get one

  • @Arkmenra1880 Wonder what type of benchmarks you are reading lol

  • @Arkmenra1880 lagging behind? lol.. the 580 gets SMOKED. 580 in sli is having a hard time beating it.

  • well anisotopic filtering and antialiasing are old as max payne game

  • good

  • Terminator 2 there is a deleted scene while “Miles Dyson” Explains the Terminator CPU and has a prototype in his house. Its looks exactly like it in 1:29

  • @stevenlong1985

Yeah the GPU block....Damn that movie was old..and they had an idea of an uber modern diagram that is now in 2012 era O_o freaky shit maaan xD

  • I used to be an AMD fanboi but then I took 'N arrow to the knee

  • Great amd!!

  • HD 5770 \m/

  • send me a card and we will see lol

lets keep amd on the map!

  • I just got an erection.

  • @MyWonderApple well my erection is smaller than yours....wait that "came" out wrong

  • @Omellykim I see what you did there xD

  • Thank you AMD. The gods of overclock are very pleased with this one...

  • meh

  • The voice of this dude is awesome.

  • Nice upgrade from my GTX295 !!

    *see price*

    nvm fuck this shit XD

  • Definitely going to wait for the prices to come down.

  • @toutagamon More benchmarks for you now, toutagamon :P

  • Finally AMD comes out with a commercial that not only appeals to use techies that are good at interpreting numbers but shows real world performance (The AA examples). Well done. :D
