  • throw the crying bum out!

  • thank god shes out

  • Worst House speaker ever.

WSJ calls his budget cuts BS.

    Fire him!

  • Although I am about as liberal as you could get, my hat is off to Speaker Boehner for coming out in front of God and everyone and saying that President Obama is a US citizen and that he is a Christian. It truly gives me a little hope in the Republican party. Kudos Mr. Boehner.

  • I am SO glad that bat Pelosi is out now!!!

  • No matter what party you belong to, the story of John Boehner is a perfect example why America is a great country. From very humbled beginning to now, where he holds one of the most powerful position in American politics.

While in college he worked as a janitor to pay for school and lived with 12 siblings in a 2 bedroom house. Amazing how far he came to succeed.

  • @md991free

It's not amazing. It shows how successful you can be in America, if you sell out to corporations, advertisement, and special interests groups. It's in our academics, our religion, and our politics. People who play the system to obtain political power and wealth like Boehner (and other politicians, both Dems & Reps), are the problem.

The American dream is irresponsible, selfish, and downright destructive. If we are going to survive, we're going to have to learn to start sacrificing.

  • @JurisArcane Do not mix America great opportunities with politics. Obama, John Boehner, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs, Jay-Z and many others are example of success made in America.

We are far from perfect, but one of the reason why America has been so successful is because it gives entrepreneurs the tools to succeed here and this is why we have YouTube, Facebook, Google, twitter and so many other great businesses.

  • @md991free

Great American opportunities? Those individuals you mentioned are in the upper 2% of America's population (which is bankrupt I might add). Furthermore, they are, they are in the upper .002% of the planet's population, who control 99% of the wealth, while the other 99.998% starve and struggle. If you want to continue to claim that capitalism works go ahead. But, we bailout those billionaires and we let everyone else fail. Thats not success. It's bullshit. Do you understand? Bullshit.

  • @JurisArcane You are totally missing my points. 30 years ago, none of these people I mentioned were part of the 2% top earners and most were poor or struggling financially. That's until they started using their skills, their imaginations and their educations to become successful.

Only in America can you do that. If you know a country that gives his citizen greater opportunities please give me a list or an example.

  • @md991free

No you are totally missing my point. The reason America is the only country like that, is because we keep the rest of the world under our feet. We have a military that crushes opposition. We exploit cheap labor in foreign countries. We sap the planet's natural resources at 60 times the rate of the next rank consumer-based infrastructure.

There is hardly opportunity for struggling countries. Hard work won't get them anywhere. That means the deck is stacked in our favor. cntd*

  • @md991free

That being said. America is a great country, and there is no other place I'd rather be. But we've got to face facts. Just because we SAY it's the greatest, doesn't mean it's the greatest. We're falling behind in education, research and technology. Economically we're just about destroyed. In healthcare, we only give our best treatment to the rich. Militarily, we are going to be surpassed, very soon.

Saying we're the greatest, and BEING the greatest are two different things.

  • @JurisArcane ***Continue*** Our higher education system is the best in the world, but we need to do a better job in the primary levels. In particular, at public middle & High schools. We are not doing a good job with math and science and other countries children have long ago passed us in these field of studies.

  • @md991free

Well, the education we receive in higher academics is competitive. The problem, is getting in, and getting in to a legit place. Today there are degree mills churning out worthless degrees to students who are getting screwed out of anywhere between $30k-$75k per undergrad, and chewing away at their Stafford, to be in debt for the rest of their lives, with no more job potential then they went in with. Master's and Doctorate level work is even more ridiculous. *cntd*

  • @md991free

    *cntd*

Academics are corporatized just like everything else. The admissions process for most of the better/legitimate universities, is built off of the same statistics data as is marketing. They want the students who are most likely to do well academically. That's all find and dandy, but in a country where education has not been our priority for decades, colleges end up leaving out a vast majority of the population, and this doesn't help us at all. Speaking from experience. *cntd*

  • @JurisArcane The government is cracking down in these non-accredited institutions and bodies of accreditation not recognized by the US department of Education.

Did you attend one of these school by mistake?

  • @md991free

For an associates I did. For my undergrad I got a little smarter lol. Still a challenge though. I'm the first in my family to go to college, and it has been VERY difficult just preparing myself to enter the academic setting.

  • @JurisArcane Congratulation on being the first one of your family to attend college, is a great thing an you should be very proud of yourself and I am sure your family is very proud.

Are you currently looking for a job? did you study psychology?

  • @md991free

Thanks. As for family, you'd be surprised how much they can hate the one that went off and did what they couldn't do lol. Yes, I've studied Psychology, Business, and Law (both personally and academically). Right now I'm actually trying to figure out the best phase for doctorate level work, based upon my chances of employment and the proper institution that won't make me spend another 2-3 years doing more unfunded undergrad pre-requisit work just to meet their requirements.

  • @JurisArcane Take your time and select a school that fits with your future and your academic goals. Never settle and do your research on the institution first before joining.

    Best of luck

  • @md991free

Yessir, that's sound advice. I appreciate it. Always amazes me, the direction a conversation can take lol. It's been a pleasure speaking with you.

    And best of luck likewise.

  • @JurisArcane It was a pleasure to have had a civil chat conversation with you too. We can always learn from other people if we try. Best___

  • *cntd

Then there's the work. Take me for instance. I'd love a Ivy League degree in Psychology. But Harvard (for example), only wants students who are interested in academia and research, and openly discourage those who want to be clinical psychologists, from applying. Research is important. But 1 good Ph.D can train literally thousands of Psy.Ds. We need more researchers in our communities, about as much as we need more lawyers in D.C.

8-10 years of class, $300k in debt, then no employment?

  • *Cntd

So, I wish I could agree with it actually being the greatest in the world, but it's not. Our sciences are blocked by religion. Our humanities are so boxed off, if we try to get our information from anyone besides MSNBC or FOX news, we get called a terrorist. Have you ever noticed that there aren't really any foreign correspondence courses available in the U.S.? Some of them are great edu. at a fraction of the price, but you won't find them.

We won't hesitate to outsource labor though :)

  • @md991free

And btw, you can't become without utilizing the corporate system. You can't utilize politics without utilizing the corporate system. Don't mix opportunities with politics? If your definition of "opportunity" includes success through wealth and power, you are fucking stupid, if you you think opportunity and politics are inseparable.

Don't make me educate you, friend.

  • @JurisArcane Envy is for the weak and success is for the strong. In America, through hard work, determination and education one can achieve great success.

While others might settle for a normal decent jobs.

However, I do agree with you that they are holes in the system and bad things do happen to good people. Compare to other countries America is a paradise. I urge you to visit Haiti, Nicaragua or perhaps Iran to see the differences and you'll then realize how lucky you are.

  • @md991free

BTW, good debate, I'm happy to keep going as long as you are. Not often you can have a civilized discussion on here lol.

AND, I may have to disagree with your "Envy is for the weak and success is for the strong". It has that noble tone that fuels the illusion of capitalism. The fact is, today, by and large, success is for the assholes that screw everyone over and destroy our ability to coexist and survive. If more people lived in the real world instead of TV, Oprah wouldn't exist.

  • Tell boner cry baby to shove that gavel and give him something realy to weep about!

  • It looks like obamas reign of terror is over with this guy theres nothing to worry about

  • As John Boehner correctly points out, most of failed and failing policies have been with the current Administration and the Democrat-majority Congress beginning in 2006. Hopefully, we will not be going back to those policies and socialism will be pushed back to hell where it belongs.

  • Wait why is it that Rangel not in prison!!!!!

  • @jomieorbino Same reason why Dick Cheney is not in jail after shooting his friend in the face in plain day light.: Money and power my friend.

  • Holly Shit, Boehner didn't cry. Shocking.

  • all i am gonna say is John Boehner is selfish.. Trust me the republicans are not gonna fix this mess....

  • They all play for the same team and it's not for this country.

  • Too bad the didnt crack that traitorous, burka wearing bitches skull open with that damn gavel.

  • let the nightmare begin

  • modern republicans are a disgrace compared to what they used to stand for in the 1800's

  • WELCOME TO THE PEOPLE'S CONGRESS! BYE BYE PELOSI YOU CRIMINAL!

  • @rickbar123 My TEA bags are big and full PUSSY! Come get a cup softy.....

  • @MrLibTrasher please. be more naive. really. be more naive.

  • @MrLibTrasher

"Yeah, bye bye Pelosi, and welcome, leaders who have a constituency too fucking stupid to know what their own interests are. I've never heard so many poor people scream for rich people to get tax cuts. My god, the cool-aid is working! Give them more! Welcome Boehner! God Bless the USA! Woooo! Next up, let's cut social security and legalize weaponized anthrax (since we have to protect ourselves!) WoooooHOoooo! America! Wooohoooo!"

    Fucking moron.

  • @MrLibTrasher Why is she a criminal? give me specifics/Facts please.

  • @MrLibTrasher Goodbye too the most productive congress in history and hello to government shut downs, phony investigations, de funding of social programs, infrastructure and education. All led by an orange idiot and his incompetent gain of corporate backed liars.

  • @RichardE8ST You mean goodbye to the WORST congress EVER! Pelosi should be arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned for life for her crimes against humanity and America! Thank God Speaker Boehner has booted that Marxist bitch out!

  • Bush rats and baggers elected an incompetent corupt mass murdering torturing lying traitor who nearly bankrupted the world economy through deregulation and incompetent mismanagement. Then he tried to cash out the SS trust fund to keep his scam alive until he left office. Thankfully he failed as he did in every endeavor he provoked except enriching himself and his friends of coarse. So what are baggers bitching about? HC insurance reform, Wall St reform investment in infrastructure and education

  • @RichardE8ST Mass murder? What the hell are you talking about? Hey, listen man, seriously....BUSH HASN'T BEEN THE PRESIDENT IN YEARS NOW! Snap out of it already! All of the ills affecting America right now are OBAMA'S fault! And YES, WE CAN....REPEAL OBOINGO-CARE in '12 when we take the Senate AND the White House. And you can kiss the global warming fraud goodbye as well! TEA PARTY REVOLUTION AT HAND!

  • @MrLibTrasher It really doesn't matter who is in the White or who controls Congress, bush/cheney will be mass murderers until the end of time. You can rant all you want about Pelosi and every other Democrat, but don't mix facts with opinion. The tea party revolution has about as much hope as you flying to Mars this year. Get off Faux News and start reading up on some facts. And any GOP'er who votes against health reform is voting against their own self interest. Read the bill. Don't be lazy!

  • @phillipmarch22 Thanks for your advice man, but I'll be voting against the obamacare nightmare until it's gone. "Read the bill?" You may want to advise your party to do that next time. Reconciliation for such sweeping legislation is a travesty! 70% of America want's it gone.

  • You got the facts wrong. Out of the 70% that are against this HC reform, a majority of them don't think the bill goes far enough. I did read the bill, every word of it. I got an open mind, and watch C-Span all the time. Have yet to see a GOP alternative to the cluster fuck we have now in our health care system. If anyone out there thinks that they like their PHI, hasn't been really sick yet, not to mention that we pay for those who don't. So, first get your facts straight and then lets talk!

  • @MrLibTrasher - Boehner is proving to be nothing but a fraud. At least Pelosi had the balls to get her caucus is line. Boehner is a liar and a fraud.

  • @DeweyBrockman Pelosi is a laughingstock.

  • Ah... Gibbs gone, Boehner sworn in on the same day.

It's a good day in DC!
