The reason Korean artists and groups nowadays are really polished is because of the entertainment companies. SM, YG, and JYP are the 3 biggest entertainment companies in Korea. To become one of their artists, you must pass an extremely selective audition process and go through rigorous training in areas like singing, dance, and acting, usually for 2-5 years. They put a ton of resources into their artists, and promote them very well.
