  • What was Graham on, amphetamines?!? You can't even understand his lines, he's saying them so fast.

  • The 'abuse department' is your typical youtube argument ...lol

  • Nice place for a buzzer.

  • 13 people are vacuous toffee-nosed malodorous perverts! And they can't take up a contrary position!

  • I'm 36 and im too young to remember any time when anyone gave a fuck about Hollywood Bowl.

  • I'd have loved to know what was just getting started in the last very seconds!

  • @maaskeimorgen= It's Neil Innes, singing How sweet to be an idiot.

  • What the fuck does John Cleese do at 3:56?

  • @TheAtkinsoj Looks like someone took a photo and they freaked out ha! Id like to see the full verision!

  • @Calvakins No you wouldn't...hahahahaha

  • Hmm.. It is.

  • I love how the audience cheers when he says "I'd like to have an argument." They immediately know what sketch this is.

  • @MysterySTForever= Wait until the Dead parrot sketch shows up.

  • 13 people went into the abuse room

  • I think it's impossible to say which version is better, this or the Flying Circus one. The studio version had the benefit of multiple camera angles, with the possibility of close-ups, but on stage, their performances had to be more scenic, therefore we get some fantastic acting from John and Mickey! Graham delivered his lines much too quickly and not even half as good as in FC, but his charming smile and that little hand movement as he says "Oh I'm sorry, but this is abuse" is perfect!

  • They are rock stars!

  • Palin was right, I timed it. It was only about a minute! XD

  • An argument clinic...is this a bit like a prostitute for internet trolls?

  • @Bestmanme08 If you think Benny Hill is better than Monty Python, go watch some Benny Hill and stop spamming Monty Python videos with your nonsense.

  • "I could be arguing my freetime!"

  • hahahaha, - Thank you good morning! :D best ever, hollywood bowl is the absolutley best imo, so many great sketches. MP will never die!

  • This and silly walks is two of their greatest skits.

"yes I did, no you didn't" "yes it is, no it isn't...Your 5 minutes is up!!!"

  • "oh sorry but this is abuse"

    "oh, I see" :-)

  • I wonder how hard Graham had to try not to laugh when Palin & Cleese are going. it's just too perfect, too great. (:

  • if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position!

  • Yeah, which really shows what Americans know about British comedy.

  • Paying for an argument, or for abuse... Monty Python must have seen the internet coming...

  • No they didn't you snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings!

  • nowhere as good as the original

  • Yes it is!

  • no it isnt

  • you forgot the part at the end with terry gilliam

  • Timeless :)

  • I told you once.

  • No you haven't!

  • No you didn't

  • Yes I did

  • I wonder whats running through Grahams mind when John and Mike are having the agument

  • Can i download this video for my phone somehow?

    Hilarious :D

  • Micheal cracks up at 3:30....rofl

  • He seems to do that a bit more than the others in the live shows...and it's pretty damn adorable XD

  • "An argument is a connective series of statements intended to establish a proposition!"

  • No it isn't.

  • "Yes it is! It isn't just contradiction."

  • Can be

  • I loooove Michael Palin!! :)

  • i could be arguing in my spare time... i bet he does!

  • Haha, awesome seeing all those people in the audience wearing Gumby hats.

  • no it isnt

  • Yes it is.

  • No it isn't!

  • oh, this is abuse.

  • *ding* "Thank you, good morning!"

  • "I could be arguing on my spare time" LMAO

  • XD the ending expressions are hilarious...love these guys...wish I was alive in their heyday...

  • ...this is so incredibly funny...

  • lol

  • Hmmm...I Liked The Original Better.

  • Graham Chapman is Brilliant in this!!!

  • Hey...how cool! I was actually at this concert...in High School. I snuck down next to the stage, got a great shot of them all smiling at me. Man...its been a while. :)

  • Michael sounds awfully nasal in thi one... I love the Pythons!

  • It's great how Michael laughed near the end of this sketch.

  • Cleese's voice changed a bit after his tenure on Flying Circus. It seems rougher than it originally did. Probably because of all the shouting he had to do.

  • I loooooove this sketch....

(Too bad they cut off the ending).

  • Why, oh why, have you cut out the ending?

  • gods of comedy they are!

  • gods of comedy ye!ye!

This is basically the same dialogue as original sketch but here they interpret it with much added brightness

  • i love watching nonsense!!!

  • this is NOT nonsense

  • i meant nonsense in british poomish, great way!!!!

  • Hahaha it is sooo great.

I love it at 3:35. And the way they totally freak afterwards...

    Great sketch :)

  • I honestly like this better than the original skit from the Flying Circus show.

  • lol! i love it when they go back and forth like that. and then at the end..john face. =D LOL!

  • he didn't LOL

  • Hey Folks, is there anyone out there that knows where you can get the albatros sketch from live at the hollywood bowl. i searched youtube but can't find it

  • At the beginning they go in and out of enjoying their enjoying doing it. They get in character as they proceed.

  • I love mustachioed John Cleese, Palin is so damn cute! :)

    :D~

  • no he's not!

  • you just contradicted me!

    :D~

  • No he didn't!

  • oh wait, is this just five minutes or the full half-hour?

    :D~

  • It's too bad this version doesn't contain Terry Gilliam singing "I've Got Two Legs" immediately afterwards. That's why Michael and John jump up like that.

  • This is actually better than the original TV sketch.

  • Their rhythm is snappier; they use silence very well.

I have learned a lot about public speaking from listening to their work.

  • they are arguing about arguing

  • no they aren't -)

  • "Live At The Hollywood Bowl" is the greatest! I would KILL for a tape of this!

  • no you wouldn't :)

  • well i just paid!!.......... NO YOU DIDNT!!!!!!

  • no you didnt!

  • Palin is such a fantasic character actor..and john cleese is just plain silly..and i love it!!...also on 3:29 Palin almost loses he plot and laughs but saves himself. :) I told you once! Long Live Python!

  • oh this is futile! ......no it isnt! 3:57 - 3:58 -pause and you will se john cleese pulling the most hilarious faces ive ever seen him pull!

  • The original one is a lot better.

  • No, it is not.

  • Yes, it is.

  • No, it is.

  • f-u-c-k-i-n-g b-r-i-l-l-i-a-n-t!!!!!!! (no it isn't)

  • i love cleese's spak attack right at the end of the video. i dont know why he does that but whatever the reason it had me in stitches! classic sketch!

  • It is because, at the end of that skit, Terry Gilliam comes dressed in a very odd costume, (literally) flying throught the air, singing "I've Got Two Legs." Silly, isn't it?

  • that is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. i wish there was more stuff on TV like that. now days, humor seems so cheap . . . this is an a great example of good clean fun, which takes talent to do successfully. :)

  • Didn't u know what Pink Floyd did in their pauses while recording Dark Side of the Moon? Watching Monty Phython on TV!

  • no, he didnt!

  • yes, he did!

  • :3

Michael is SO sweet when he laughs.

  • no he isnt! lol

  • 3.30 he laughs

  • No he doesn't

  • aah yeah i didnt notice that! funny!

  • u cut out the best part! terry gilliam coming in singing 'I've Got Two Legs"

  • Chapman's background acting was brilliant.

  • Monty Python never gets old; it suprises me that Graham didn't just fall out of his chair laughing when he heard them

  • I can't believe they manage to keep their faces straight... Almost at least :D

  • The funniest stuff ever! Thanks for everything Pythons!

  • haha! does anyone notice michael laugh when he says "look i dont wnt to argue about this!" near the end lol i love him xxx

  • Yea cleese was better in this 1, Graham was about the same if not beter

  • Bloody jeering Americans, he can't get a line out without you screaming away. Shut up.

  • You would be screaming away if your upper lip wasn't so stiff.

  • I think it's absolutely wonderful! The acting is better than the original, and I think Cleese is better in this one.

  • they act like they rehersed alot more than in the original... its more cartoonish and its a complete copy otherwise, so its ruined

  • Great thing. Original is better though, but it is live and some years later, bear with it.

  • THe 3&4 comment is shit ,

    whats wrong with you!
