  • @fennie2578 i don't know dude but now your here and you must work the salt mines and live off the flesh of the dead lol

  • 1:07, I knew that fan death was north Korea's plot to fuck with south Korea again.

  • 还以为这是1950年的影片!!!

  • It's... too immaculate. Nothing's been touched or moved, everything is in perfect order. It's eerie, because it's a tell-tale sign that the store is a front, an illusion. It hides something by it's picture of perfection.

  • 0:40

what's that giant glasses for? lol

  • This the paradise on earth!

Believe me if you die you will find yourself in this kind of heaven :)

  • It has a story of times saying that Kim Jong have often sex with girls aged 9 and 12 years in Korea who are recruited by the head of the secret police for this.

And the families of the girls receive $ 100 in gratitude.

It is said that some mothers of these girls have committed suicide. It should be a sick pedophile. How can someone like him can exist?

  • @lucilacionni That's not true. The ages are between 13-40, and Kim only has sex with 18-25 year olds, who are the most common

  • Does anybody else feel like their in Napoleon Dynamite?

  • @Dslater417 pedro, what do ya think about that one?

  • A BLACK GUY!

Sorry it was just shocking to see one in NK. LOL.

  • @C1TeamMidNight He's actually an African guerilla fighter looking to purchase some weapons for an upcoming socialist revolution

  • @C1TeamMidNight Notice how the guy leaned across the table to silently ask to buy something. Then the camera cut away just before he got what he wanted.

  • 1989?! Sure this was not shot yesterday?

Lol, oh I feel kinda bad...

  • 0:34 Two party official's: Stand there and smile!

    Clerk: OK!

  • wow black people in North Korea!

  • @necmusicvideos totally... WTF...

  • @necmusicvideos its black actor in NK.

everything is fake in the shot and NK

    ;P

  • @necmusicvideos Maybe they're from Angola or Cuba. If you live in a Communist country, you can only visit communist countries.

  • North Korea is still like that now!

  • Made In China All ?

  • 0:24 they have a lots of models for glasses.....

  • When the woman say the black guy she probably thought. What are you????

  • Wow, those North Korean stores realy have everything a person could need. A razor, a toothbrush , a comb, razor, a toothbrush , a comb razor, a toothbrush , a comb, razor, a toothbrush , a comb, razor, a toothbrush , a comb, razor, a toothbrush , a comb razor, a toothbrush , a comb, razor, a toothbrush , a comb, razor, a toothbrush , a comb, razor, a toothbrush , a comb.

    Yep, just about everything !

  • NIGGAZ!!!

  • I can only imagine that the black gentlemen must have blown their washable minds away. They probably thought he was a burn victim.

  • @kinenai LOL!!! that's hilarious. Whose this guy?! The great leader never told us about this!

  • What's the point of Department Stores when virtually nobody in North Korea has any money to buy goods to begin with? Dumbass DPRK!

  • @cbohar84 The point is that the few tourists that do show up film and take pictures and buy a souvenir, with Dollars. It is an attempt to make the place look prosperous and normal. Just like the huge gymnastic stadium shows and performing arts schools where child orchestras play for the occasional visiting tourist and nobody else. Same as the huge empty hotels in Pyongyang. What outsiders see is nothing more than a gigantic smokescreen. N Korea is a very strange country.

  • Complete with your very own black guy!!!

  • :51 BAMBI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how intresting .... Korea became intresting to me a few weeks ago, im not sure why?

  • @DaliTheCrayon

Because we experience the same dam thing everyday. rocknroll, rap, jazz classical music. dull times in everyday life to see how life is diffferent in some other country. Thats why I like to feel alienated/cultureshock.

It wakes you up that there is more than just one way to live life.

  • Africans in N. Korea?!! I'm almost more shocked by that then they are a normal economy!

  • Kim Jong will eat his caviar regardless of the economy.

  • i knew it lebron james was not in his 20's.thats him in 1:27..thats why he looks like a 50 year old gorilla..

  • i want those kim's glasses...

  • Where did North Korea get all those black people?

  • @illmetaphysics maybe in the zoo!!!

  • @chicoscisuckscushe OOOOOOOOH!! BAHAHAHA

  • Liar poor guys.

  • Better times in North Korea, when economy was still running...

  • nkt123abc: about persecution, are you? Really, the subject that allegedly keeps you tossing and turning at night is simply inequality? True?

  • And who is responsible for their alleged persecution, anyway, other than people?

So what's your point? Could it simply be that you, too, blow much raw persecution

out of your ass for dining pleasure? By the way, these persecuted souls people still fuck much, don't they, spend plenty of time fussing over their appearance, and enjoy plenty of family life and considerable freedom of movement away from

forced confinement, don't they? Just to be clear: you're not really talking . . . cont'd

  • looks like the 50s.

  • @parsizaban Its Pleasantville all over again. Damn you Tobey Maguire!!!!

  • everyone here needs to understand that North Korea isn't a communist state, it's 100% totalitarianism. Everything within the borders is controlled by one man and one man alone.

  • @wille35 Coincidentally, every communist state on Earth is totalitarian :)

  • It's a sham. It's chinese made items they bought and put up in a building to mimic the capitalist type system for propaganda purposes. No N. Korean could ever afford such a purchase. I bet they're not even allowed to go in.

  • Well at least they make their own stuff and don't buy that chinese garbage. America is being destroyed by chinese goods, low quality crap.

  • horrible horrible horribly.. grievly sad.....

  • This will have been filled up with goods purely as a show for the rare influx of foreign visitors for the Youth Festival.

I would bet my mortgage a week afterwards the shelves were 90% bare.

  • oh here's an idea, if you all don't like north Korea, just be sure not to go there. durrrr idiots.

  • i'm so confused.. what...theey don't even have an economy.. how is his possible...

  • id rather eat a cheeseburger without cheese before i shop here!!!

  • is like looking at a 1930's 1940's old movie clip.

  • mann its like watching surrogates.

  • kim jong il buys his fans there to get rid of all his farts

  • It's normal.Look at the movie title:"During the festival" and you see the answer.Do you think that the store is full of goods all the time? No,they do it because they want to show you happy life in communist system. This is a show only.Only for your eyes. After festival shelves were empty.

  • 0:40 Kim's glasses

  • made in china

  • You know everything in that store is made in China.

And given that the Chinese only deal in cash, I wonder how the North Koreans paid for it.

Maybe the Chinese own the store?

  • They have an excellent selection of stuffed fowl.

  • What were those negroes doing there??

  • @azurescens420 lol

  • In USSR we also had a stores, where you could buy all sorts, for Hard currency, not rubels. They were not meant for regular people - only those who got the cash. Realistically, unless you are a ship crew or prostitute - you wouldn't have the dollars etc. ( I was a child , so you have to ask older people how it works exactly). This is what it looks like - as you can see no Koreans in the shop. I f someone mentioned it , sorry - could not read all the comments.

  • before the soviet fell .. god why did they have to fall

  • wonder if they had such supplied stores back in the province or less prestigious towns . priceless footage man

  • @SouthernSky

My guess is probably not. North Korea is known for fabricating stores, restaurants, and other businesses to make it look like they have more freedom, and a stronger economy than they actually have. For example, I hear that in pyongyang, they set up a few Catholic/Christian churches with actors to perform attendance, so that tourists beleive that the nation has religious freedom. Outside of pyongyang, it is probably a whole different story.

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation is that true?

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation but wouldn't fabricating cost them more??

  • @RiseofBane

This is just my guess, but the benefits outweigh the costs. A dictatorship like the one in north korea wants to look good to the rest of the world, thus they have acted freedom (churches, stores, etc). In reality, the regime wants total control, and any access to freedom can compromise the safety of the regime. This is why north korea is willing to put on fake church performances and set up stores beyond the budget reach of the majority of their citizens. It makes them look better.

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation can u give the link where it shows fake church in n.korea? with pics included

  • @RiseofBane Sure thing. Here are some links Link 1; news . bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4431321.stm link 2 religioustolerance . org/rt_nkor.htm I think wikipedia also has some information regarding north korea's staged church activities.
  • Bruthas in NK? Naw dawg, dat's China Town.

  • What the hell is a black guy doing in North Korea?

  • Mind you they still dress like this...

  • LOL @ Black people in north korea

  • Wow! Are those shelves there full of goods? It's not like Poland was before 1989 where stores had empty shelves, so empty you had to wait a whole day in line just to get something like a loaf of bread or some milk. If a store had a delivery of anything like drinking glass or pickles, etc., word of mouth spread and within minutes a long line would form. Here not only there is no line, the shelves look full. Maybe people have no money to buy?

  • @goldenleggsandwood yep no money to buy, is the short answer. This is 1989, and a fake economy, cos the DPRK was hosting an international event. All fake!

  • @shakypam

You could only buy stuff for foreign currency since the NK won is basicly usless because there is nothing to buy for the money.

  • @shakypam GLORIOUS COMMUNISM!!!111

  • @shakypam How you know it was fake? Where you there? Actually I have been in North Korea and I can pretty much tell you they have shopping markeds and department store like this with modern items and North Korean items. Cheap and good quality, heck they even sell PS3 and Sony LCD TV's

  • @SMGJohn How did someone like you even manage to get on the right plane? You can't even spell Were.... or don't know how to use the proper way of using where..

  • @blooalex21 The right plane? Well unlike you I actually read my ticket and what gate I am going too. But I understand that you must be too retarded to actually get inside the airport...

Actually I spelled quit correct it's just you that can't read. So you failed

  • @SMGJohn Lol? you actually think that you used the word "where" right. I'm shocked that you got out of your own house... Wows~

  • @blooalex21 You might want to google you imbecile. That's what I did and apperently 'were' was correct so your wrong again.

Sorry but I go out allot so your wrong again

  • @SMGJohn LOOK AT WHAT YOU WROTE... "Where you there?" Apparently you didn't use were but where. You got to stop thinking that your right all the time and accept the fact that you aren't a perfect human being.

  • @blooalex21 Yes I used 'where' in that sentence. What are you even trying to prove? That you're a fucking imbecile!? Do I even give a shit if I spell correct? NO! I don't, for all I care I don't give a flying fuck about writting errors or spelling errors. Go get a life

  • @SMGJohn you are retarded

  • @Dtchmastrkilla7 Like wise kid, like wise

  • @Dtchmastrkilla7 Are you his bitch? ;] Sorta seems like it~~

  • @blooalex21 and you are also retarded

  • @SMGJohn Yep I was there. And while I don't even believe your comment about PS3s etc, I think people would prefer food...

  • @shakypam North Korea is in a hard situation. Allot of famines has striked the country and crop failures. That's why North Korean people are badly feed, USA ain't making it any better either.

  • @shakypam They sell it just as much as they sell it else where fool. If you seriously think North Korea is a poor 12th century country then you must be 100% American and living in a cave

  • @shakypam SMGJohn has to be an Anti-American South Korean (or its immigrant in US) who got not much but some education in the US judging from his level of English. There are many of North Korean PR morons like him among South Koreans... particularly among financially not so well doing demographics.

  • @SMGJohn yeah obviously they sell ps3s in north korea. funny.

  • @SMGJohn Really? Where do they plug these electronic devices in? Because when you look at North Korea from space at night, there are no lights and no evidence of any electricity being used whatsoever.

  • @SMGJohn And what do they play on PS3? Duke Nukem Forever? Medal of Honor? Or they have their own PS3 games?

  • @shakypam Store full of crap goods, nobody has any money to buy? Sounds just like crony capitalism then

  • @goldenleggsandwood Oh, great, just like todays Germany.

  • @goldenleggsandwood

I read in a highly detailed book "under the loving care of the dear leader" on how this youth festival pretty much bankrupted the country. It was one of the causes of their great starvation and breakdown of food distribution in the 90's... well that and the fact that their "brilliant" leader flooded what little arable land the north has with his great barrage project.

  • @goldenleggsandwood Man i remember those days in poland as a kid back in early 80's when shit really started to hit the fan. the stores were full of stuff you couldn't afford since inflation was so high. the line ups were mostly for food stuffs like meat of any kind or powdered milk plus you had to use ration cards for groceries. the longest lineups that i remember were for toilet paper LOL.

  • @goldenleggsandwood Same happened in Romania before 1989 when the Revolution took place. Empty shelves, only one brand of butter, about two brands of soda. Lines forming since 4 in the morning to get our monthly ratio of sugar, milk and coocking oil. About once every 2-3 months you got to buy real meat. I hated that period.

  • @goldenleggsandwood Dont get carried away. Its probably the only store in town like it. Probably only takes dollars. Probably the only store in town where you can film too. Most likely off limits to locals unless they are of a certain rank and above.

  • @goldenleggsandwood Reminds me of the stories my grandma used to tell me. Powdered baby milk was rarer than than The Nectar Of The Gods in Romania. My grandpa was connected though, so I never lacked for anything. Still, communism sucks. Its aftermath mutilated my country for the next 20 plus years after it fell.

  • @goldenleggsandwood Mayby the department-store closes the minute the tourists have left. Like Moscow in 1975..only there they did not pretend, the store were empty. This is a Potemkin-showcase.....

  • HAhaahhaa two Kinds of sunglasses:D:D:D Omg :D

  • its easy to pick out glasses, brown or black

  • shop looks quite Ok. Where will we still find such communist shops once these will not exist any more ?

  • south korea is no match for classy north korea

  • Buy som ting!!!

  • I still don't get why there is a nigger there. Shouldn't they shoot him .

  • @PullMyPeeper They should send you there punk.

  • did these things actually have price tags on em?

  • do you have stuffed Kim IL-sung there?

  • @aviomaster to the worse

  • My parents went to North Korea and all I got were these tacky glasses and stuffed deer.

  • 00:51 I'M WATCHING

  • NIGGERS IN MY BEST KOREA? IT'S MORE LIKELY THAN YOU THINK...

  • What a viruses these people are. The animal persecution in this video is horrendous.

  • @tonywsmith2 And you have the right to express your opinion unlike our friends in North Korea.

  • wow

  • This is fucking creepy

  • damn thats eerie

  • For better

  • If NK say SK is American puppet, then NK is definitely a Soviet Union & PRC puppet

  • Short live communist. Short live Kim Jung Il. Short live DPRK. Hope Kim Jung Il & his commies will burn hell.

  • @kkteow earht was much less spoiled by the eastern block. The live in eastern block was very good untill the 80ies. But the west had to ruin the eastern block to have control over the whole world. congratulations guys...

  • That's where his godhead, the beloved leader buys his fashionable glasses !!!

  • it's much better now

  • I think I'll sell my laptop, and using the money from that sale alone, buy everything in that shop

  • 1:12 A BLACK NORTH KOREAN?!

    :O:O:O:O:O

  • @gustavth1 nahh, probably from angola, mozambique cuba etc. this is the 80's still at the height of communism ,they had international exchange programs amongst the communist/socialist states.

  • @wtfhellas cheers for helping enlighten people about "why are there niggers" etc. I'm so sick of that question.....!

  • That time, NK was a little bit better compared to today's situation in NK. Kim Jong Il let all this change for worse. Less cars on the streets compared to the times under Kim Il Sung. A little bit more freedom under Kim Il Sung. BUT starving, killing and stuff pitily did not change (for better)...

  • this was then, soviet time now stupid dear leader is dying and going to hell

  • DAMN HONY!

  • Woooowww...

    A department store!!!!!!

  • IF you were buying everything you see, you just saved millions of North Koreans by giving them 1 extra seed of rice.

  • oh no how do these poor people get along with out gang shootings and drug addicts on the street. How do they get by without lady gaga and strip clubs. How do they get by without prostitutes on the corner and drug dealers. omg what to do.

  • @MILLSTREETMED Don't be stupid, when the flow of money that the USSR poured into North Korea suddenly stopped with the collapse of the USSR two and a half years after this was taken, the vast majority of the country was plunged into abject poverty.

  • @MILLSTREETMED they are also STARVING. this is no utopia, they just kill the unwanted and hide the retarded. -not a joke

  • @MILLSTREETMED

Its more like, how do these people get by when most of them cant even obtain a simple bowl of rice and if they complain they will be killed.

  • After the collapse of the Soviet Union changed all

  • Where is your democratic right to get your voice heard in a democratic society? Where do you have the right to really change anything? Who had anything to say about sending troops anywhere? Who out of 300 million Americans had anything to a say in any of the governments decisions since the beginning of democracy?

The only right you have as a citizen is to vote for a chosen candidate and that's where your rights come to an end. The new Zeitgeist movie will be released soon, new ideas are born

  • @MyRazberry truther retard.

  • At least they are self sufficient... and all their factories are producing for the people. Communism is a failed system, but so are all the other systems that we have tried throughout history. Just look at western democracy. What does it really mean to be living in a democratic society apart from the fact that you may choose out of a handful of corporate sponsored candidates who promise the world without having the obligation to fulfill any of them.

  • @MyRazberry Self Sufficient? Who are you kidding? The only reason the entire country hasn't collapsed is China's continued aid to the country. They have NO natural resources! Once China cuts off its aid, which the WikiLeaks diplomatic cables revealed they are going to do (they say they're frustrated with Kim acting like a spoiled child, and consider NK's nuclear program a global risk), they expect the government to collapse in a few years. China says the economy has already collapsed.

  • @Valicore That's a shame because there's no department store that's as lively, colorful, and inviting as the only one in North Korea and when North Korea gets dissolved: the department store will be gone along with its nifty, state-of-the-art merchandise.

  • @Valicore hey buddy, I have the leaked cables downloaded do you know the exact reference code to this information? China to cut financial aid to Korea? This would be wonderful news.

  • Ray Ban's!

  • Idi Amin visits North Korea

  • 100% crap guaranteed

  • The most depressing hellhole on the face of the earth, no doubt about it

  • @Cytacon the rulers are fags, the citizens are actually great

  • @TeamRedz They are all brainwashed for christs sake. Half of them are starving because of perpetual famine and artificial shortages.. Meanwhile the Kims and the generals live like kings.

  • @Cytacon i know they are, its not their fault, if u take out the fact that they are brainwashed, they are actually good people.

  • How come they get to sell freakin deers in the store?

  • wow what a product! no gadgets? hahaha oh north korea when will you move on? hahaha

  • North Korea is exactly like the twilight zone except it's real and not a fictional tv show. Soon enough NK will just be a bad memory... Sooner than you think. ;)

  • @MrRashBone damn well said....just like the twilight zone
