the intro is a little extra but i said it b4 and i'll say it again. the Fans shit on sega/sonic team when it comes to good quality 2d gameplay. this is perfect. for some reason sega doesnt realize that all they need is to use the original engine and they can create a worthy 2d style sonic game like this one and other "fan mades" i've found on youtube over the years.

I know they Combined this with Sonic XG and Something Else but I was thinking take the Sonic CD Gameplay Physics of this, combine it with Sonic 3 and Have Sonic 3 Sprites with the Peelout Animation with Instashield and Homing Attack, Powerups, Have some levels and a few other powerups from Emerald ties, Make Sonic Get hurt from running into walls (make him bounce back as like getting hurt but without ring or shield loss) keep the spinning motion when jumpin off springboards, have the boss music

Keep the Super Shoes Music from this Game. Have the SuperSonic/Solar Sonic Theme from Sonic ZX (16bit version of Megaman 8 Stage Select Music)

Good, although I think I prefer Sonic XG's direction. Sonic Fan remix is a little too overt.

The begining is good......although the music is more of a Sonic Boom feel to it, rather than a You Can Do Anything/Toot toot Sonic Warrior.

@DDRUTOU It is not emulated. The game is made from scratch on PC. Not sure that the mp3 music was released, but you could download the game and use a sound recorder. To download the demo, Google "sonic nexus" and the first result has a download link..

I wouldn't call it sonic CD 2. It looks like Sonic CD but the level design is more similar to sonic 2/sonic 3. Sonic cd wasn't a bad game at all but the level design was a rather confusing and there was a lot of unnecessary stuff thrown in.

Anyways this is the best sonic fan game I have seen thus far. Are there any similar in quality that have already been released?

Only problems i have are the opening, personally i think its nice, but nothing can compare to sonic CD's opening. @Sacredfire059 I agree, a few of the sprites (the peelout) are the same as in Sonic CD, but yet it still has is differences that make it look interesting and as a possible sequel to Sonic CD. One of the differences is the terrain and texture of the background, it just screams it to me.

Stop dreaming of a Sonic comeback, because it won't happen. Sega/Sonic Team is just too thickheaded and stupid to realize that Werehogs, Swords, and this extra shit aren't what people want from a Sonic game.

The next game will have Sonic doing even more un-Sonic things. You can yell and scream for a 2D Sonic game until you're blue in the face, but it's not happening. Sega has more than made that apparent.

I have an idea for sega. Why not take Sonic and put him back in a 2d environment where the screen scrolls. But have the graphics of 3d ( Like Sonic Unleashed ) And make a full game with that AND ONLY that. No Catches, No Gimmicks, No Added Characters. Just Sonic the Hedgehog ( and maybe tails) By himself. My fav part of Sonic Unleashed was when he went into 2d. I would love to see a full game like that and so would a lot of other people. Please give me feedback on the idea. Thanks YT.

You need the wired X360 controller. Just plug it into your usb port, and that's it. It should work after that, but I'm having problems getting the d-pad to work. My emus only recognize the analog stick...
