  • Can anyone tell me how to make to the computer boot the Mac cd when I boot from cd it does not boot ?.thanks

  • At 2.59 he wets his trousers with excitement

  • On Acer Desktops ys got to remove the front panel to remove or install ROM drives...It's a bitch because Acer hot glues the panel to the case! Acer, good cases but shitty motherboards and power supplies! Hard drives in most cases are Hitachi so I can't complain all that much!

  • Sad thing is almost 4/4 kids their age don't know shit about pcs like they do. Sure they don't know to buy modular hardware but meh they are kids.. GJ on it working.

  • HA STOCK HEATSINK AND FANS. Get a Cooler master heatsink tower.. Keeps your pc at like 20oC

  • what motherboard are you using? how many processors cuz when i built one it melted the motherboard.

  • nice cable managment!

  • haha cool i love doing stuff like this XD

  • i need it slow

  • I know you two kids

  • @FullTechReviewz101 Oh really? Haha, and who are we?

  • nice job... Whose your assisstant???? why is the video so fast? and How big is the harddrvie?

  • bleh ddr2 mb ... a little old dontcha think? for 2010 .__.

  • 6:44 iphone's more important!

  • @R0ckR2 Not an iphone... it looks like an android samsung... fail

  • How long that you take to do this.

  • why u wear gloves

  • @theawesomeness9911

They reduce the chance of sending a static charge to a sensitive piece of hardware like the RAM, thus killing it.

Additionally, it keeps fingerprints down ^_^

Finally, it makes you look like you're performing surgery lol

  • ha ha

  • O.o

  • What if you cant get your video card to work? I have my native resolution but qe/ci isnt working its a gma 4500m please help

  • Green WD..?! Are you crazy?! This will drown the performance of the pc!

  • @batezippi Why do you say that?

  • Comment removed

  • @hackintosh101 dude! there saving energy by slowing performance. those green craps are shit! get a black or at least a blue caviar!

  • @hackintosh101

Batezippi is right. Your hard drive is a Key player in how fast things will load obviously. You'd be surprised what kind of difference a good drive would make. If you really want speed, get a Solid State. Yes, they're a lot more expensive, but the performance difference is amazing. I've installed a SSD into an old 1.3Ghz Intel Single core with 256MB of RAM, and it would load stuff faster than a 3.2Ghz Intel Quad Core with 6GB of RAM on a 7200rpm WD Black HDD!

  • @hackintosh101 i think he ment that it has low rpm,

  • @batezippi if you get the right caviar green it will run normal well the 10000rpm ones that is

  • Is that a MicroATX Case?

  • @ipadlover1234 Nope, ATX Mid Tower

  • @hackintosh101 I just realized I bought the same one

  • !!!!! love how you got ur iphone out randomly in middle lol !!!!

  • wow its like 1 hell of an mac jungle inside that case with wires

  • Wow even fast forwarded you guys are slow at building that pc...I guess you new to building rigs.

  • can you use magic mouse and Mac keyboard?

  • @hackintosh101 well what are your needs :P I mean like does it run like a mac that I bought at the apple store would run? I'm debating if I'm going to build a gaming computer or a mac running hackintosh with that software that lets you boot up either mac or windows and have a gaming computer/amazing mac.

  • @MrMegaRoar Well I use it as a dual booting system for gaming on the PC, and video/music editing on the Mac. The graphics card in this build will play all of the latest games (the latest I've tried is COD:BO) and will run Final Cut Pro perfectly.

  • @hackintosh101 Alright I'm pming you now...did you use parts from newegg?

  • @hackintosh101

So how were you able to do dual booting systems with a freshly built rig? I'm wanting to do the same but i've read that if I wanted to install both OS on the same driver than I would need install 1 OS so that i could partition the driver and allocate enough space for each OS. This would require me to reformat the hard drive so I would then need to reinstall that OS over again. basically, its a bitch! u have an easier way?

  • @ataoldotcom I installed OSX first. Then partitioned 250GB for Windows and installed it. Then, I booted back into Mac using a thumb drive with Chameleon on it and, using some code I found online, I set the Chameleon boot loader already on the hard drive as the default boot disk. I then took out the thumb drive and put in my Windows install disk and repeated the procedure with code made for Windows.

  • @hackintosh101

okay, sounds easy enough. I'll look up "dual boot hackintosh code" or something like that. OSx86, or similar, should pop up. thanks.

  • @hackintosh101

okay i'll google OSx86 for that code. Also,do you install programs on both sides of your partitioned drive. I will probably partition an SSD for the two OS , but I'm wondering will I have to double install the same programs (i.e. After Effects) on both the OSX and the Windows 7 side of the SSD. My other hard drives are exclusively for media.

  • How well does this run mac?

  • @MrMegaRoar It runs amazingly for my needs.

  • memory installed the wrong way...

  • @theOscar117 Hmm I have heard that from others. How so?

  • @hackintosh101 if you are using dual channel memory you have te put the dimms in the slots with the same color, they must match...

  • @theOscar117 Oh I see. I will change that right now actually.

  • IO shield goes in before the mobo

  • @idcosog Oh dang I forgot. Time to add an annotation.

  • @hackintosh101 great music, i simply loved the song

  • I have been building hackintoshes since 10.4.4 and still do(: my current i3 rig EASILY beats any dual core iMac available right now. even with some quad cores. And the best part is, only costed me $700! Hackintoshes are the way to go!

  • i don't quite get the title of this video. the first part (hardware part) just shows building a standard computer that could run any operating system. getting mac os x run on non-mac machines is all about the software part, however.

i too can run mac os x and i didn't have to build a computer for it. have a look at Oracle VirtualBox! ;)

btw, the cable management of your case is just sad. for better air circulation it's vital to have in the main compartment as few "free" cables as possible.

  • iHack G4

  • i have a m9340f hp pavilion elite, My computer is a quad core so i dont know if that's the problem or not. I added a second hdd 600gb of space so iam using that to install mac osx snow leopard unto it. main hdd running win7 is not being touced

When i pop the dvd in and go the the darwin boot screeni press enter it runs and then for a split second i see the apple logo and my computer restarts. So I have no idea what the problem is....lots of writing but please advice what i need to do next

  • I call these a poor mans MAC

  • @VBProject125 Well no matter what you call it, it is a solid machine.

  • @hackintosh101 I love building my own hackuntosh's. I was just pointing out what i call them

  • @VBProject125 Oh I gotcha. Hackintosh is the way to go I think ;)

  • @VBProject125 My brother have a $ 2,000 Mac and I have a $1100 and guess what? Mine run faster than his original mac and have more ram,hd,processor etc

  • @VBProject125 back in the day mac users used to say macs were better because motorola processors were more advanced than intel, then apple dropped motorola and switched to intel (speaks for itself).

nowadays mac fans only excuse is that "macs cost more". its sort of like people who buy BMWs; anyone who knows about cars knows there are cars that are just as good for less money. people who buy BMWs don't really understand cars, they just can't be bothered to do the research and so overpay.

  • @wookieinheat that's a 100% agree from my part! you speak my mind

  • I call these a poor man MAC

  • @VBProject125 call it that but you have a whole lot more expansion capabilities than what apple offers hell in 5yrs it will be a new apple on the market which will force you to buy it because apple is notorious for stopping the support on their products after you spent damn near $2000 when u could make this for under $500

  • hey, i can use a i7 950 intel right?... can you please recomend a motherboard under 300 i can use for it?

  • @rocksamasan asus x58 sabertooth cost 200 get it and its a 1366 socket

  • @latitude2009 Yes, Amazon . com or your local Apple store. It is only $30, come on.

  • @hackintosh101 : man the problem i'm not in USA. so not easy to get i live in jordan and this make it hard to send if i buy from Amazon. but it's ok will find out way for this.. thank you man..

  • one more thing if you hear about program iBoot or EmpireEFI. it's use in bootloader to install mac on pc. i have this file and i try to brun it on cd but not work i try with different program i wonder why that i think may be because DMG file it's not work when burn it inwindows. if you don't mind to upload show how to burn file like this. thank you very much...

  • i download so many copy from net, but all that copy didn't work some of that copy already have missing file, so because of that i ask you if possible to you to upload the copy of MAC OS X 10.6 that you use now in any website.

  • @latitude2009 I'm sorry but uploading my copy is DEFINITELY illegal. I can't do that.

  • @hackintosh101 : it's ok man. any suggestion to me where i can get good copy? thank you

  • @hackintosh101 apparently installing your legally purchased software (snow leopard) is illegal if put onto a non-apple product device. So whats the diff if you pay for the software or download... ur goin to jail either way :p (lol I know they wont toss u in jail or sue you for doin your own computer, its when you try sellin it after :P )

  • @junglemage666 It is illegal to sell the computer, but all installing does is break the EULA which is not breaking the law. Apple just doesn't support you in any way :)

  • @hackintosh101 tell that to psystar company :)

  • @junglemage666 Hahahaha true but they were selling the Rebel EFI. That is where they messed up.

  • what manual did u read the case or the mother boards?

  • @JakeDylanReview I read the case's manual.

  • can you uploud the of copy MAC OS X that you use in any website ?

  • Hey, I don't care if its your first, second, third build or how long it took; I think you did an excellent job

What I do care about though is how careful you was in the whole process of building it and even went as far as reading the instructions. I was happy to see your insulated your hands with rubber gloves (assuming you was trying to protect your hardware from static damage)

I have hackintoshed 5 dells desktops, 1 dell laptop 1 hp laptop 1 hp tower and in the past 3 weeks I built 2.

  • @cobo10201 Got the message... you are welcome!

  • gloves? gtfo

  • What are the specs?

  • Comment removed

  • How much did it cost total?

  • @soccerdevil619 Around $750. Much cheeper than if you were to buy this configuration from Apple for about $2750

  • @hackintosh101 What are the specs? and where do you find a mac over 2750 other than the mac pro, from apple?

  • is it legal?

  • @MUTORIALS If you own a legal copy of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, then yes. Only, you break the EULA, but it's fine if no one finds out.

  • @MUTORIALS And even if you break the EULA then all it means is that Apple won't give you any support what-so-ever.

  • was the third guy your dad? and wow. didnt know its takes three to build. but its ur 1st build. nice job btw!

  • Comment removed

  • Your first build was a hackintosh! Awesome! I ran the same board in my first hackintosh built from scratch, it's a good solid board for sure, enjoy the machine!

  • Always read the manual

  • wow, it takes you guys forever to build a pc.. it shouldn't take more than 10min, max 20min. :|

now the os installation, it takes forever!!

  • @bmw2go11 Sorry, this was my first build. I hadn't done any work on a PC before except for replacing a video card.

  • @hackintosh101 no problem, everyone starts slow, then either progressively get's better, or quits and is forever labeled as a loser..

for a first ever build, not bad!

  • @hackintosh101 PCs are gay

  • @1234567abc3 Ahh I disagree.

  • @1234567abc3

Hackintosh then if you hate Windows :)

  • the RAMs are not inserted correctly.

If there are 2 plates, each one of X memory, then you should insert one plate on one color (e.g. red) and the other one as well.

But not the way you guis did it, one plate on red and the other one on yellow.

  • hey, what song is that???? thanks

  • @ikazoma I don't remember the first one. But the second one is a Mortal Kombat remix.

  • why fucking gloves

  • @6computer6 finger grease fucks up you mobo

  • dang dexters labb

  • Can you send me a message with all the materials i would need..and that booklet you were lookin at please? :)

  • @Rob4ukid Check out the link to my tutorial in the description, full materials list there

  • Hey... So how reliable is this system? Im about to go to art school for film and I need a machine to run final cut pro... Would this be great for that?

  • @vincentbbalintucas As far as I know, yes.

  • Gigabyte mobo's work awesome with SL, and installing it with a legit SL install DVD disk using Kakewalk makes it almost a perfect hackingtosh, meaning Kakewalk 2.2 bootloader does all the work with drivers for these mobos! Asus mobos are also very good for SL especiall with an Core i7 cpu!

  • could apple sue you for this?

  • @drew4macs Sue me, no. Frown upon me, yes. In the legal documentation for Snow Leopard, it says you cannot install Mac OS X software on a computer that is not branded by Apple. So sticking an Apple sticker on my Hackintosh makes it legal. I just love the ways people have found to get around Apple's product tax :)

  • hey dude, great video, this is how all videos about this stubject sho uld be. one question: where did you buy your mobo? did you get a good deal? thanks

  • @rockbutt123 I got the mobo on Newegg, so I got a great deal. But now it seems every site is out of stock :/ In my tutorial I have a link to a site that still has it but who knows how long that will last?

  • @hackintosh101 yea i know right? everywhere im goi ng it seems like theyre out. i hope it still available. thanks though.

  • @rockbutt123 Just so you know, I found out that the EP45C-UD3R works the same, if you can find that board.

  • @hackintosh101 thanks. ill look and see if i can find a good deal on one. do you k now by chance which motherboard works out of the box when installling SL? wifi works, audio works, video works, that sort of thi ng. thanks

  • @hackintosh101 but i think i also am leaning toward getting the Asus P5W board cuz of its built in wifi, im hoping that once SL is installed that it will recognize it as an airport card and i wont have any problems with internet.

  • @rockbutt123 That seems like a good choice because I know people have gotten SL running on that board

  • @hackintosh101 thanks. but its hard trying to find a good deal. everyone wants about 100 bucks for it, including shipping. and i just wanna spend about no more than 80 bucks for including shipping . anything more than that is too much. but i guess im just a cheap ass. and i have to if i really want that board right?

  • @rockbutt123 Nahh haha not a cheap ass. Everything is way overpriced. But since everything is, we all just have to deal.. Ha

  • @hackintosh101 true true my ninja. lol. these izzz tuff times we be livin in . goddam summabitch gov'ment taking all our moneyz. !!! but i guess ill have to take it up the wazzzoooooo or as you say, "deal with it" lol. thanks for everything man. peace ill let you know how my hackintosh came along or if i have any questions or problems along the way. koo? ok. koo. :)

  • This is poorly titled.

  • Nice work....

What's the music playing at the beginning?

  • those speaks are a sad state of affairs...

  • @slikkwon haha yeah, stock Gateway speakers from 2006 :P

  • What are you so slow

  • Nice Vanna White wave @4:48 LOL

  • I think it is easier just to use Rebel EFI and a retail disc than it is to go through the whole restore to USB process especially if you don't have access to a Mac... Also this Motherboard is completely compatible with Rebel EFI and so is all the other hardware you used...

    --

BTW for people that don't know what I am referring to, I am referring to the tutorial on Hackint0sh

  • @mikeyg6754 I agree completely with you. The only thing is, the EFI costs money and if you try to get it right now on Psystar's website, it gives you a 404 Not Found message.

  • Congratulations :)
