  • Actually, for new england fans out there-If any of you remember Vinnie Vincent(who replaced Ace Frehley), Hirsh Gardner played w/Vinnie on Vinnie's demo Tape for Kiss. Vinnie's band at the time we're named Warrior. I have no idea what happened to vinnie or hirsch. Just some nothworthy news.

  • New England;A band-that-never-reached-it's-full-potential

  • They were poorly promoted, despite the fact that album rock stations across the USA played them faithfully in 1978-1979. Sadly, the country was moving toward country crossover and the second British Invasion that lead to the New Wave '80s. Their timing was just unfortunate.

  • i sang this song at a karaoke bar and so many people asked me who wrote the song i was dissapointed that only two of the 40 or 50 people that asked me new the band was newengland

  • theyre awesomew come they didnt get big? sorry i was born in the 88

  • Boy I remember "714's".......Quaaludes! Took a few of those in the 70's and put the headphones on and listened to Black Sabbath! New England was innovative when they came out. P.U.N.K. was my favorite song. Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya was good too.

    Niall

  • A couple years ago the record label had some deal where if you ordered any of there rereleased catalog you would get a glossy picture signed by the whole band , which I got . Cool

  • I was at the HOT SWEATY show at Maple Leaf Gardens in '79!!!! I saw there tour bus at the Fairview Library!!! They stayed at the Ramada Inn near the 404 & 401!!! My brother and his friends met them in the lobby. They said they were VERY NICE!!!

  • Yeah, it would be nice to get Hello Hello Hello.

I know you can do it!!!

    Pleaseeeeeeeee

  • I cant seem to find their Hello song on utube....can you help?

  • cool. I was 6 when I saw them open up for KISS in 1979 in Toronto and tonight while looking at the slides for that show (yes we used slides then, lol) I thought I don't remember a note they played that night, but I wonder if they are on youtube, and sure enough here they are. So it only took me 30 years to be able to hear them again, and really understand what kind of music they played, lol. rock on!!!!

  • too bad these guys didn't go really big

  • No kidding, these guys were amazing!

  • They were really huge for me. And in the words of Joey "the lips" Fagan, "Sure we could have been famous and made albums and stuff, but that would have been predictable."

I'm still listening to them 30 years later!

  • Why weren't these guys huge???? They should have filled arenas, they were that good.

  • Bloody great head bangin music dudes

  • I used to work for Hirsh at Boston's Daddy's Music.

  • in 1985, i rented a rehearsal space from him

when he lived in braintree....he offered to take promo pix!!

  • GREAT SHIT !!!!!

  • If this song doesn't make you wanna dance then you got something wrong with you.

  • Thank you so much for putting this on here!!! I am from this era and thought it was forgotten about!! Again, thank you!!

  • great album this ....still have the vinyl and recently got the cd

  • OMG, thought I would never hear this again! I only heard it once, on the "new" (at that time) version of "Juke Box Jury" in 1979: I thought it was great, but never heard it again because it wasn't a hit, and I forgot the name of the band so was never able to find it. (ain't Google great?) I remember on the show they compared it to ELO, and I guess the keyboards are a little similar :)

  • telephone line give me some time ..... I THINK I'M IN NOWERE

  • Met Paul Stanley at a "meet and greet" on the Revenge Tour here in Texas back around '92 and when I went up to Paul and I asked him..."What ever happenend to that band New England?" (I thought I was asking a pretty cool and deep question that he had not been asked before). Paul said "Who?...I don't know them." I was shocked. Thought I might have had my info wrong about the connection between the bands. Oh well...not causing trouble between the two bands...just thought I'd give my story.

  • Hey endbox thanks for the POST of New England..too bad you did have the "SHOOT" video...You Rock!!

  • wow, you can actually hear traces of Alcatrazz here

  • saw kiss in 1976 as well maybe it was back then I saw them for the first time, hard to say the columbian gold was some good in those days, I honestly don't remember that they warmed up for kiss but I remember seeing them in concert went right out bought the eight-track

  • It was in 79 that they opened for KISS

  • it was the dynasty tour! and i saw them with the outlaws too......and yeah.the smoke was good! still is it is just green now!..cheers, jimi

  • Saw these guys in concert with kiss up here in maine "awesome show" I loved these guys.

  • Nice video, THANKS ENDBOX.

Those guys are the best, and I will always be

a New-England fan, so many nice memories and great atmospheres.

Wish they would compose another album.

Or a DVD of some live shows and interviews.

  • you know they can't be that good when they were produced by KISS- one of the forerunners in turning rock into pop.

  • awesome song, new england rocks!!!!

  • one of the best bands ever...!everyone must have this record,1979,just called new england.

  • Ok maybe someone here can answer a question I've had since 1979 re: this song. What are 714s?

  • quaaludes dudeeeeeee

  • Ok... thanks. I figured it was some sort of drug, but just wasn't sure. Now I feel educated :)

  • 714's? We used to think he said "Certain Protiens" for supper. LOL! God love the garage bands who used to listen to the tapes over and over and over to try to figure out the lyrics.

  • Opened for KISS in 79. Check out NEW ENGLAND LIVE CD. Found it on EBAY. Great disk, great production. If you like the band this disk will kick your ass. They still jam every now and then.

  • bands performance is great...iwish their album explorer suite will be on your list too. for me it's got the best melodies ever by this band., like "serchin "....

  • Hirsh has awesom hair ! Rock on dudes.

  • Say, endbox--got anymore?

  • I always liked this band. They opened for Kiss sometime in the early 80's. They were good its too bad they didn't keep it going.

This particular song sounds alot like The Sweet.

  • I gotta agree w/u on the fact they sound like Sweet!

  • I always thought the song owed a bit of a debt to "Action",but if you hear more of their stuff, thats where the similarity ends!

  • Affrettando (in a hury) is the word for this song. It is very nice ! And Jimmy Waldo rulzz !

  • John Fannon its awsome Love this Band!!

  • The drummer IS Animal from the Muppets!!! Can't believe the stuff that turns up on Youtube! Never even knew this existed. Takes me back. Still got the original Lp. Off to watch 'Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya' now!!!

  • For all of us 40+ rockers--- I'm forming a cover band and I just wanted to know what you thought of the name. NEW SWEET BABYS ??? Just Kidding. Seriously, see the humor? Can we think of anymore cool band names to honor the past?

  • Man, that's the sweetest Les Paul I've ever seen! I'm still an old Bassist but that puppy is even better than Nigel's (Spinal Tap).

  • Hey, Is that the same keyboardist from Scandal?

  • Yes mia scandal used an arp as well. they weren't bad sounding synths.

  • Thanks

  • I love this band.

  • i remember makin out in my friends basement to this album. great for some action.

  • sabrina 714's are Quaaludes. I think its the number printed on the side of the pill.

  • This was a cool...but I still want to know what are 714s?

  • just recently went up on itunes

  • I wore the tape and then the LP out back in 79-80. Great underrated band and album

  • Wow, I am 14 all over again. Is this 1979? My how times fly. Great album and to think I have their whole collection on CD now.

  • Of all the things I've ever seen on YouTube, this is the best. I can't tell you how much pleasure seeing and hearing this has given me. Even just to see Hersch's magnificent hair! Thanks a million for posting it.

  • American version of Sweet!!!

  • top band nvid

  • I'm amazed to see that these videos exist. I saw them open for Kiss in 1978 in Nashville and it was my very first concert ever. I feel really fortunate to have gotten to see them back then.
