  • This video is the best I have seen of this CopWatch movement. It shows the purpose (in my opinion) and that is to observe and report. The police showed that they can do their duty, even when it is to protect the Watchers.

  • See, this is the point that not ALL cops are bad. When they help out against people like that douche in the white shirt.

  • Some of these people would make BAD lawyers!!

  • Well, Police protecting cop watch. Gee, kinda like the dog that bites the owner for no good reason COPWATCH

  • great video... not a big cop lover but these one where cool !!!

  • @yayarea408

You try to kill any of the common people, the common people will rise against you. The end result may not be pretty.

  • @MrGiantsbaseball

Yeah, it's "lame" to stand up to authority or make sure the common people aren't being brutalized. Keep living in the self-imposed prison that is your system. Good little German.

  • Good thing there were police officers there....

  • Comment removed

  • Wow should obviously keep doing this, because you can tell that the public is on your side 100% of the way.....oh wait this proves that almost everyone once you GONE!!!!!

  • @4:54 Remember that the next time you shove a camera in a police officer's face.

  • And u didnt even thank the Cops for saving ur ass.

  • Isnt it illegal to audio record the guy u were arguing with? He asked u to turn the recorder off...dont u have to? Wouldnt this be considered a voluntary confession, and make u liable to prosecution? Just sayin....

  • @gotgank

You have it wrong -- people are allowed to record anyone in public places. That's the law.

    It's like the cameraman said:

That police suck-up consented to be recorded when he walked up to their cameras. The only illegality in the situation was the suck-up's harassment of the Police Watch volunteers.

  • I woulda dropped an elbow on that guy in white so hard, his jaw would be in 3 pieces

  • @ThePeacefulResistor : Heck, in Open Carry states like Arizona, that guy would have been decapitated by a .45. for behaving the way he did.

  • Hey these cops weren't too bad. Thats actually pretty good.

  • what i saw was the police helping copwatch!

  • Kudos to those cops at the end at actually keeping the peace and protecting the cameramans right to observe and record.

  • Too funny. The cop tells the asshole in the white shirt to leave. Thumbs up. 8^)

  • The police at the end were very good officers.

  • Dumb downed IDIOT SHEEPLE, they DESERVE to not know their rights and GET LOCKED UP FOR THEIR STUPIDITY

  • nice to see the cops do the right thing momentarily

  • The guy who didnt wanna be filmed was DEFINATELY an undercover lol

  • Cops actually defending citizens acting perfectly within their rights, I am glad to see that. That guy was a total doucher who thought he was tough shit. His dad is probably a cop or something. Respectable law abiding police officers are great.

  • O WOW THEY HELP U GUYS OUT AND KICKED OUT THE ONE STANDING UP FOR THEM. Thats rare!

  • I'm starting my own Cop Watch Watch. I'll video Cop Watch watchong cops. You know, just to watch the Watchers. Keep you assholes honest.

  • @400lbGuerrilla

You're clearly just some authoritarian conservative who becomes angry whenever the government or military is questioned. Some of us have experienced police brutality first hand. Perhaps it's just the moanings of "bleeding-heart liberals" (what a retarded term) until it happens to you.

Do whatever you want. Video tape some people who are video-taping people. I warn that you may get bored after a few minutes. At this point, you should question whether or not you have a life.

  • @RevivalOfBuzzBuzz "Authoritarian conservative"? That's like saying I'm a freedom loving liberal. LOL!

  • I dont even know where to start on that last guy. Blocking copwatch from filming the cops and then being such a giant douche about it the cops have to come tell you to stop helping them. And seriously round of applause for officers defending copwatch from that guy instead of using him as some grounds for arresting them for disturbing the peace or obstruction or any other made up law they could have tried to use.

  • little tip, hidden HD body cameras are getting dirt cheap on Amazon

  • HA! A police advocate getting moved on by the cops, brilliant. CopWatch is a great idea, becuase the cops should have nothing to hide.

  • I like how at 4:35 the cops saved cop watch friend from getting his ass kicked.

I would have no problem with a neutral "cop watch"... but anti-police is just dumb.

  • @Vindaven here here.

  • @Vindaven

If you lived in Toronto, you'd feel differently. I was at G20. I experience police brutality all the time. A police officer in Brampton pushed me out of a festival for absolutely no reason. My verbal complaints were met with shouting and force.

I know of case after case in which the police were clearly in the wrong. I have heard case after case from people in my area. And yet police officers attack those of us who stand up to authoritarianism. Just read police advocacy forums.

  • @RevivalOfBuzzBuzz Hey is your name a referral to the EarthBound SNS video game (if so: cool)? Anyway... I'm going to have to disagree with you. Police maintain order. Order > Chaos. Always - even in the most extreme situations. Authoritarianism is better than anarchism. At this point (a stable society) it is better the improve the system from within than it is to improve it from without.

  • @Vindaven

Yeah, it's an EB reference. Nice catch!

I disagree that order is always superior. Chaos is neutral, in the sense that all things are allowed to come about under it. The responsibility is left with the human collective. Authoritarianism is an environment in which the rules are set by a select group of fallible humans with personal agendas that, in most cases, don't turn out that great.

In chaos, evil or good can come from happenstance.

In authoritarian order, evil is systematic.

  • @RevivalOfBuzzBuzz EarthBound was an awesome game. When it comes to authoritarianism I do not think that humans are naturally evil... and do generally want to be a "good"... and because of this I think authoritarianism order wins out over the neutral chaos... because I think when there is a lack of order (chaos) thug groups with weapons rule. When there is one powerful group in charge society can at least adapt and progress as opposed to conflict amongst each other.

  • Omg, some folks need to learn some rights

  • From what I can tell, it looks like copwatch is a bunch of retards either baiting police into acting inappropriately or violating the privacy of individual citizens who happen to be on the street. Hey great job!

  • @gardengnome

From what I can tell, you're a police advocate who is always quick to defend authority, no matter how obviously wrong it is.

If you are not on private property you can record anyone you want. These people are on a public street.

  • @RevivalOfBuzzBuzz

It is good that you cannot actually tell much...lol. I am not necessarily an advocate for law enforcement. I am an advocate for the ability to think. I support those who believe they have been wronged by the government. What I don't support is baiting. That is what several of the videos from copwatch seem to do. That is my opinion.

  • @RevivalOfBuzzBuzz

Furthermore, I will concede your point that in fact filming a person on the street without their consent is indeed not an invasion of privacy. After researching this a little further, the correct offense is actually assault because the offense occurs in public (according to W. Prosser, Second Restatement of Torts 652A-652I).

  • should have remarked the (apparent) fact that that retard who was harassing you was a drunk.

  • this US Marine would have sucker punched that momma's boy

  • we need copwatch in indianapolis

  • they have a right to film they were not messing with anyone.that guy was just being an idiot and showing off for the cops.people should be glad these guys are out there watching to make sure know ones right are being vilated,i wish we could do that hear but we cant 3 months ago two collage kids tried filming police and they were arrested put in jail with know bond went to court and received 3 months in jail then the city passed a law that know one can film police i year in jail automatic.

  • Wow, next time u guys try to bait a Cop into a Civil Rights lawsuit, remember that they saved ur asses. THATS what Cops DO. Protect people. Even ungrateful little shits like you.

  • @gotgank

Yes, call people "ungrateful little shits" because they have the gall to stand up to authority. You've obviously never been the victim of police brutality or known someone who was.

Ideally, a police officer is there to protect society. In today's society, however, the police have become the standing army of the status quo and the embodiment of the government's oppression of the common people. They serve as an arm of the government, being all too happy to cover up covert operations.

  • @RevivalOfBuzzBuzz I just find it ironic that these guys are there, hoping, wishing, PRAYING that the Cops do something dumb so they can get it on vid, when a drunk moron wonders onto the scene. Then the Cops save them from a possible assault. And these "protectors of us all" will be right back out the next night....hoping, wishing and praying. Looking to find a Cop in a bad spot. Fuck them. And thats MY opinion.

  • @gotgank

Your opinion is wrong because you're starting from a bad premise. You're assuming that they're hoping that they'll catch a scandal on tape.

The simple fact that police act as the oppressors so often makes groups like this necessary. They DON'T want anything bad to happen, but if something does, they're there to make sure the public knows.

If they were just looking to discredit police, why did they post this video? That's how you know they aren't slickly editing this.

  • Sounds like a undercover cop.

  • It's simple... Start SHOOTING Judges in their homes.

  • that guy in the white shirt was a douche bag I would've dropped him right there but then again the cops were there so that sucks

  • I am glad you are out there keeping an eye on the cops. Most of cop watch video I have seen here have been shot in the cops face lots of question while he is trying to do his job. When you are asking the cop question you are splitting his attention he dont know what your intent is. When you do not pay attention people get hurt. I dont blame the cops when the get upset with camera people interfere

  • .

What is the cop thinking ? Why is taping this? Is video person with the crook? Why is the camera in my face and not across the street.

  • Ha Ha, he made fun of your crash helmet.

  • Wow

They got a video the police stepping in to help them out.

  • police are law enforcers, they enforce the laws (without consent of the people) made up by the criminals that rule us.

it would be nice if a significant amount of policemen would start realizing this.

policemen, please do not participate in this police state, you are doing this to your own children. it is not an excuse anymore to say "I am simply doing my job"

  • LOL>..what a nutjob the guy in white shirt.

    A gun+badged authority+secrecy=tyranny.

    Good Job Copwatchers.

Too bad we didn't have that in my country...led to civil war and 3 million dead.

  • the last dude needed sucker punched and this marine would do it.

  • @sage0857 You're a Marine....you don't need to sucker-punch a guy. You could KO the fucker with a stare ;)

  • I would not have been able to control myself and would have knocked that assholes teeth down his throat. This is one of those rare times when I think the cops actually acted appropriately. I like copwatch, keep up the good work.

  • Mace the bastard.

  • Kudos to those good cops who showed that @ss on his way.

I don't understand what the issue is with filming cops. You only have to worry if you do something wrong. Given the authority you wield and the fact that cops are given benifit of any doubt .... you should expect to be closely watched in every way possible by the public you serve.

Again, good cops have nothing to fear. The good ones need to step up and start showing the bad cops the door.

  • You are too dumb for a response! Go back to sleep and let the rest of your civil liberties rot away!

  • apparently you have a reading comprehension problem. Read the first line.. Actually here I'll repeat it for you...

"KUDOS TO THOSE GOOD COPS WHO SHOWED THAT @SS ON HIS WAY."

the only one they made leave was the drunk obnoxious wanna be cop .... they did not make the filmers leave.

Did you even read the rest either?

Did you even watch the video or are you just a troublemaking troll?

  • Wow you don't see many videos where the cops are the good guys. I just think its funny the guy had such a problem when he was not the one being recorded. I wonder if he does that if the news cameras are rolling near him.

  • Comment removed

  • it got to him when copwatch said to the police " thanks guys" it got to the guy, he was soooo mad I was laughing so hard. cops are beginning to understand that copwatch are not out there to hurt the police, and this video shows how professional the people are in copwatch. cops began to realize that. interesting video

  • The cops at the end restored just a little faith in me.... That civilian drank too much testosterone that morning...

  • agreed.

  • the cops on the end of the vid must have read there constitution wish they all did.

  • I like how he went for the little guy. I wish I was there. Not one to be fucked with.

  • any good cop, in my opinion, should be appreciative and courteous of copwatch. they are just like a dashcam, not only there to protect the public, but also the officer.

godbless and best wishes to you guys.

  • why give any attention to the guy and if he touched you shove him back

  • The Cops did a good job there.

  • Was that Ian Freeman at 2:09? It sounds like him. Well, it doesn't matter. Anyway, keep up the good work y'all!

  • Yes. Ian was out with us that night.

  • You queers are such punks.. YOur out trying to ruin these cops and make them look bad and they come bail you out and save you when a drunk citizen was about to stomp your lilly asses

  • No, just simply having the camera on the cops makes them not do anything bad.

So the camera serves it's purpose.

If there was ALWAYS a camera recording every cops action, it will prevent police brutality

  • your an idiot sheep thats gonna get raped when martial law kicks in

  • @jacksonbrownbear

You call people "queers" (Homophobe?), "punks", and "lilly asses" for having the courage to stand up to authority. They weren't there to "make the police look bad". They were there to ensure that the police weren't abusing their power.

The fact that people hate them for this shows how many authority-lovers there are in society. I support this group, and I support the creation of more cop-watch groups.

Are you oblivious to the many police brutality cases that exist?

  • I can respect the police for that. They responded properly to the disturbance at hand.

Thanks for recording this and bringing it to the people.

  • See the police are our friends

  • @Cazspeed

    In rare cases. :)

Believe me, I am very happy when I see the police sticking up for the people and not the power structure.

  • Wow. If people were to invest this much time and effort into filming criminals this world would be a much safer place. Police Officers put themselves in harms way 24/7 to keep us safe.

  • 1:44 and 4:16 prooves the guy in the white shirt was a cop,,,there the same dudes!

  • he wasnt a cop, he was a drunk fascist sympathizer.

  • He was a drunk idiot, about to get arrested

  • Keep filming!!

  • Keep filming!! Your America's real heroes!!

  • What you caught on film was police "street theatre". It's probable that every encounter you had was staged! Did you notice the last jackass had absalutely no fear of being arrested? You can bet your life he was working for the cops!!

  • I would have loved the shithead that kept blocking the camera(in white shirt and probably drunk to) and creating a scene to get arrested. As the cops beat the teeth from his face ,you shut the camera off(no evidence).

My wiretap case in Ma started this police state action Started by now US Attorney Michael Sullivan .He and the bastards who believe you cant record government in public, need to be put in concentration camps and exterminated.I pray they get cancer and die slowly.

  • I got arrested by the cops in Glenwood Springs, CO for taking their picture while they were stepping on some guys neck in the street in front of a bar. They took me to jail, erased the picture, and broke my camera. Then, they threatened to plant drugs on me and said; "You did what we fucking say you did". I could only answer "Yes, sir." and show contrition. They charged me with obstruction of justice, which I plead down to disturbing the peace. Fuck the cops. I hope this cameraman is careful.

  • @BakaGaijin76 I'd love for them to do that to a military vet.

  • DUDE at the end is DRUNK.

  • No he wasn't he was working for the cops!

  • what a dumb ass. he is defending the cops and the cops run him out there. priceless!!!

  • Wow..the police that you are trying to make look bad and scrutinize just saved you from getting beat down by that drunken idiot. Ironic..........

  • You missed the point! He is not trying to make cops look bad. If they look bad it is because they are being bad. If they look good it's because they did something good by asking the loud drunk guy to leave.

  • over on my hood, they are stopping african american youth like it was open season. Many are stopped and if they find something, they put them in the industrial prison complex to work for bush and his corporations..

  • Cop watchers LOL what a bunch of cocks!

  • I enjoy my rights you can give up yours if you like.

  • wow the personal space invader is one scary dude.does he live in keen?

  • Maybe if the world wasn't full of so many ass-wipe citizens with chips on their shoulder who go around pushing officers to the breaking point there would not be a reason for police brutality. I'm not excusing it but these guys have a dangerous, stress filled job as it is. They shouldn't have to put up idiots who refuse to cooperate. My parents always told me "never argue with a law officer" do what they ask you to do. Sooooooooo. If they say bend over and spread em' I'll say how wid Sir!!!

  • You are a sheep! What if the King of England said you do not have the right to be free, you can't go off to America to follow your dreams, would you fight back or do what the nice King says?

  • @davidshep45

Someone who stands up to authority is not necessarily an "ass-wipe citizen with a chip on their shoulder".

Many police-brutality incidents are unprovoked. Did you hear about the recent case where a retarded kid was beat up and a neighbor who tried to intervene was threatened with arrest?

Your authoritarian upbringing/attitude is really disturbing. You sound like you'd have no problem with a dictatorship. You should have more respect for yourself and the common people.

  • Great vid. A friend of mine is a copwatch organizer. I wonder if people hostile towards copwatch cameras would be as hostile towards the camera crew for the show COPS?

As far as copwatchers distracting the cops goes. It seems to me that many people will stand around watching cops if they stop someone. But, copwatchers with cameras get all the flak for distracting the cops. In some cases the copwatchers might be LESS distracting to the cops. If they know you, they know that you aren't a threat.

  • Couldn't get a real paying job, eh?

  • @Samsondog83

With the many proven cases of police brutality that have emerged, you should be happy that these people are willing to take time out of their day to ensure that the police force behaves in an acceptable, non-authoritarian fashion.

Or are you such an authoritarian police advocate that you believe that questioning authority is wrong under any circumstance?

  • Plus, since they have no responsibility to follow the entire investigation, they can put a small clip of a fight on the internet or give it to the news without having to follow-up on any of this. Afterall, these people are not cops so they aren't as aware of everything going on and they don't report to anyone. There's nobody overseeing them to make sure they're doing their "job" properly.

Again I see and somewhat agree with what you're saying, but sometimes police work is ugly and violent.

  • what kind of camera do u use to record long like these

  • It always amazes me the number of people that hate liberty.

That guy would have excelled as a snitch in Nazi Germany.

  • "I AM THE LAW!" LOL

  • is this natalie's brother, tell her i says hi@

  • Good cops will uphold the rights of all citizens, especially those who help keep their morally weaker colleagues honest. This looks like such as an occasion.

  • Well, we weren't harassing anyone, since he walked up to us and initiated contact; not the other way around. You'd be hard pressed to make a case that we were harassing any citizen with a camera.

He was also clearly all talk, and not about to hit anybody. Regardless, having a police officer getting that annoying man out of my face was appreciated. It doesn't mean that cops aren't still out enforcing bad laws on innocent people. It doesn't mean that cops don't need to have their power checked.

  • @GloriousCoconut Did you ever find out who that white boy fuckhead was in the last part of the video who was harassing you? Let me know if you ever do I will GLADLY put a bullet in his head for you.

  • The asshole in the white shirt was obviously a provocatour for the cops. Copwatch keep filming America needs you!!

  • And I thought it funny the only "conversation" these guys had with a "Police officer" was only an audio recording? Maybe they did this in their living room? I don't know...

  • Maybe the guy in white was just a jerk? The cops told him to beat it.

  • to all of you out there who think it is cool to stand behind cops while they are working... you are dumb. do you not realize that when police are doing a traffic stop they need to pay attention to the person they are stopping?? believe it or not cops are shot at while doing traffic stops. when you are behind them you are interfering with an investigation. the police officer does not know your intent, thus he is forced to split his attention between the traffic stop and the person filming....

  • The police here do know our intent, and are happy with us standing around as long as we aren't in the way. A traffic stop is a show of force against a citizen, and the officers need to know that we may be there watching.

We are not aggressors, but why are some people violent against police? Ever heard that violence breeds violence?

  • I love the fact that you guys are out there trying to catch these cops doing something wrong, so that you can plaster their asses to the wall, yet you end up pissing off the public more than the cops. In fact, the very people that you are so ready to crucify, are the only reason you didn't get your asses kicked that night!

Yeah, those damn "thug" cops. Who the f@%# do they think they are protecting EVERYONE (especially you guys).

    Give me a break.

  • What, one guy who ended up getting sent away by the police.

  • They may have sent one person away, but after watching this video, you and I both know that there were several people out there that were acting threateningly toward the cameraman, and the officer's presence alone stopped those people from taking their aggression to the next level.

  • These people that acted aggressive toward the person filming the officers are ignorant and have no common sense. It is these people that will allow government to take away whatever rights we have left and just bend over for them. It's all about accountability and nothing else. Someone wants to get aggressive with me for doing what is constitutionally protected then bring it on because in the end I will win and win big!!

  • I'm not saying that people who were threatening these Cop Watch people were in the right, in fact it is just the opposite. However, my point is that here you talk about this big bad government taking away your rights and freedoms, yet this video is the PERFECT example of how the government and its officers are protecting those very rights and freedoms when there are others (not the government) that want to take it away.

  • Agreed and I give these officers two thumbs up for acting professionally toward the copwatchers and getting rid of the aggressor. For what I have seen and been through this is rare and the cops usually go after the observer.

  • Not to open a new can of worms and a new argument, but isn't that the same kind of stereotyping that the Cop Watch people are trying to catch cops doing? We all know that people don't like being recorded without their permission despite the legal ability too. Plus, I do know that several states do not allow for audio recordings of sworn personell, be it firemen, policemen, or doctor's.

  • No where in this great country of ours is it illegal to video tape public servants including audio. You forget that these folks are paid by tax dollars and we the people the the employers and demand nothing but the best service from our public servants. Easy as that!!

  • Okay, first of all, it changes state to state, but yes many states do not allow audio recordings of sworn personell. As far as your "these folks are paid by tax dollars and we the people the the employers," you are WRONG!

First of all cops pay taxes too.

Second, I know for a fact that what you pay in taxes that actually goes to cops is no where near what a cop makes. In fact your portion of tax dollars couldn't afford 1 cop for a full 12 hour day!

  • Also, EVERYONES tax dollars go toward buying police cars, firetrucks, trash trucks, etc.

So using your logic, you should be able to go down to the local fire station and take the truck out for a spin too.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't see any problem in video taping cops and them doing their jobs, but you do need to know more about their jobs before doing so. Do a ride along and see what its like to be in a moving target all because the officer you're with where's a badge.

  • C'mon dude lets be logical here. If your trash does not get picked up then you are going to bitch about it right? Same with public servants of the law if they fuck up and know that the citizens are watching them then they can not lie their way out of it. Cops should be professional not matter what whether a camera is present or not. PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS WATCHING!!

  • No kidding, and if you think that all cops are corrupt and liars you are ignorant. Most cops have nothing to hide and departments in fact encourage filming and audio recordings of their officers primarily because it disproves the false acusations made by arrestees. Why do you think all of the police cars have cameras and the cops where microphones to record them?

The problem isn't the recording, its the fact that the general publoc doesn't see the ever present danger and get in the way!

  • I never said all cops are corrupt. Liars yes! Not all departments have recording devices and we will just have to agree to disagree. Bottom line public servants will be held accountable by the citizens and thats is final. Good day!

  • You know what dude, as far as your "Liars yes!" comment, that shows just how ignorant you are. You show me one department that has the money to pay for cameras but doesn't have them in their cars. The only ones that wouldn't have cameras are small departments that couldn't afford them!

Cameras have saved more cops careers than it has hurt because it shows their professionalism versus some idiots rant!

  • true.

  • Police can legally lie to weed out confessions, that's been ruled in court.

  • And your point is what? They also lie to attempt to screw you!!!

  • My argument isn't that people shouldn't be held accountable, its that people like you shouldn't get in the way! Read raptorider42's comment and you may understand it a little better!

The fact of the matter is that people try to take it upon themselves to catch cops doing wrong when in fact all they are doing is jeopardizing the cops safety as well as their own!

  • I think cop watch people need to be in a cops shoes for a day. All they are doing by tagging along with cameras is causing a distraction which could result in injury or death to an innocent person. Your not helping at all. You are just antagonizing officers who are trying to do their jobs. These people who resist arrest and argue with officers need their faces pounded against a brick wall. Abide by the law and it won't happen to you. Period. My opinion!!!!

  • I totally agree with you. I wish everyone could get the experience of being in a cops shoes if only for a day. They'd have a new found respect for what those cops do, go through, and put up with everyday. The problem with what purplemutantas said is that the cops don't know the people behind the cameras and they know you're there to try to catch them screwing up.

How many out there want to be faced with that at their workplace.

  • The cops here know who my friend Drew is. So if he is out copwatching they know that he isn't a threat. In other places that might not be the case.

I understand that being a cop is hard. But, given the fact that some cops break the rules/laws is why copwatch exists. If all cops played nice and followed the rules, we wouldn't need copwatch. It's important to keep authority in check. It's supposed to be, of the people, by the people, and for the people.

  • I agree with that too, and I understand what you are saying. Believe me I don't agree with anybody abusing their power, but I think more of it goes on in politics rather than on the street.

The contradiction that I have with the copwatch arguement is that these are everyday people who ONLY videotape stuff. The cops have cameras in their cars and mocrophones on them for the same reason their being filmed by civilians. The problem is, the filmers don't know the whole story to an incident.

  • u say people need their faces pounded against a brick wall...? That is why we Need these people who video these crimes. last i heard it is against the law to pound anyones face into a brick wall.

  • All Cops have to worry about is the problem at hand, how can the person with the camera be antagonizing the cops when it is legal to film in public? They aren't of any concern to the police.

  • @davidshep45

If you argue, you deserve to be pounded? You're sick!

At G20, me and a friend were stopped by police on King St. for no apparent reason. They screamed at us and dumped my friend's belongings on the ground. I demanded to know the charge and informed the officer that his behavior was unacceptable.

In your little authoritarian world, I should be "pounded against a brick wall" for standing up for myself.

I guess intimidation and brutality is okay when it wears a badge. Fascist.

  • @davidshep45

You strike me as the kind of person who would tell the Gestapo that your sister said something bad about the Fuhrer.

  • Tell you what, place yourself in a scenario: you are talking to someone who may have a gun and someone behind you, who you are supposed to protect from harm, is asking questions and wants to get a close shot of when you screw up your investigation so they have it on film.

    Do you see the issue?

  • CopWatch is not about trying to catch an officer doing something wrong. It's about letting them know that if they begin down the road to corruption, we will see it. We have been pleasantly surprised with the officer's response to us in Keene, which has been very friendly.

  • I find it entertaining that the Cop Watch people are there trying to catch the cops doing something wrong and they in fact do their jobs to the letter of the law and protect these people, despite them looking for flaws in their work! And yes, that is what Cop Watch is for. You look for something that they do wrong and then try to spread it like wild fire. You don't show or promote the officers for doing their work properly because that's not what your looking for. You're looking for them to slip

  • @pwhite73

If Cop Watch's intention was to only show the police involved in bad things and they selectively refused to promote the clips where police performed their jobs honorably, then why would they have posted this video?

Logic -- it's good to have.

    Way to go, Cop Watch.

  • Video taping of public servants is not illegal in a public place and no one has a right to privacy in a public place including audio. If you tape on some ones property make sure you get the owners permission. Good job guys and never back down. This is the problem with people that do not know the law and think cops are all knowing in everything. educate the masses on their rights and we will all be better off in the future.

  • Wow, the reactions of some of these people is shocking. I don't understand why members of the general public get so angry at the concept of police officers being filmed. If these people are so convinced that cops are good guys and whatnot, then why don't they want the cops good behavior being filmed? The only answer I can come up with is that these people *want* the cops to get away with acting like thugs.

  • Good to see that there are some citizens out there that arent afraid to let you know that you are the morons that you really are..camcorder warriors!

  • @NDAaron

You're an advocate of authority who is upset that the citizenry is finally standing up to and questioning authority.

Good to see you siding with a drunk, abrasive moron because of your undying commitment to defending the system.

  • Good stuff, keep it up

  • You should bring two or more video recorders next time. Good job we appreciate your efforts!

  • I think the guy was an undercover.

  • It could have been a cop posing as a drunk. During the time of an arrest this drunk inteferred with the video and the arrest could not be recorded. Anyway The Keene Police do not like Police Watch plain and simple. Too bad.

  • This idea has been bantered about, but I don't agree. He looks like a typical drunk stuck-up guy who's parents are paying for his college education.

  • that's amazing. the people who gave you problems weren't even the cops! wow.
