@Ltb0b What is important is flat. If you use a backing board and work on a flat surface, the lexan should be just fine. With glass, the board is mostly there to make handling the glass easier - no glass edges to hit with a tool or on a tool resting on the bench. With lexan, which would not be bothered by that type of tool contact, the backing board would reduce/eliminate flex.
I have a few sheets of polycarbonate/lexan would that work too?
