Not on Windows CE. With Android it is possible.

This netbook model is over 1 year old. They've come up with a much better one for the SAME price.

You can find it on ebay for around 80 dollars.

The cpu speed of this one is 300 mhz. The new one is 800mhz

This one has 128mb ram, the new one has 256mb.

Try searching for an android minecraft version. If you can find it on google, then you can use it on the newer model of this netbook.

Yes, a GBA emu works for it. I use it pretty often, but the problem is - on a 300mhz processor, it lags a frame or 2 very often. Playing games like Yugioh is very annoying because the game feel 3X slower.

Upon 2nd thought, you're probably refering to Windows CE 7.0 which is totally different from Windows 7.0. The only similarity is its name. That has ARM support, however, on it isn't compatible with this machine yet.

Not an external HD. It comes with a built in 2gb ssd, but I'm not sure if you can add an external one. Probably not, so you're limited to 8gb or less SD Cards and flash drives.

The youtube app no longer works.

I have flash lite in the app pack in the description, but I doubt it will help you much. The videos run at less than 2fps.

I don't know about snes, but I use the gba emu all the time. I can't get it to work for the pokemon games through. Also, it's sort of laggy.

This thing is the bare MINIMUM.

I suggest this laptop to those who want to have most work features on the go with a few aspects of entertainment (videos, audio, ebooks, etc).

But anything that is cpu intensive will not work.

After youtube changed its site script, the youtube app will no longer work either.

I'll warn you however. The frame rate is EXTREMELY slow if you bought the 300mhz mini netbook. I suggest getting the 1ghz sylvania netbook if you want youtube to stream quickly.

I think kids are becomming more and more aware of recent technology such as chatrooms and social networking and this little computer just can't handle the strain. It is also extremely slow at streaming videos (Slow like 1fps).

You'd have to see what her interests are for a computer before you decide.

This is ARM, and you won't even be able to install windows 98 on it much less programs for it.

I just googled it, and No, you can't use it on WIndows CE. It's specific to XP.

It replaces system files to give the XP os the vista desktop, but CE has none of those system files.

WatchCharmedOnline, I own a Netbook which is similar to the one you own, its a "CHIE 005" and it runs Windows CE 6.0 and has no built in flash player or emulator, although it has 128MB RAM & 2GB memory.

if it runs CE 6.0, then the emu should work,

but the youtube player has files it uses hidden all over the computer and to find the right files would be hard especially when they're named random stuff.

I'll send you an application pack now. If you want to watch youtube, just install Flash Lite included with it.

Yes, there are snes emulators for this. I haven't gotten any to work but some have.

Also, there's a newer version of pocketnester that allows full screen, but I have no problems with the old version so i stayed with it.

I am Trying to repair one of these! On start up, it goes so far until this comes up "Application explorer.exe encountered a serious problem and must shut down" I cannot enter bios or go any further! I would be grateful if someone can advise me further! Regards to all.

You probablly know this already but, You can't enter the bios because it doesn't have one.

The solution to this problem is simple, reflash and reinstall Windows CE on the the ssd.

First, you have to tell me the processor model and I'll send you the instructions for reflashing that particular processor.

As for Youtube, sry, There's no known CE browser that can stream youtube videos nearly as fast as the built in youtube 1.6 application.

I tried flash lite on CE so i could watch youtube using IE, but the fram rate was about 1 frame per second.

Don't bother.

It won't work.

Windows xp/7 is for x86/x64 processors like AMD/Intel/VIA and is not for ARM Based processors.

You can probablly add RAM, but you will not get any other hardware changes to work. The hard drive is SSD, and I doubt you'll find a hard drive small enough to fit in its tiny case.

Besides, this laptop is 300mhz. Neither 7 nor xp will install even if it had the corrrect hardware type at that clock speed.

Oh, you need to use ActiveSync, but I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know.
