She did 2 things wrong here: 1) she didn't sanitize the heparin vial as well, before plunging the needle in 2) she needs to wipe vigorously for 15 seconds...
I'm surprised you don't have to put sodium hypochorite on the insertion tube of your bag. I guess they do things differently everywhere. You spoke of pain. I had to quite the cycler machine. Pain was my predominate experience with the machine. The cycler was a horrible monster to me.....
Have you ever gotten Peritonitis? It didn't look like it had fibrin in it but it is good that you take precautions. I hated how some of the drains gave me cramps. Thanks for sharing your vid on YouTube. You are so luck to have had such a supportive person helping you.
The dialysate was only cloudy three times during her time on PD. Each time Savilla used heparin to be on the safe side. Thankfully, she never had peritonitis or any other infections related to PD. Good luck to you.

Savilla never did hemo. She chose PD because she thought it would be the most ideal treatment for her.

Savilla had severe stabbing pain during the initial and final drains. However, she was told that was unusual.
