lol isn't as bad as when one of the quarter finalists in teh new one, kicked one of the gauntlet rods at the gladiator (although don't think she meant to hit her, i think she was just annoyed and randomly kicked it) John Anderson went crazy :D, and after a massive rant she wouldn't say anything i think because she was upset and got sent off. It was pretty bad, and actually wasn't staged :D (like a lot of stuff in teh new series - dont blame the glads blame the producers!)

Alright, I overreacted. I guess I should have expected a staged attitude from the new Gladiators nowadays. Times change, Gladiators needs a new image ahead of the 90s. Gladiators was one of the first shows I ever watched as a kid and I wasn't prepared for the new attitudes at first but I agree that they're not egotistical arseholes and I'm pretty sure they are nice people in real life. They put on a good show. I just jumped to needless conclusions which I really need to stop doing. Soz!

its the producers' fault! they want to get over their take on teh gladiators series and basically want to control how everything goes and how the gladiators shoudl act according to their names. if you watch the preshow interviews they're all much more relaxed and freindly and talkative like the originals. The new producers piss me off because they're missing a lot of potential with this new series!
