  • I'm in a patho class trying to write a paper on autonomic dysreflexia and having trouble understanding. So i just watched your video. Thank You. To me "AD" was just a couple of words that are tied to a complicated series of events. And you helped me to understand. Thanks!

  • Hi There sir, I am really thanking you right now for being such a brave and strong person! You are an inspiration to me to carry on in spite of all. I am a nursing graduate, and u jusy made AD easier to underatand!! God bless u sir!:)

  • I know how that feels I'm an incomplete c1-7 and you are really calm during that I'd be next to flipping out at the camera good luck dude

  • I am also a nursing student. I have to say that I have had a really hard time wrapping my brain around AD. You have made everything much more clear and kudos to you for being a great teacher by showing others a very small portion of your life. Thank you with all of my heart.

  • As a nursing student, this was exactly what I needed! You are brave and also have a heart to teach. The medical community needs more clients teaching as you do.

    Thanks so much!

  • I am a C5/C6 spinal cord injury, the headaches are the worst that can be brought on by urinary tract infections, activity in the rectum or overstimulation of the rectum, ingrown toenails, I have even heard of quadriplegics getting the autonomic dysreflexia after receiving tattoos-

  • Ah dude I hate that shit so much. And I live next to a water treatment plant so sometimes I smell crap and have no idea if it was me or not. I'm a C6/7 so I have experienced Auto. Dysreflexia more than I care too. I'm lucky though I'm more mobile than you are and I have people living with me that can help if I need it. I'm pulling for ya. We're all in this together.

  • Hey Chris! I am an OT student from WSSU...we are hoping to skype with you next week. I just want to send a shout out to thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Autonomic Dysreflexia has been a hard topic for me to wrap my head around. Seeing your footage has made it more clear. I appreciate all that you are doing and love your honesty. You are the real deal...not just some random ass textbook. Much love, Connie Reynolds

  • I have been watching you for awhile but never left a comment. But after watching this post, I felt like it was necessary. You are so brave and inspirational. I am a caregiver and care for a quadriplegic. It is so refreshing to hear someone actually talk openly about the issues that quads face every day. Thank you for allowing us a view into your life
