@atticus9799 Those jars are old Mason jars that I picked up at a garage sale. They have been around for several decades. Check out junk shops, Craig's list and yard sales. You might find some that way. Canning jars can be an investment but they last many years!
Excellent! I have never made pepper jelly before, now I will try it. Please send me your vid as a video response and I will post it under my videos today. That way everyone will have an easy time watching all our videos. Have a great day canning! Noreen : )
@horticultureandhomes Send this one and that way when they come here they can find out what else you have done. Thanks: I will send mine too! Noren : )
This is one thing I haven't tried canning yet and will have to try. My mother-in-law said she used to can it and color half of it green and half of it red and give them as Christmas presents to co-workers. Beautiful video, happy National Can It Forward Day!
I made the jelly and it is wonderful! My entire family loves it. The only thing I was not sure of is when it called for 12 oz of jalapeno peppers I didn't know if that meant before they were cut up or after they were seeded. Anyway, I went with after they were stemmed, seeded and deveined. It worked fantastic. I sure hope I get more jalapeno peppers. This is worth making another batch. It is easy!
Wow, that was a LOT of sugar ! A friend of mine makes this, and says its pretty good. I've never tried it. Since I have a load of habaneros, and not very many jalepenos, what would happen if the 2 were mixed to make this jelly? Would I have to worry about folks suing me for damages ? ;-)
Can't wait to make my own. I don't have quite enough peppers so a trip to the store is in order today. Last night I made 6 quarts of applesauce. Later today I am making bread and butter pickles and watermelon rind pickles with my daughter-in-law who is learning how to can today. Right now I am going to can these beautiful heirloom tomatoes. Yeah!
@lauriegirl2 Wonderful! I hope you show all of these preserved goodies! It's great that you can teach someone else how to can!!!! I have a bumper crop this year so I am sure to make another batch of this up with some added heat for my spouse.
@willkaren4ver It is not like breakfast jelly. Think of it more like a chutney. Video #30 shows how to serve this jelly. I have just uploaded it. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@badbrainprep That's great! Tomato relish sounds good. I wonder if I will have enough tomatoes to make some this year.
