Tea party participants are normal and sane which is clear to see in this video. The opposition is clearly unsettled. They know they have no sound footing against common sense!
You see, in reading the comments from Tea Baggers here it is obvious they truly are delusional and believe their own lies. They use straw arguments and grossly exaggerate to make them come across as the victims... Blowing up this whole infiltration of their rally thing is one large example. In Truth Tea Baggers are the Lawn Chair Brigade for the modern KKK wanna-b's. Most Tea Baggers are fat, ignorant, amnesiac, arrogant and bigoted. Dam Bullies.
Everyone: zoarmonkey is a coward, and is incapable of defending any of his comments. Simply call him out with facts, and he will back down and find the nearest exit.
The left wing nut bags trying to crash Tea Party rallies, is just another indicator of how scared the left socialists are of average Americans exercising their constitutional rights. IF these Marxists fools had anything worth listening to, why don't they form their own rally???......Ans.....No one would show up.
All these dimwits have are lies, demonization, class warfare and character assassination. PATHETIC!! See ya in Nov..
@towerclimber37 by that defintion many republican presidents are more "socialist". Nixon for example wanted a healthcare bill that would force the companies to pay for the insurance for their employees. Bush "nationalized" the banks. So how far are you going to push this argument of yours? And when are you going to concede it's just based on ignorance? Or you could start calling Bush a socialist, that would be LOLworthy.
@towerclimber37 He is not in any way shape or form a socialist. I am one I should know. Hell, hes not even a liberal. And while you are just making a lot of fluff words there (is he taking way your "freedoms" too?). Yeah, you're right, Obama is pretty much continuing the bush legacy of bailing out the rich and continuing infringing privacy to "fight terror". Again he is definitely not a socialist, no matter who he hung out with in college. Hell, some neocons were even members of socialist orgs.
vader----Contrary to YOUR over inflated sense of self and righteousness, I do not think everyone is stupid. There are many intelligent people and people who are also realists, however the TEA BAGGERS are NOT either of those. They are ideologues who are clueless or dumb or delusional or bigoted all four, but I have not met one Tea Bagger who had any real sense and yes that includes you.
@towerclimber37 The guy is nuts and totally off the deep end. Can't make a single point so he just spouts bullshit. Everyone is crazy except him. The guy is out of his mind spamming the board with the same thing over and over again. Everyone is crazy, tea party is racist and on and on. Monkey boy is either a plant or a complete loon
Monkey boy can't stop spouting the same lines over and over again. Spamming the board with his left wing bullshit. All hail the democrat socialists LOL Keep all calling people names because that's the only arguement he seems to have. In his warped view everyone is stupid but him. LOL Sorry loser the tea party is here and people don't like your dear leader so get over it.
@towerclimber37 --All you do here is post inane and insane straw arguments and post lies. So you have no basis to question what another person does here or how valid their comments are. Yours' are senseless dribble.
The added irony of this situation is so many of the Tea Baggers are NOT wealthy yet they DEFEND and fight for the ultra rich's hold on society. They are like stupid stooges for the ultra wealthy. look how they fight like dogs for the rights and priviledges that ONLY the ultra wealthy enjoy.... I know why they do, too: because in their puny brains they actually thunk they will be ultra wealthy someday so they fight for what the crazily believe will be their exclusive rights someday!
I posted something of a similar sort earlier. The tea party goers know that something is wrong, but not quite what. The "ultra rich" you speak of are Social Register entrants that hate the newcomers into their economic stratum. You even have to be third generation to even be considered for the Social Register.
The probability of upward social mobility has decreased over the decades by design. The upper-classes control both wings to achieve this end.
-Feel entitled to their privileges (which they inherited, such as economic and social capital)
-Encourage irresponsible consumerism
-Determine the pecking order (largely determined through one's lineage and pedigree)
-Pay legislators to pass self-interested legislation (oftentimes at the expense of small businesses, which ensures that the social and economic systems are further hardened)
@towerclimber37 -- you are such a troll, you GEOGRAPHICALLY profile and denigrate people based on where they LIVE!!! wow, do you have any idea how narrow-minded, and corrupt and vile that is??? Oh, jeeez, not a valid question, of course you do NOT know. You, sir are one of the truly clueless ones. One of those Tea Baggers..... And, you are dangerous. Your stupidity and hate and ultra right wing bigotry.
@towerclimber37 You're absolutely right. This idiot zomonkey just lies to get people mad and spread his bullshit. It's one of those plants to irratate people like those crash the tea party morons. Good news is the tea party is working to make losers have to constantly spam boards and lie to make it seem like the tea party is the boogey man so screw them. They're the one being hateful but they have to make shit up to try and discredit the tea party. No wonder why democrat logo is a jackass
@towerclimber37 --- Your MIS-characterization of LIFE, REALITY, WHAT HAS ACTUALLY OCCURED... are further evidence that you are completely delusional and may in fact be insane. Please seek medical help you are a danger to others.
@towerclimber37 -- You go on and on and on with all these straw arguments of your own construct where you make up and argument and then laugh at it as being ridiculous... Towerclimber, you are seriously delusional and you have a mental illness, please see a doctor. You need help. With your posts you have proved yet again what a deranged Tea Bagger looks like, Towerclimber, it is staring at you, wild eyed and drooling, in the mirror.
And the Upper-classes are typically insecure. What was the motivation behind the Ludlow Massacre? As well as all the legislation passed to reduce the probability of upward social mobility? Why do the upper-classes intransigently resist change? To defend its inherited cultural, economic, and social capital. Talent is also purchased to give a false sense of superiority. The Rockefellers can still summer off the coast of Maine and yacht, so the insecurity has no raison d'être.
The working-class should turn off the television, do some research, stop fighting each other, and unite as a common block for its own interests. The Upper-classes aren't the only ones that dislike newcomers (parvenu, arriviste, and nouveau riche exist as pejorative terms for these economic newcomers), the working-class also does.
The working-class are hungry, angry, hunters. Their newly working-class neighbors will be forced to go to a bad smelling NASCAR race or an uncouth Comedy Show.
Who in their right mind would want a fake social security card? I strongly dislike the fact that real ones exists. Plus illegals are very expensive to keep and many of them bring crime with them. I don't advocate communism but a greater scope of social mobility where small businesses have breathing room and potential. The number one complaint in working-class neighborhoods is that their classmates talked about going to the Ivy or even Oxford while they...
It doesn't matter who's in congress, they will always be a different person in the media via pandering. Even if Ron Paul won the presidency he still wouldn't have the power that the old-boy network has. There is a modern-day equivalent of the King's Court: It is called the Social Register where old-money plutocrats petition each other at black tie parties (or a yacht or country club, or regatta) to suggest the passing of certain political and corporate legislation.
There are uncouth individuals on both sides of the political spectrum. Richard Nixon was a Republican and he added a bowling alley to the White House, enough said. The uneducated never wanted to be uneducated, the biggest complaint in working-class neighborhoods is the lack of inherited cultural and economic capital to have gone to a good college ( to buy more cultural and social capital for professional and social credentials), and how pop-culture is objectively inferior to high.
@towerclimber37 --- You exaggerate and go over the top in the wrong direction. I would guess most people hate being around you; you take things to such extremes they do not at all resemble facts or truth. How much Right wing radio/TV do you listen to/watch?
Vader---you are the one blocking his ears and yelling blah blah blah ti block out the TRUTH> Any objective person knows the Tea Baggers have been largely VIOLENT INCITING and yes a lot of hate-speak, bigotry, xenophobia and supremists talk goes on at these "rallies" you know so stop hiding your cranium in the sand.
@zoarmonkey Make up whatever lie you. Either you're just making things up to be a jerk or you just believe what lies the obama girl chris matthews and others are saying but whatever. You have no idea what you are talking about and lying. You can't even reply to me because you know you lying. Keep spreading your bullshit who cares but we both know you're lying.
@Vader21690 You are seriously close-minded, assumptive, and wrong. I can reply to you because I refuse to let you ultra right wing, arrogant, amnesiacs control this thread. You, sir, are wrong about just about everything you typed to me, and you make some conclusions that are so backwards and false that I suggest you seek counseling. Do you always argue in the way you do: Tell someone how you think they think and then attack THAT and celebrate in the endzone over your false victory? You r sick
@zoarmonkey I don't care what you think. Spread some more lies and your twisted view of the truth. You can't even admit more tea party people and conservatives have been attacked and you claim the opposite. You need therapy because you are who is delusional. It's also funny on how many people you claim have a mental illness. Look in the mirror and you'll see what you claim in others.
@Vader21690 -- Duh, Vader, the people who are delusional and have a mental illness----interestingly enough---all have ONE thing in common... They are TEA BAGGERS..... duh, so yes they are sick in the head, and that also included you, and your posts PROVE how disingenious and delusional you are.
@towerclimber37 --- everyone knows tea baggers incite violence and make threats, and they overall exhibit extreme stupidity and/or ignorance. Look at TeaBonics. Google it. Among Tea Baggers ignorance is held in high esteem.
@zoarmonkey Just because you tell a lie over and over again doesn't make it true. You can spam boards all day long saying the tea party incites violence and makes threats but it doesn't make it true. Going by the truth more attacks have been done by liberals. How about that guy who got beat up by seiu thugs. Lie all you want but the facts are you are wrong and you know it.
Hey Tower---just because you are ignorant and do NOT know what xenophobia is it does not mean you have to yell to the world that you are ignorant and do not know what it means,,,, however you do practice it.
Xenophobia is a dislike and/or fear of that which is unknown or different from oneself. It comes from the Greek words ξένος (xenos), meaning "stranger," "foreigner" and φόβος (phobos), meaning "fear." The term is typically used to describe a fear or dislike of foreigners or of people significantly different from oneself, usually in the context of visibly differentiated minorities.
Yeah, Obama is about as right wing as any of his republican (and democrat) predecessors. The Healthcare Bill? Please...Nixon had a more leftwing proposal. that says alot. And Obama keeps sending troops to Iraq and Afghanistan and keeps increasing the surveilance on u.s citizens as well as serving corporate interests. the end question is, what are the tea parties really against? Is it because he's black?
@towerclimber37 - You want to reinstate the same old failed tactics but expect a different result? LOL!!! Yep, it's you dude, that's who I'm calling a brainless stooge.
Yep, let's have a even bigger and better laugh like the one we had back on 11/04/08 when you thought republicans would take the senate, congress, and White House back.
@towerclimber37 - LOL!!! You really believe that the party who allowed Wall Street to run amuck with deregulation, causing our economy to tank, the party that lost over 8 million jobs, the party that's nothing but a bought and paid for subsidiary of the bankers, Wall Street, and the health insurance industry, the party who was in power during the most horrific terrorist act ever perpetrated on American soil, over 8.5 million jobs lost while they had power, and you believe they have the answers?
@bigtexansfan I think you need to investigate both parties. Don't forget also two of Obama campaign big contributors Fannie/Freddie and AIG. Believe it or not Washington is full of corruption and we the people are paying huge taxes because of it. In case you don't know before 1913 there were no income tax. The federal Government got its money through tariffs and excise tax. When your spending someone else's money you don't care how much you waste.
@quizerry - @quizerry - Dude, I don't disagree with you. I'm not as naive to believe "every" Democrat is good, just as "every" republican isn't bad. Both parties could use an overhaul, but c'mon all these right-wing whackos trying to hang all this bullshit on President Obama's hat knowing full well the shit storm he inherited. When he walked into his new house it was a total fucking wreck, I mean condemned! So far I say he's been doing a good job refurbishing/rebuilding.
Furthermore that's why most feel the way they do about this fake astro-turf Teabagging movement. It's bullshit. Where were they when the previous administration spent like a drunken sailor, was cutting taxes to benefit the wealthiest 1%, sent our troops to settle personal family vendetta's and sacrifice their lives for oil, profit, and contracts for cronies. There was no "Tea Party" when he wiped his ass with the constitution enacting the Patriot Act. They've been made for the bigots they are.
@towerclimber37 - By the way, if you think that republicans will EVER make up a "supermajority" in congress, trust me pal, I'm laughing much harder than you.
@towerclimber37 - You sound just like those Minnesota fans who're still bitching about getting their ass kicked in the NFC Championship. New Orleans have won the Superbowl, got the rings, had the parade and you still have this cabal of sore in the ass, "can't let it go" LOSERS whining. YOU LOST!! In all reality WILL LOSE AGAIN!! Own your fuck ups already!! It's everybody else fault that republicans sunk America into a abyss of nearly irreparable damage on every political policy? NO! It's not.
@towerclimber37 i have to pay an extra $1800 on top of the $4200 im still paying from last year
but it doesnt bother me as much as it obviously bothers you because i know that money is going into systems that i value and may need to take advantage of myself some day
Then what are the illegal immigration protest signs raison d'etre? Many seem xenophobic at first but we simply cannot afford an influx of illegal aliens who commit acts of criminal trespass by enrolling their children into government run schools and getting benefits that only citizens have. Illegals also vote, which is also criminal trespass since they are not a party to our constitution and laws like a citizen is.
With smaller government we will need smaller businesses to increase the frequency of upward social mobility. However, the established corporate classes in bed with the government will do everything in their power to prevent it, since they are afraid the nouveaux riches will dethrone the established wealth owning-classes.
No one wants to live with their parents until middle-age, that would be social suicide and one's wife and kids will also have to live there.
The upper-class has always had power over the government and will always pass self-interested legislation at the expense of every other social stratum to defend its leverage. These people have a false sense of superiority over others and feel entitled to treat others like dirt. They want laws passed, yet want preferential treatment in law.
I say let them ride teak schooners off the coast of Nantucket or Maine. But to at least give what they owe to society.
@towerclimber37 you shouldnt be so upset about the government taking your money because if it went into your disposable income you would probably just buy beer with it and crash your pickup
That is a classist remark you have just made! Beer and trucks have working-class connotations. It is bad enough that the entertainment industry promotes the Blue Collar Comedy Tour to exacerbate negative working-class stereotypes (e.g.: ignorant behaviors such as opening cans of beer at a funeral, or having mattresses on the lawn) instead of ridiculing such individuals we should help them learn how to be civilized, that it is not appropriate to engage in, or laugh at...
such behaviors. How could there ever be a proletarian revolution if the working-class laughs at its own expense and conceives such behaviors acceptable, desirable, and worth laughing about? Get the mattress off your lawn, stop drinking beer, and eat and speak like a civilized human being, and then the (peaceful) revolution of the proletariat would seem like a viable option.
Careful with the BS word, women and children read these comments! Now, to be fair and balanced:
Have the captains of industry increased the standard of living a great deal? Of course, Carnegie's steel, John Jacob Astor's real estate, etc and sound business minds have benefited America to this day. However, social mobility in those days was greater since society wasn't as established. Today has a smaller probability of upward social mobility than the 1800s.
@towerclimber37 - Well I can speak for myself when I say that Acorn neither registered me to vote or gave me a ride to the poll. So your analysis on that as everything else is utter bullshit. And let's just say your impossible improbable pipe dream (or nightmare) would come true that republicans would gain the seats they seek. To repeal a law they'd still need a hefty amount of democrats on board to pass it, even at that when it gets to the President's desk does the word "VETO" mean anything?
@towerclimber37 youre just incredibly naive if you think the people are going to vote people who vote to raise taxes or pass a healthcare bill out. it would be great if all the incumbents lost, thats the only way to get real change but you dont care you cant even understand where our deficit came from
@towerclimber37 you obviously didnt even read my whole comment, you couldnt even quote me correctly. i did you the courtesy of reading all your bullshit, maybe you should read mine before you respond to it
@towerclimber37 no one person is to blame, but if you want to use facts, which i doubt you do, we had a surplus at the end of clinton and projected surplus all through bush but he decided to cut taxes and other dumb things which contributed to fucking that up
but please try to explain how obama cause the deficit when he was just a senator without using any actual facts, im looking forward to it
How are conservatives going to change anything if the plutocrats behind the scenes will not let them? Rom Paul would be a good president but he would have so many outside forces working against him so individuals would blame him for not doing anything instead of the fact the Federal Reserve and other interests would work against him.
I don't believe in communism, only that it isn't fair that the top 1% of earners have 38% of the wealth while the bottom 50% has only 2%.
I'm well aware of the bail-outs. That is why no one can trust either political party. Both wings are controlled by the plutocratic head in the middle. Besides, he chose Rahm Emmanuel as a chief of staff. Rahm not only goes against the very transparency Obama himself promised, but uses very strong language. Even though I heard public sector work is stressful I still don't think it's a valid excuse to say what he says given his position.
@nowhitall yeah! and those capitalist pig corporations jack in the box and starbucks, who respectively gave away free french fries today and coffee yesterday, arent going to be there because they cant see the advantages of giving free stuff to the public!
@towerclimber37 well tea baggers (LOL) are mostly old people, not to mention low-to-middle class illiterates, that probably wouldnt be able to make out writing on a sign unless it was clearly written, or typed
but to be more fair than fox news, in almost every tea bagging (LOL) rally people from both sides only succeeded in making complete asses out of themselves, including this one
Why is everybody playing the partisan Olympics? Everyone knows the system is rigged and is set up to monopolize leverage into the hands of the owning-classes. I wonder how many of these tea-party goers would be invited to a black-tie party hosted by Richard Mellon Scaife (or any other Social Register Republican)? One would probably be criticized for having their lapel too big, or having their bow tie's material not being the same as their lapels, or bringing up controversial topics...
The proletariat is divided against itself, not knowing that the two wings are controlled by the plutocratic head in the middle. Since the owning-classes will do anything in their power to keep out newcomers, the entire proletariat has to unite for its common interest and only look after itself. Considering that the owning-classes want to remain separated from everyone else, the working-class should form its own country. Let the owning-classes only govern themselves.
The owning classes have over $11 trillion in untaxable offshore accounts in places like Liechtenstein or the Marshal Islands. Every other social class should have untaxable offshore accounts. What will happen when the owning-classes remove the buffer (i.e.: The Middle-classes) between them and the working-class? The average working-class individual is larger than any other social group and is 60% of the American public. These are your police officers, construction workers, etc...
@jaymthegenius: That will wake up to the fact that the very middle-classes that have resisted the supporting-classes movements upward are being pushed downward by the owning-classes. The working-class neighbors the downwardly mobile middle-class will have will not like them. Unless, of course, they do not pretend to be better than their new neighbors. Does anybody even know that middle-class is used as a pejorative term the equivalent to "parvenu" amongst the owning-classes?
I love it! It's time someone stands up against these vitriolic tea party racist bigoted hoodlums. The morons go in public with their hatred and think they can say and do what they want and when they get a taste of their own medicine they want to cry foul?!? F!@# YOU!!! Take it like an adult... ON THE CHIN!
@bigtexansfan Bring it on, big guy. The truth will win. Your hatred for the Constitution will not stand. You're going to have to go play communism somewhere else.
@thejimmyzshow - Yep, spoken just like a neocon lobotomized cretin sheep. Just because I'm not a brainless stooge who support politicians who've sold this country to corporations, and look like a dumb assclown on TV holding up signs depicting racism, hatred, and ignorance, I'm a communist? You're right about one thing the truth will win, and these teabagging losers are getting shown up for the low life bigots they are. Most of these idiots are getting a tax cut, and still bitching.
@bigtexansfan well since I don't know anyone holding up racist or hateful signs, you're talking about people who are NOT conservatives. And EVERYONE'S taxes are going up. Count on it.
@thejimmyzshow taxes have to be raised to pay for the national debt that mounted during the bush administration, even if obama didnt get a healthcare bill that cost money passed taxes would still need to be raised. see, when you spend more than you make you go into debt, which you have to pay or your credit score goes down and china is less willing to buy your bonds which you need to get to your next paycheck.
i know the tea baggers (LOL) dont want taxes raised but it has to happen, sorry =(
@KojachBaumherr The amount of money the democrats and Obama have spent shows a deficit that is larger than all 8 years of Bush COMBINED. You can't pull that crappola on me. Try again. Raising taxes hurts everyone, slows the economy, and crushes business expansion - but that's the goal, right comrade? LOL
Nobody is buying what the liberals/ progressives are selling anymore. Thank God the American public is re engaged. This is not a fringe group anymore, this is a movement !
Even if Palin does win the presidency she isn't going to change anything. People will complain that she didn't do what she promised. The reason is that private sector interest is so firmly interwoven into politics that the government is just another extension of Wall-ST interests. When individuals see that their probability of upward mobility is very low they will understand that if you cannot join them, at least try to beat them. Palin would give a working-class face to the...
Well, nice to know, as bus drivers, that these morons have achieved their ideal station in life. Anything more and they might be a danger to our society. Of course, not that I would find myself in a liberal NE city, but if I were I obviously would not ride the bus for fear one of these morons might be driving.
Plus it is always better just to drive than take public transportation. I do not care how bad traffic gets. They might not have been "morons" if they had inherited the same amount of cultural capital as the middle-class above them.
The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.
- Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948
Well, didn't that just look like a 'Charlie Foxtrot' . I'm not sure what to make of the video. GarrettQuinn, exactly what is the point? Seriously, I'm not dogging you but what is this video trying to tell me? The' I love Sarah' dude seemed drunk and the Butch asian just screamed incoherently.
dorie--you act like you are some KING/QUEEN and can tell people, what to do, Do you know how delusional you are? Of course you do not. You need medications, sonnygirl.
Tea Baggers are all about hate, xenophobia, bigotry and getting facts all wrong... US tax payers overall paid LESS this year than last year!!! Dumbasss Tea Baggers!
@zoarmonkey You realize in a recession that there is less income, thus there is less tax revenue. Beyond the fact that only 53% of Americans have any tax liabilities. The rest either get all there money back or pay no income tax. You know all the those all the rich people everyone bemoans, they are the only ones paying taxes.
@zoarmonkey Oh and you know the facts? Please enlighten us. Your statement: US tax payers overall paid LESS this year than last year!!! Dumbasss Tea Baggers!
Your name calling is pure hate. Get your facts straight and do the research. Look for the truth and stop believing the lies being told by the paid off mainstream. If I'm wrong then prove it or be quiet.
@dorie657 --You ask IF I'm wrong prove it, Jeeezus, go to any objective news source and the info is blatantly clear...Most US tax payers a re paying LESS in taxes! You are WRONG fukface.
@zoarmonkey and what objective news sources are you watching? My point is made. Your name calling proves you can not be objective and that the liberal movement has done a good job on you. I only hear hate from you. Talk to me next year when you can not pay your bills because the Govt. slapped you across the head and took the fruits of your labor away from you. Wrong? prove it or go away!
"I love Sarah! I love Sarah! I love Sarah!" Proving these folks are infantile, selfish children at heart....I haven't seen behavior like that since my daughter left pre-school....
@rafaelblock ... Just what the infiltrators want you to see. Yes, It is inmature behavior. Is it any more mature to assume you know who it was and bad mouth them. I have read your posts. It is obvious you listen to mainstream media lies.
@rafaelblock Stop letting people brainwash you and get your self educated. Research! Look for the TRUTH! NOT! what you want it to be. This is not about Tea bagging haters. I do see hate in your posts. This revolution is about preserving your freedom! Wake UP! I ask you.
Aww, they're cute... Look at them all trying to get the dummies to see them as "brave patriots walking into the lion's den". You can't help but adore the dumba**es :D
People should understand that America's top floors/castes do not want them in their club. Even if you make it you need to be at least third generation to be considered for the Social Register. The owning classes do whatever they can to keep out the hoi-polloi/masses which include both the working-class and middle-class (whose culture, in turn, revolves around not being mistaken for working-class. Why does one's parents say to eat with the right fork or not have your elbows on the table?)
1:00 is the most intelligent sign I have ever seen at a tea party. Homophobic, bigoted dogs are dirty, uncouth and lack manners. Do they teach individuals how to be bigoted, Christian supremacists, homophobes in flyover country government schools? The Republican Party doesn't care about you. It is only a front for economic might and the fact we live in a plutocratic tyranny.
So, why not apply the same methods that the feeder schools apply, but to the public schools? Methinks (Yes, that is grammatically correct, although archaic) that the government schools would welcome the Harkness method very much.
Plus, the middle-class has always been used as a buffer between the owning and supporting classes. One must also keep in mind that social-class isn't the same as economic class (e.g.: Larry the Cable Guy is a working-class millionaire) but depends on your background
, education, social capital, cultural capital, and of course your money. But the top castes/floors/etc take their inherited multi-million dollar trust funds for granted, so in those classes a "polished" pedigree and various Social Register clubs like the Porcellian, Skull & Bones, Edgartown Yacht Club, and Tennis & Racket Club of New York (in other words, an outstanding accumulation of social capital often costing some economic capital) are what is looked at.
Only 10% of the population has 90% of the resources (much of it through inheritance) while the bottom 50% has only 2% of the wealth. That isn't very fair. Plus, the working-class does poor in school relative to the middle and owning classes. This isn't due to any inherent superiority on the part of the middle and owning classes, but because their inherited cultural capital is more congruent with the values of the educational system. The owning classes even attend schools where...
they get fed into Ivy League institutions. Examples of such feeder secondary schools include Exeter, Groton, Deerfield, Farmington, St.Paul's, and overseas the Swiss boarding schools that feed into even better universities than the Ivy (Oxford and Cambridge). This is to ensure owning-class initiation stays within the same families and groups. Passing down social capital (i.e.: Who you know) and cultural capital is these institution's raison d'etre.
@jaymthegenius In your attempt to come across as "intelligent" in your comments, you made some pretty basic glaring grammatical errors that shows you are not quite what you are pretending to be. Why do you seem to be so class conscious? Who ever told you that life would be fair?
What is wrong with being class-conscious? You seem to have a bit of it yourself for my alleged grammar mistakes (the lower case t was finishing a sentence from the last post) since that is also a profiling mechanism. Politicians, executives, etc are very class conscious, why can't anyone else be? As to why: People have a false sense of superiority to other individuals because they might be a CEO, Lawyer, etc and feel a false sense of entitlement to be rude to others.
@jaymthegenius Shame you didn't figure out what the real simple grammatical errors were. Our country should not be promoting class warfare and that's what it sounds like you're trying to do.
I'm not promoting class warfare; I am only showing how class warfare is being waged against the supporting classes. The educational system is one proof of class warfare. A C+ Student from Exeter might be accepted to Harvard while a public school valedictorian might be rejected. Then, at work those who went to the wrong college might be confronted with a glass ceiling. By the way, you aren't supposed to modify an adjective with an adjective.
@mcv47What am I "pretending" to be? I'm curious to know. As far as grammar goes this is Youtube, and you can find worse, such as double negatives, modifying an adjective with an adjective, poor grammatical number (e.g.: "Rarely is the question asked: 'Is our children learning?'"). At least I have the sense to use ellipses to indicate that isn't the end of the sentence. I used "get" instead of "are" because get has a certain working class je ne sais quoi that makes me seem real.
Funny that these stupid guys wore their union t-shirts so everyone would know who was being disruptive. The bus drivers unions attract the cream of the crop. Im urging my kids to drop out of college so they can sign up.
Please do not. Your children need the social initiation and cultural capital accumulation that college brings. Of course, ignore if they attend a community "college" or any other college without any clout meant to make the working/supporting classes believe they are being initiated into the middle or upper-middle classes.
@jaymthegenius Hahaha- Never fear jay, my 4 kids are all college graduates (the youngest is a veterinarian). I was just being snarky with that comment. ;)
Typical leftist thugs. If the Tea Party people were as violent, racist, yadda yadda, as these nimrods claim, then why do they have to provoke, and be mobys?
What uncouth dog would approve of homophobic, bigoted legislation that disenfranchises religious and sexual orientation minorities? Where were the tea-party goers when Bush was spending America into a trillion dollar deficit? Or, when he gave Halliburton, Bechtel, Rand, and other corporations an asinine amount of tax-breaks? The supporting and middle classes should have the right to pursue the American dream and outpace inflation without getting into debt.
I guess somehow Democrats giving us $4 trillion dollar deficits and more as far as the eye can see isn't as bad as a $1 trillion dollar deficit..... in fuzzy moonbat thinking.
And its amazing, that someone who supports the Democrats and their agenda is suddenly concerned about someone pursuing the America Dream.
Uh, checked your brain at the door I see....according to the facts, of the $12trillion or so we owe, nearly all of it was produced by Republican budgets, and in fact nearly $8trillion of that is from Reagan, BushI and BushII. And of course don't forget all the debt last year [2009] is due to BushII's last budget which added a couple more $trillion to the total debt....now who's the moron?
The rudeness and intolerance of the "liberals" disrupting an otherwise peaceful protest makes me ashamed to have ever called myself a liberal and a Democrat.
Liberals are soooo stupid. They look like fools when they do this stuff. Dont they realize that nobody is taking them seriously anymore? I cant wait till all these unions and enviro wack-jobs are no longer funded bty the taxpayer.
how is my comment stupid? it's a pretty modest observation. teabaggers hate america (IRS, troops, mailman, banks, unions, workers, CEOs, the rich, the poor, blacks, gays, unemployed, etc).
@LLORT3 Can you not afford to listen to anything but the liberal mainstream lies? It is obvious who you are listening to and to whom you do not listen to. You are biased and uneducated on the issues to make the comments you make.
photos don't lie...i seen pictures from the teabagger march, they were anti-IRS, anti-war, anti-post office, anti kenya, anti union, anti poor, anti wall street, homophobic, anti unemployment benefits, anti insurance industry
@petegadget consider what justice Clearance Thomas said of his absense during any state of the union speech. He doesn't want to deal with being heckled by democrats. It takes a great deal of maturity to do what the democrats are known to do which is act like juveniles who haven't grown up.

@zoarmonkey
The upper-classes control both wings to achieve this end.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@jaymthegenius
The upper classes:
-Feel entitled to their privileges (which they inherited, such as economic and social capital)
-Encourage irresponsible consumerism
-Determine the pecking order (largely determined through one's lineage and pedigree)
-Pay legislators to pass self-interested legislation (oftentimes at the expense of small businesses, which ensures that the social and economic systems are further hardened)

The Rockefellers can still summer off the coast of Maine and yacht, so the insecurity has no raison d'être.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
The working-class should turn off the television, do some research, stop fighting each other, and unite as a common block for its own interests. The Upper-classes aren't the only ones that dislike newcomers (parvenu, arriviste, and nouveau riche exist as pejorative terms for these economic newcomers), the working-class also does.
The working-class are hungry, angry, hunters. Their newly working-class neighbors will be forced to go to a bad smelling NASCAR race or an uncouth Comedy Show.

Hey Tower---just because you are ignorant and do NOT know what xenophobia is it does not mean you have to yell to the world that you are ignorant and do not know what it means,,,, however you do practice it.
zoarmonkey 1 year ago
Xenophobia is a dislike and/or fear of that which is unknown or different from oneself. It comes from the Greek words ξένος (xenos), meaning "stranger," "foreigner" and φόβος (phobos), meaning "fear." The term is typically used to describe a fear or dislike of foreigners or of people significantly different from oneself, usually in the context of visibly differentiated minorities.

Then what are the illegal immigration protest signs raison d'etre? Many seem xenophobic at first but we simply cannot afford an influx of illegal aliens who commit acts of criminal trespass by enrolling their children into government run schools and getting benefits that only citizens have. Illegals also vote, which is also criminal trespass since they are not a party to our constitution and laws like a citizen is.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@towerclimber37

KojachBaumherr 1 year ago
@KojachBaumherr
That is a classist remark you have just made! Beer and trucks have working-class connotations. It is bad enough that the entertainment industry promotes the Blue Collar Comedy Tour to exacerbate negative working-class stereotypes (e.g.: ignorant behaviors such as opening cans of beer at a funeral, or having mattresses on the lawn) instead of ridiculing such individuals we should help them learn how to be civilized, that it is not appropriate to engage in, or laugh at...
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@jaymthegenius
such behaviors. How could there ever be a proletarian revolution if the working-class laughs at its own expense and conceives such behaviors acceptable, desirable, and worth laughing about? Get the mattress off your lawn, stop drinking beer, and eat and speak like a civilized human being, and then the (peaceful) revolution of the proletariat would seem like a viable option.

scalp340 1 year ago
Careful with the BS word, women and children read these comments! Now, to be fair and balanced:
Have the captains of industry increased the standard of living a great deal? Of course, Carnegie's steel, John Jacob Astor's real estate, etc and sound business minds have benefited America to this day. However, social mobility in those days was greater since society wasn't as established. Today has a smaller probability of upward social mobility than the 1800s.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@towerclimber37 - Well I can speak for myself when I say that Acorn neither registered me to vote or gave me a ride to the poll. So your analysis on that as everything else is utter bullshit. And let's just say your impossible improbable pipe dream (or nightmare) would come true that republicans would gain the seats they seek. How are conservatives going to change anything if the plutocrats behind the scenes will not let them? (continued) for which tea-party goers have a penchant.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
The proletariat is divided against itself, not knowing that the two wings are controlled by the plutocratic head in the middle. Since the owning-classes will do anything in their power to keep out newcomers, the entire proletariat has to unite for its common interest and only look after itself. Considering that the owning-classes want to remain separated from everyone else, the working-class should form its own country. Let the owning-classes only govern themselves.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
The owning classes have over $11 trillion in untaxable offshore accounts in places like Liechtenstein or the Marshal Islands. Every other social class should have untaxable offshore accounts. What will happen when the owning-classes remove the buffer (i.e.: The Middle-classes) between them and the working-class? The average working-class individual is larger than any other social group and is 60% of the American public. These are your police officers, construction workers, etc...
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@jaymthegenius: That will wake up to the fact that the very middle-classes that have resisted the supporting-classes movements upward are being pushed downward by the owning-classes. The working-class neighbors the downwardly mobile middle-class will have will not like them. Unless, of course, they do not pretend to be better than their new neighbors. Does anybody even know that middle-class is used as a pejorative term the equivalent to "parvenu" amongst the owning-classes?

Why does one's parents say to eat with the right fork or not have your elbows on the table?)
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
1:00 is the most intelligent sign I have ever seen at a tea party. Homophobic, bigoted dogs are dirty, uncouth and lack manners. Do they teach individuals how to be bigoted, Christian supremacists, homophobes in flyover country government schools? The Republican Party doesn't care about you. It is only a front for economic might and the fact we live in a plutocratic tyranny.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
Lol at the tres declasse buffoon yelling that he loves Sarah. Individuals such as Palin, Glen Beck, et al have nary any class.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
So, why not apply the same methods that the feeder schools apply, but to the public schools? Methinks (Yes, that is grammatically correct, although archaic) that the government schools would welcome the Harkness method very much.
Plus, the middle-class has always been used as a buffer between the owning and supporting classes. One must also keep in mind that social-class isn't the same as economic class (e.g.: Larry the Cable Guy is a working-class millionaire) but depends on your background
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@jaymthegenius:
, education, social capital, cultural capital, and of course your money. But the top castes/floors/etc take their inherited multi-million dollar trust funds for granted, so in those classes a "polished" pedigree and various Social Register clubs like the Porcellian, Skull & Bones, Edgartown Yacht Club, and Tennis & Racket Club of New York (in other words, an outstanding accumulation of social capital often costing some economic capital) are what is looked at.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
Only 10% of the population has 90% of the resources (much of it through inheritance) while the bottom 50% has only 2% of the wealth. That isn't very fair. Plus, the working-class does poor in school relative to the middle and owning classes. This isn't due to any inherent superiority on the part of the middle and owning classes, but because their inherited cultural capital is more congruent with the values of the educational system. The owning classes even attend schools where...

@jaymthegenius:
they get fed into Ivy League institutions. Passing down social capital (i.e.: Who you know) and cultural capital is these institution's raison d'etre.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@jaymthegenius In your attempt to come across as "intelligent" in your comments, you made some pretty basic glaring grammatical errors that shows you are not quite what you are pretending to be. Why do you seem to be so class conscious? Who ever told you that life would be fair?
mcv47 1 year ago
@mcv47
What is wrong with being class-conscious? You seem to have a bit of it yourself for my alleged grammar mistakes (the lower case t was finishing a sentence from the last post) since that is also a profiling mechanism. Politicians, executives, etc are very class conscious, why can't anyone else be? As to why: People have a false sense of superiority to other individuals because they might be a CEO, Lawyer, etc and feel a false sense of entitlement to be rude to others.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@jaymthegenius Shame you didn't figure out what the real simple grammatical errors were. Our country should not be promoting class warfare and that's what it sounds like you're trying to do.
mcv47 1 year ago
@mcv47
By the way, you aren't supposed to modify an adjective with an adjective.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@jaymthegenius Don't correct my grammar. You are reading the sentence incorrectly.

I used "get" instead of "are" because get has a certain working class je ne sais quoi that makes me seem real.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@jaymthegenius Makes you seem real? Sorry but you come across as more pompous than real.

mcv47 1 year ago 4
@mcv47
Please do not. Your children need the social initiation and cultural capital accumulation that college brings. Of course, ignore if they attend a community "college" or any other college without any clout meant to make the working/supporting classes believe they are being initiated into the middle or upper-middle classes.

@ToddonCapeCod
The supporting and middle classes should have the right to pursue the American dream and outpace inflation without getting into debt.
jaymthegenius 1 year ago
@jaymthegenius
Talk about an oxymoron! Moron!
ToddonCapeCod 1 year ago
Uh, checked your brain at the door I see....according to the facts, of the $12trillion or so we owe, nearly all of it was produced by Republican budgets, and in fact nearly $8trillion of that is from Reagan, BushI and BushII. And of course don't forget all the debt last year [2009] is due to BushII's last budget which added a couple more $trillion to the total debt....now who's the moron?
