My personal opinion: I'd pick the Ghost Host over Jack Skellington any time.
HalloWishes is practically the same as this, it just has Nightmare Before Christmas references than Haunted Mansion stuff. They're both equally good; I just love the Ghost Host's voice. =]
Wow, watching this brings back so many memories. At the time this video was made, I worked at Walt Disneyworld as an intern. I think I was working at the park on the same night as when this video was made. I got to hear the noises of that fireworks show every night. Perfect since Halloween is my favorite holiday :).
I went to Disneyworld for Halloween in 2009 with my siblings but they did not want to watch the parade or see the fireworks. & since I had never been to Disneyworld & didn't know how late the buses ran I couldn't stay & watch anything. I'm so glad there are Disneyworld Halloween videos here on Youtube that I can watch.
when i sitting on one of the stones near a fountain (note teh fact i have a great balance) yeah this asshole knew i was behind him and bumped into me knocking me into the fountain (hence: i was dressed like Jasmine -_-l) nice world this is
I like Disneyland better. You get more visuals and see zero fly around and even fire. With WDW having a bigger castle you would think they put more into it.
its call this is halloween it is from the nightmare before christmas. there are multiple versions on itunes. i personally recommend the original and surprisingly the one by marilyn manson
sheesh ppl, if you prefer the one in DL then go to a video that shows it, why would you come to this video and say it's stupid? just to make your opinion the right one? There is no right opinion in disney.
SoCal, that show at DL is new. This one was posted almost 4 years ago. The DL version is just another version of this one, the original - exact same music and everything. I hate the voice of Jack at the DL show. Sounds NOTHING like Danny Elfman. Plus, the projection screen needs to be higher. Step two inches to the right and the damn thing is behind a tree.
I know they pretty much took the soundtrack from this show at brought it to Disneyland, but I still think Disneyland's is better. Jack sounds awesome. The screen is really good and is in a good spot. It's all good though. We all have our opinions.
the firework show should still be the same i worked there in 2006 when this video was made it was amazing i did the college program ask when u go its really fun
it is pretty much the same here. the music is slightly different they left out parts in CA but its cool cuz. Jack Skellington is the host. we also have a giant inflatable globe that is jack's head. and Zero flys around the castle.
*high voice* eeeeeeeeeeeep! "hellfire" !!!! i love that song right now! i thought it would sound way worse than in the movie (idk why) but i think they did that pretty well!
Anyone know where I can get the MP3 to this? Unfortunately I can't always go to WDW so easily, considering I live in Europe and they don't have this @ DLRP...
the same song in the haunted mansion is sung by the singing vases, rumor has it (or at least so i heard) that one of the vases is Walt Disney's head, not sure if thats true but yeah.
you can get the cd it has the boo to you parade music hallowishes and princess and pirate party music. its called mickeys event party music cd. and i bought it in october 08 when i was there
I worked every not so scary party in 2006, so i was there too :P
I have hearad that illuminations at epcot cost 10grand a night to do..but the company sponsoring it is simmens so they most likely pay for it, just like all the candy given out for the halloween party is donated by hershy or whatever company makes the candy. Disney dosent pay for it
Yep starts tonight. Only 3 more weeks for us, we were originally going to go on Oct 3rd and actually have the tickets but a Disney tickets rep called and said they changed the date to the 4th and sent us new tickets. Can't wait!!
Wow. You'd think I'd thought of that. Seriously, dude. If I could have brought it in and worried with wagging it around all day, I would have. But, as you can see, it would have been knocked over by the numerous idiots who ran over me while filming. That wouldn't have been such a great thing, would it?
Actually, you can rent lockers to keep it in there until the show starts, so you won't have to drag it with you all day. That's what we did and nobody ran over the tripod either :)
Me and my family were in Florida at exactly that time! It was the first time we'd seen the show and it was brilliant! It's so cool when the fireworks are shaped like pumpkins!
Thanks for posting this. We're going to be there for the Halloween party on October 23rd of '08 and this has been a great help in preparing my four year old for some of the things she may see and hear that night.
Anybody know how much they change the show from year to year?
its the same show..... and as far as i know the parade is the same too :) O! and they made new costumes for the castmembers this year so its not the black pants with orange t-shirts, first party is tomorrow night, kinda early i know but hey, its what we do :)
though they did take christopher robin out of the parade two years ago. I can't believe I am missing all of this. I just left disney and I can't go back for another year. I miss that place and its people so much :(
I went to Hallowishes sometime in mid-September, and it was just plain AMAZING. My parents are taking me and my 10-year-old brother this upcoming August. [2008] I cannot wait!!
THE REAL STORY - This arrangement was made specifically for Hallowishes and was recorded by Tim Davis. Tim is an old friend and an amazing musician. He has a myspace page you can check out. Hope this solves the debate.
It's actually not BNL or Panic (as someone mentioned earlier). This arrangement was made specifically for Hallowishes. The BNL version of Grim Grinning Ghosts was originally released on "Music From The Park" and I believe it later showed up on The Haunted Mansion soundtrack (the one for the Eddie Murphy film). Panic's "This Is Halloween" was part of the special edition album for NBC. To all those who have messaged me about the music, I know I'm behind but I haven't forgotten you. :)
Ya i was there last summer it was the VERY first i was there and you are so lucky you are in hearing distance my brother and his wife and kids live somewhere in orlando what time do they do the fireworks again? is it 10:00
You're right. This isn't Panic. It was recorded exclusively for the show. Message me with your email address and I'll try to find a download. :) I had it on my old computer, but I need to find another file of it. Shouldn't be a problem. :)
This is a fantatic firework display. I wnt a couple of years ago and i thought they were fantastic. What im trying to say is go to America and watch them at Halloween.Magic Kingdom,Orlando,Florida,USA.HAPPY HALLOWEEN DARLINGS.

i went a week beofre you and i was sitting to the felt at the lil tabel eatting place with a tree in front. And at the end i did the same thing you did to get all the fire works, 306 spin. I want to go back now
I had the good fortune to view the show a couple weeks ago. Probably the most spectacular performace I have seen. I have been to Disney both in California & Florida a dozen or more times. I never get tired of it. It is the greatest place on earth. Walt had so many ideas that they could never possibly do them all. That sort of adds to the magic of this show. He is the true mastermind behind it all & knowing that enhances the enjoyment of the show & this video. Thank you for posting it.
This is definitely Disney working its magic! Halloween is my favorite holiday, and this is probably my favorite fireworks show, even though I have never seen it live, only on YouTube. :(
I love you right now. I got to the Halloween party every year but I'm normally riding things the whole time and never get to see the fireworks. This year I saw the second party's fireworks while I was at Californian Grill at the Contempory and I was BLOWN away. I was hoping some kind soul had recorded it for youtube. ^^ Now I can always watch it.
This is a fantastic arrangement. The acting could use some work, but it's Disney World. Aimed at children, even though I, a teenager, still feels like a four year old when I listen to Disney music or watch a Disney movie or go to Disney World.
I went to Magic Kingdom for the Halloween Party last Thursday (10-11-07). Thats the 2nd time in less then a month that I've gone to see it, it great! The video is great, but being there for the real thing is unimaginable.
Thanks for the video. We use your audio clip to watch the magic kingdom fireworks from our neighborhood just two miles north from the park. I can synch the clip live. It's a great show from our front yard!
I don't know who sang that version, unfortunately. I've had a lot of people ask me about the songs in the video, but unfortunately don't know much about them other than that they were used in the presentation. Sorry to hear about your camcorder battery! :)
I just saw the 2007 version of thes sams show it was AWSOME... I have it on tape to, (I just saw it yesterday, so it might take me a while to upload the video...
Wow. Talk about production. That was a lot of fireworks!! They're rides might be just okay, but WDW knows how spend on production, which is what I like.
According to some programs I've watched, one nights fireworks cost around $25 grand. For special events, it can go up to $100 grand. I'd believe this would be a 100 grander.
I'm a pyrotech and with the volume of pyro disney uses (they're the largest user of fw in the world) that amount is way too high. A show like this would cost around 8000 a night.
The thing is, they usually do two shows a night. And during the holidays, New Years and the 4th, their show is amped up about twice as big as normal. Furthermore, they quoted this amount on The History Channel's Modern Marvels.
I'm thinking that its from the Disney movie "Hocus Pocus". One of the witches sings the song in the movie, and I believe the song is reprised during the credits. (I'm guessing thats the credit version if I'm right) The band that plays in the movie (also during the "I Put A Spell On You" scene is also in the parade :)
Yes and no. They used to do this a few years back and then stopped. It really disappointed me when I found out they stopped. I wish they'd bring it back.
I was shocked to here them play "This is Halloween" in there. That's like the only time you get to see Jack Skellington there probably next to Haunted Mansion Holiday. But it's a shame they don't even do Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyworld.
I'd love to see HMH at WDW. I've been told the reason they don't do it is because they have more international visitors at WDW who come expecting to see the traditional attractions. :( They do have a Nightmare sort-of shop at MGM that has lots of cool merch. :)
I hear ya. As much as i'd love to see HMH at WDW, I understand perfectly why they don't. Frankly though, i'm surprised they haven't just done a Nightmare Before Christmas ride in MGM.
I'm not sure, but I think they do something different. This is part of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I think in CA they do the Haunted Holiday overlay of the Haunted Mansion.
i really need to go back to disney world. after watching all these videos :) me and my family arnt going till next summer thought :( i have to wait a whole year rajpfjref
Corey Burton is a better Ghost Host. They should have used him.

These are cool, but the ones at Disneyland in Anaheim, California are better =D. The 'ghost host' sounds different than from the ride =/

Of course the Ghost Host sounds different. Paul Frees the original voice of the Ghost Host died in 1986.
This narration is done by Corey Burton, who also does the Ghost Host for the Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Happy Halloween everyone! I love this video!
majordisneyfreak 4 years ago
This is definitely Disney working its magic! Halloween is my favorite holiday, and this is probably my favorite fireworks show, even though I have never seen it live, only on YouTube. :(
majordisneyfreak 4 years ago

TylerGamer84 4 years ago
Thanks for the video. We use your audio clip to watch the magic kingdom fireworks from our neighborhood just two miles north from the park. I can synch the clip live. It's a great show from our front yard!

I don't know who sang that version, unfortunately. I've had a lot of people ask me about the songs in the video, but unfortunately don't know much about them other than that they were used in the presentation. Sorry to hear about your camcorder battery! :)

Wow. Talk about production. That was a lot of fireworks!! They're rides might be just okay, but WDW knows how spend on production, which is what I like.
Aproxy2 4 years ago
i heard in a program that they spend aroun 100 million fireworks at year
aida1002283 4 years ago
According to some programs I've watched, one nights fireworks cost around $25 grand. For special events, it can go up to $100 grand. I'd believe this would be a 100 grander.
blondeheroine 4 years ago
for Disney, fireworks are a huge thing, hence all the money spent.
jackskellingtonsora 4 years ago
I'm a pyrotech and with the volume of pyro disney uses (they're the largest user of fw in the world) that amount is way too high. A show like this would cost around 8000 a night.
yerrj 3 years ago
The thing is, they usually do two shows a night. And during the holidays, New Years and the 4th, their show is amped up about twice as big as normal. Furthermore, they quoted this amount on The History Channel's Modern Marvels.

GREAT VIDEO!
Who is that singing "I put a spell on you" at the end?
KrystalLaMour 4 years ago
I actually don't know. Sorry. It was just at the end of the Hallowishes song that they played at the park.
blondeheroine 4 years ago
I'm thinking that its from the Disney movie "Hocus Pocus". One of the witches sings the song in the movie, and I believe the song is reprised during the credits. (I'm guessing thats the credit version if I'm right) The band that plays in the movie (also during the "I Put A Spell On You" scene is also in the parade :)

i heard that a witch flies In place of tinkerbell. Is this true?
MOVIEGREEN 4 years ago
Yes and no. They used to do this a few years back and then stopped. It really disappointed me when I found out they stopped. I wish they'd bring it back.
blondeheroine 4 years ago
I was shocked to here them play "This is Halloween" in there. That's like the only time you get to see Jack Skellington there probably next to Haunted Mansion Holiday. But it's a shame they don't even do Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyworld.
GothicFairytale 4 years ago
I'd love to see HMH at WDW. I've been told the reason they don't do it is because they have more international visitors at WDW who come expecting to see the traditional attractions. :( They do have a Nightmare sort-of shop at MGM that has lots of cool merch. :)
blondeheroine 4 years ago
I hear ya. As much as i'd love to see HMH at WDW, I understand perfectly why they don't. Frankly though, i'm surprised they haven't just done a Nightmare Before Christmas ride in MGM.

ferron1966 4 years ago
do this have this in CA?
Hyena141992 4 years ago
I'm not sure, but I think they do something different. This is part of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I think in CA they do the Haunted Holiday overlay of the Haunted Mansion.

I love Halloween, and Halloween at Disney its scary but not to scary.
