Yes they are! You can check them out at the Restaurant/Bar Le Pampa in Les Saintes Maries De La Mer throughout the year. The place jams on the weekend and if you're there at the right time, the gitan musicians from other restaurants in the town hang out there after their own gig ... et voila .. impromptu jam session camargue style!! Its awesome!
