don't remember who had asked but, the challengers are selected by the producers of the show. They call you three months in advance and you are told three ingredients that may be used. They are not however shown until it's go time. This is why the team doesn't really do a lot of talking at the begining and everyone begins a task.

Though I am not a fan of snails (I have a phobia for these little molluscs), the challenge that Flay and Cardoz makes me want to try some of these once in a while. Hehehehe~

not saying flay isnt a decent chef, im sure he is that, but the fact that he wins 9 chances out of 10 against chefs that are both more experienced, and more creative than him proves my point that something is "fishy" with the judging

dude, just listen to yourself. I base my analysis on statistics that were said during that particular competition.

on wikipedia it has sakais win-loss-tie ratio at 70-15-1. He had up to that point NEVER LOST A FISH BATTLE in 40 years of competition, so you can see how I am extremely doubtful that flay won fairly.

i also base my analysis on watching many of flays matches as i dont just base on one. he has won battles based on originality when clearly the opponent beat him in that area

I completely agree about Iron Chef UK it is so poor it is embarrasing. Especially with that wine twerp Ollie as the MC. Nowhere near as good or knowledgeable as Alton

when he was 1-1 he went up against the japans french iron chef and destroyed him despite the fact that japans chef had twice the experience, and had never lost a competition with fish before.

it was about that time that i realized that i really dont like bobby flay, and that i think hes a hack, sure he can cook but i doubt hes better than all the people he has bet in the past
