  • @tamara6095: this was filmed 15 years ago, and Madonna has been talking about the loss of her mother since 1984.

  • wouldnt she have been pregnant when this was shot?

  • @PrinceCoreytv who knows...

  • is it a new trend to become a better person and cry for your dead mother???? Angelina jolie does the same . Im afraid Im starting to think that's a sweet hollywood trick ;;;;))))))))

  • Madonna looks beautiful in this interview

  • it must be so hard to be a pop singer? people always like to see the decay failure of a pop singer because they r jealous envious. People always using a pop singer to advance their career or gold diggers. Media and rivals always talking trash about them. No wonder pop singers r always having meltdowns. Madonna has been the strongest of all the pop singers.

  • sweet charming lovable

  • interesting to see this side of her. I'd instinctively loathed her since i was a teenager in the eighties.

  • I don´t think I´m a bad actress. oh my. She wasn´t very good in those movies. Who´s that Girl wasn´t that bad but she was horrible in it.

  • Madonna = The Ultimate Female Singer.

  • I love Madonna, her music is her life, like so many others!

  • Diane Sawyer = Bitch

  • @TheEvolushionIsMe

the majority of people who interview celebrities at all = bitches =)

  • I love Madonna since i was in sexteen yo,,she is greatest pop's singer ever

  • This interview made me cry!!! So beautiful.

  • Maybe, but she has THE POWER! She is very smart. She is revolutionary!

  • Never more beautiful and never more powerful than she was at this time.

  • she's so adorable...

  • i thought evita was good....and shes not a strong actress

  • wow...I love this interview.

  • @MyFightingSpirit Dude, you don't say i've been in bad movies, it's hurtful to the directors. That's what cunts like Katherine Heigl say and its wrong. She is a professional and after all was paid tons of cash. You should know how to deal with criticism when you're a hotshot like her(like Halle Berry for Catwoman), and she clearly doesn't. She is an awesome singer though no argument about that but I still think she's a bad actress.

  • beautiful but very cold eyes

  • @GoldenEra29 not cold but very sad eyes

  • I want to give her a hug =(

  • She was in bad and average movies. And she is a bad actress.

  • she must have a lot of bad luck if all the movies she's been in were bad movies. i personally think Who's That Girl was a great movie. I loved it and she was very funny.

  • hey Shanghai Surprise was ok!!!

  • This was just before her movie Evita came out, before she had her daughter. She was around 35 or 36.

  • @indyboyblu 38.

  • she looks so beauty and graceful in this interview.

how old was she at this time?

  • "I don't think I'm a bad actress" Yes, you are, Madge. Yes, you are.

  • LMAO! Was in 'bad' movies but not a 'bad' actress. Wake up! As an actress, you SUCK.

  • OCTOBER 1995

  • she's really pretty here

  • @2008atwt True.

  • adore her

  • Wow. I am watching and really shocked at how honest and open and raw she is on this interview. I'm surprised she allowed herself to be so open and vulnerable.

  • what year was this?

  • @prettygrl222 1996 she released her Evita CD and Evita movie in January of 1997

  • @RudeliciousTV

I think it took place in 1996! The Year the Musical-Film Evita was released.

  • Apologies for the grammatical errors obviously you folks can try to understand what I posted. Anyway, I still have that "Physical Attraction" for you Madonna!!! I still dream of meeting & marrying you!!! If not, I can always dream, can't I? Keep your "Music" going so I can still "Get Into The Groove!"

  • This is another reason why I've wished to marry Madonna. I've been with several women that are similar like her & any other woman. I've been the love of several women's life, but obviously I didn't last with them because believe me, I screwed it all up. Anyway, if I had a chance to meet & woo her I will, otherwise off to the next woman I shall seek. Love ya Madonna!

  • open your Heart !

  • Does anybody know what year this interview took place?

  • Wow. That's a side of Madonna that you don't usually see.

  • She's such an amazing woman. I love her.

  • Lady Gaga SO ripped her off she even talks like her!......and I can't stand Madonna

  • She is so amazing and strong!

  • I wonder if she was pregnant here, this is about the warmest, most natural I've ever seen her.

  • @Dakotaangel1 She must have been in love at the time. She got pregnant during the filming of Evita. And of course she was about to play the role of her idol, so that could have added to the glow. She beat out a lot of well respected actresses for that role... Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, to name 2

  • wait this is from '95?

  • 1995

  • i adore you my queen

  • Cierto, probablemnte esta sea la entrevista en la que madonna se muestra más... cuando habla de su mamá pareciera que quiere llorar...

  • this is like the most legit interview ever

  • wow love the fact that she admits even as a adult she still has a need for her mom. So sad.

  • one of my fav madonna interiews i love seeing her vunerable makes you think she really is normal

  • Madonna you are very beautiful i love your eyes...

  • I had never seen this, thanks for sharing, Madonna is a great woman, I'm sure she's happy with her 4 lovely children :)

  • Chere Mme . Madonna you are more and more beautiful and always honeste! congratulations!

  • Calculated interview

  • I understand she is very difficult to work for and I have been a fan; of her's since my high school days. This is by far the most honest interview I have ever seen with her. After, Guy Ritchie I wonder if she still loves Sean the say way.

  • I understand she is very difficult to work for and i have been a fan; of her's since my high school days. This is by far the most honest interview I have ever seen with her. After, Guy Ritchie I wonder if she still loves Sean the say way.

  • ...The first and only time I saw her that vulnerable and surprised by the questions of an interviewer...! Good interview, because it seems very honest and not scheduled at all!

  • She doesnt thinks she's a bad actress!? Has she seen Swept Away? Need I say more...

  • @importedmusic I thought she was good in Swept Away...she played a GREAT bitch. Now, The Next Best Thing....wow...she was like a bardboard cutout with a voicebox.

  • @SonofEmmy2 Please tell me you're joking?

  • @importedmusic No, I mean...she is no Meryl Streep by any means, but I do feel she carried herself well, compared to some roles, as Amber in Swept Away. I have shown this film to non-fans who were not aware of it's very existence, much less the bad press it received, and they all enjoyed it. I think it carries a far nastier reputation than it truly deserves. The mix of Madonna in film with director husband was a perfect recipe for critical onslaught...deserved or not.

  • Can't get enough of her !!!! It's just love !!!

  • OMG I HATE HIM... MORE THAN MY LIFE IT SELFS

  • WHAT A JERK OFF,, CAN I SHOT THIS LOUSY STUPID INSENSITIVE REPORTER,.??. DAMM, WHAT A BASTARD , PUT HER ON BLAST FOR RATINGS.. I FEEL SORRY FOR HER ,, TO ENDURE THIS TORTURE

  • Very honest. love it

  • @MissRocknrollAnna Peeeeeeeeeeeleeeeeaaaaaseeee..........honest?!?! I am not a bad actress just gotten in bad movies!?!?!

  • @contact1araya I didn't say I agreed with her, nor am i saying i disagree. What she says is just madonna, 'i am not a bad actress just gotten in bad movies', I think she really believes that, it's her honest opinion. She says that without fearing that people will think: what the hell is she talking about? That's what I respect.

  • She's fascinating! I could watch this interview over and over again and still be fascinated by her. She's so real, and she's very honest, normal, intelligent, articulate and interesting. And of course she looks beautiful here. I also love to hear her laughing, she has a very contagious laughter.

  • Wow! I love her!

  • She has such a calming voice.

  • she is being real !!!

  • how did they get the footage

  • wow what year/show/ineterview was this?

  • no Madonna... you ARE a shit actress

  • Madonna has so many bottled up feelings, this guy helped release some of her anger from childhood. We are all human, and even a diva has feelings. Long live madonna! <3

  • I don't like the interviewer.

  • More people like madonna that speaks about not only the soft sweet aspects of their lives with others u know, please i dont know maybe itll be good if we open in there, everybody.Yes doctor...(1:35) oo dont speak to me like that my chicks will turn red lady i want a girl/woman with her style..dreamin,ok yeah didnt she looks like the jigglypuff pokemon sometimes??! jajaja I LOOOOVE HER!

  • this guy OMG...He thinks he knows something...he thiks he is Dr. A--whole...

  • BEST GODDAMN INTERVIEW I HAVE EVER SEEN!

  • What I don't get about Madonna is that she completely creates this picture of herself that she is an orphan.... Her father was there, she had a nice step mother and tons of siblings!!! Madonna, please be 100% honest here!!!!

  • @DAVEJJR She's never described herself as orphan and she's given credit to her father, as well as explained about their difficulties. That said, losing your mother, no matter your age, affects absolutely everything about you, including how you view life and the people and things in it. You never, ever get over it.

  • @ah1016 Amen for what you said! Nothing and no one can take the place of a mother!

  • @DAVEJJR A step mother is still not your mother! And her father was not her mother! There is nothing like a mother's love to make everything better!

  • wow ! qe guapa !! :D

  • When she said "Is she any place I can go to feel safe?" I was convinced she'd say the stage.

  • Her laugh is slightly unnerving. She's angry with this guy.

  • There was a real agenda with this interview

  • No Madonna, you're a shit actress...

  • Comment removed

  • She wasn't her usual abrasive know it all and big headed self on this interview. She was soft, lady like, witty, charming and honest. I've never seen her so candid, innocent and vulnerable. And I agree, she looked very beautiful around this time. I was around for Erotica and the backlash that she got globally for that and the book "Sex". She had to work really hard to change that image of herself, that time, but as always she re-invented herself, this Evita project was the metamorphosis.

  • @gonnamakeit8 Yes! The personality Madonna showed in this interview is one that I like as much as her music. Grace and class. Why can't she always be this way?

  • I love this interview, Madonna is always so natural

  • what a nice woman shes independent and confident even though shes freakishly skinny shes nice looking

  • is this dude trying to make her cry how mean

  • @sallygirl2066 No not at all. She says "this is such a good question" Madonna must get so many of the same, generic questions asked in interviews, I get the feeling she's welcome more challenging questions.

  • EXPRESS YOURSELF, DON'T REPRESS YOURSELF <3 - MADONNA (HUMAN NATURE)

  • i have a feeling that maddie and sean are eventually going to get back together late in their lives.

  • MADONNA YOU'RE A bAD ACTRESS IN bAD MOVIES LOL. SORRY bUT YOU ARE.

  • I wish all interviewers asked questions like this. Now a days they don't ask these types of questions.

  • She looks beautiful.

  • FUCKIN RETARD NEARLY MADE HER CRY!!!!!!!!:@

so now im crying too cos thats what happens when i see tears in Madonnas eyes.;[

  • wow shes actually wearing clothes

  • @touriaification wow, you actually know how to write!

  • Madonna looks so pretty in this interview.

  • what year is this from?

  • @rikadeeply girl you be havin some issues

  • I can't comment!!!

  • This must be edited or cut. As far as I remember there was a part in this interview where she confessed she was afraid to see Whitney Houston's single above hers in the charts.

  • @Turuncan You are mistaken.

  • @burbscinates

I don't know why, but I can't post the fucking link here, stupid YouTube gives error. Just search "Madonna fears legendary Whitney Houston" video, it's obviously from this interview.

  • @Turuncan the whole interview is here on youtube somewhere, she says she had a dream that Whitney's song was above her in the charts or something, lol.

  • "If I don't meet the right guy I'll adopt a baby or two..."

  • Wow... Thank you for posting this..

    Great Madonna.. Wonderful interview..

    Bless you Madge Queen <3

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw

  • Ugh. The user treg1980 just goes to a bunch of Madonna videos and trash talks her.

  • her smile is beautiful and I agreed it was one of the greatest interview she gave in her life.

  • madonna is a typical leo always crave attention leos ha still love madge

  • @blackdurga87

    I'm a leo. I don't always crave attention.

  • I FELT SO SAD FOR MADONNA WHEN SHE TALKS ABOUT THE LOSS OF HER MOTHER. UGH!!! THAT WAS SO SAD.

  • she is a horrible actress

  • I see this side of her even when she doesn't show it. I know it's crazy but I feel connected to her in a way.

  • did you guys noticed tat this interview was uploaded on the day that michael jackson died june 25 2009

  • @mrsbritney12281 yes, life went on

  • @morepassion1 it sure did......ANYWAYS who r u?

  • Wow Madonna is actually human.......(sarcams)

  • I don't haver a mother... or a father...

  • "The Business" is fake but a mother loves her child unconditionally! I found that out after my mother passed away and I am not in "the business"

  • shes such an intelligant speaker.

  • @KURISUCHRIS99 LOL, you spelled "intelligent" wrong!

  • @KURISUCHRIS99 I love the use of intelligent / elegant combination.

  • @KURISUCHRIS99 I wonder if everyone thumbed up you because you misspelled intelligent or because they agreed with you. "oh yeah, I think so too, she's so intelligant"

  • 'I don't think I'm a bad actress, I think I've been in a lot of bad movies'

Haha, nope, sorry dear, you ARE a bad actress.

Don't get me wrong, I like Madonna's work a lot, but Madonna the person... Hmz, I'm not sure. I think even this interview was acted. She's so transparent.

But again, I like her work and that's what I like her for. I don't really care who and what she is in her private life.

  • @treg1980 i'm sorry she was very vulnerable in this.......this was no act.

  • @treg1980 You know that her mother...really died, right? I mean, I could never imagine it and every actor would be jealous if she could somehow fake her vulnerability here over something so actually tragic. She's strong but she's not inhuman, she has heartstrings. If this is "acted" I don't know how you could ever call her a bad actress.

  • WOW, Ive never seen her in this light, okay, this proves that Madonna the person we see in videos & on stage & the photos that show a bit too much is truly not like that in "real" life,She is an amazing artist and human being, with so much to offer the world. It must be so hard to trust people & to feel safe, I thought about her words carefully, and when your as famous as Madonna, you have only a few friends,Im glad her sister is there for for & a comfort, may Madonna continue to reign! God Bless

  • She still didn't meet the right guy.

  • @babydoll1691 I think she did several times, but she's too selfisch to share her life completely with someone. Fame and fortune was always more important than love.

  • I'm in tears.... beautiful.

  • OMG.

    What an AMAZING person.

    Fuck,i Love her,she's my idol.

I would Kill 2 meet her only once & get a photo with her. xx

  • The three people who dislike her honesty and humanity, in telling the world how she feels are D-bags.

  • can somebody please upload the complete interview!!!! i believe this is only a part of it !!!!

  • Shes very honest in this interview, she was bursting about to cry, why not she s human & I agree that a mother is needed in everyones life, we all turn to her when need a shoulder to cry on....

She s also very beautiful and natural here - I love you Madonna you inspire me!!

  • here, she seem like such a nice person. And maybe really underneath, she's just as vulnerable as the rest of us, or even undoubtedly more - with losing her mother and all, and just with.. being.. Madonna.

  • Well she did adopt two children :-)

  • Madonna, una profesional y un ser humano.

  • I get the feeling that the interviewer is on a mission to make her cry.

  • very very touching is this.. she has no mother in life at the end of the day I really really feel for her.. made me cry actually and normally Im not feeling her shows that everyone is not what they present most of the time

  • shes pretty very much so, and her sadness makes her closer to regelor people

    than acelebrity

  • croft, this aired in late 1995 (during the Something to Remember era).

  • what year was this filmed?

  • I like this side of madonna. she needs her sister to keep grounded. Her sister reminds her of her mother. How sweet is that?

  • I love her speaking voice. It is so soothing.

  • This is the most lovely interview and the nicest I've seen her. What a sweet girl she is.

  • I don't think Madonna ever got credit for the good performances that she gave in good movies: "Dick Tracy", "Desperately Seeking Susan", "A League of Their Own".

She gave the best acting performance of her life in "Dangerous Game". But that movie was wayy too out there for most people. It went over everybody's heads. I don't think Ferrara even knew what movie he was trying to make.

  • She looks gorgeous

  • @pablorubiolugo Yes she does ! Amazing !

  • madonna the Queen of pop

  • and it was as she planned: she made the musical and she was the perfect Eva Peron, she gave birth to her doughter Lola and her life changed, she meet Guy (thought he was the perfect guy) marriged him, gave birth to a son, Rocco, mooved to London, adopted David and Mercy from Malawi, divorced (sad), orginised Raising Malawi Foundation, made a lots of albums, concerts, a lots of right and unright things trough her life...and now she is 52, and i think she deserves to be in loved whit The Right Guy

  • Comment removed

  • i never saw madonna this raw and vulnerable,,, this guy seems to hit all the sore spots,,, he nailed her feelings,, but at the same time she looks so beautiful and naked

  • This guy's kind of a dick.

  • @oneloverr I don't think so, yes he's tough and he knows how to touch sensitive parts for her, but he got one of the best and most honest interviews of Madonna, showing the real human being, showing how fascinating she is. And this video is a MUST WATCH for anybody.

  • @oneloverr you are a dick.

  • as much as madonna can seem evil sometimes....People dont know what it means to not have a mother....having a dead mother is a very I tear as i say this...horrific thing...and...she i think hated that she had to be this vulnrable through out her life and felt she has to toughen up and go Very stern and materialistic...my outake anyways I dunno what it is about her she can be quiet in ur face attitude but i keep feeling its all a charade of how she really is...my brain anyways

  • @nevashiva i absolutely agree with you. As she said she thinks the fact that her mother died when she was very young has influenced all the decisions she's made in her life. She's smart she knows she has to toughen up to survive in this business. But I've noticed that ppl who have worked with her tend to stay with her for a long time and I think that says something about Madonna as a person. This guy is a good interviewer, he brings out Madonna's soft side which she rarely shows

  • PERFECT I LOVE U MADONNA ♥
