nah JDM means jap domestic market, fan boys outside of japland try to emulate what they cant in their own country by paying redicules prices to get parts shipped over. there is US style, AUS style, EURO style, and JDM and this comes about by the parts/ cars spec of the respective region and the trends followed by them.

Its a style copied from the guys in Japan who do run the Touge and don't worry about the flashiness of their car, but worry only about the pursuit of function and performance.
