famous guy in Safrica told me that he seen eagles take monkeys on many occasions, one time a monkey turned around in midflight and grabbed eagle by the neck and the eagle just repositioned on of its claws and grabbed the head of the monkey and crushed it....

In Scotland, there were written accounts in the 17th & 18th century of eagles taking a small child on one occasion and flying over water to its eyrie, where the baby's cries apparently made it nervous enough to stay away long enough to be recovered.

There's also a detailed account of a man finding a small flock of an unusual breed of sheep that he had never seen in that district; the owner told him they were bred from a lamb dropped by an eagle.

Now I can believe these are not just stories!
