Nice! I would hate if the flash popped up if I don't want the flash to pop-up. I always force the flash off on my camera (and I love the ones that don't have the flash at all, like the A850/A900). Pentax has a very good design. The only entry lever camera with weather sealed body and the LCD on top! To me, this is definitely the best entry lever DSLR there is.
Can you please help me? Every time I take a picture of something that is maybe.....2 or 3 feet in front of me, it looks so so so bright! SOME OF THE PICTURE EVEN TURN OUT WHITE! Please help?
Digital Camera doesn't seem to shoot a lot outside in less than sunny conditions. 88% for a wheather-sealed camera is surprising, given that the Sony A200 gets 89% (which lost all the nice body controls the A100 had).
i was wondering ... which would be the best for a first DSLR. I have had a bridge/superzoom before so i understand all the programs/controls...so again... which would be best

I think so. I have an 80-200mm SMC Pentax 1:4.5 K-mount lens from back when Asahi was still part of the picture, and it will fit. You can even get an adapter for the screw mount lenses from the 60's.
I take your point, but the video reviews are a precis of much longer written reviews, and so don't cover every point made in the full test. As for this vs the Nikon D60, there's no pro Nikon bias, as you can see from our ratings: 88% for this camera and 85% for the Nikon.
Good review, but what do you mean "11-point autofocus is not bad"? Nine of them are cross type sensors and I know of no better system. "Not bad" compared to the 3-point systems of the competitors?
Also, why is it that you whine about too few buttons on the camera when it is a Pentax but not when it is a Nikon? The Sony models seem to have some more buttons but apart from them all entry level DSLR intentionally keep the hardware interface simple.
@WhatDigitalCamera Hi, could you please tell me what effect is going on with this picture please, i have come across this video and would like someone to explain why a double image is occurring on this vid-cam. This is the Youtube link. watch?v=joltzQq4B9k
Good video thanks. The flash will automatically pop up in low light when you half depress the shutter button. You have to change it in the function/settings.
Can this camera make VIDEOS ??
reply please :)

Does the kit lens not have a motor in it? Does the body then have a motor to compensate for old lenses that does not have motors?

is there a live view lens in pentax k200D
thanks
very good camera and low price
wow
VALIENTE888 3 years ago
the k200 has simple and useful AA batteries slot, others entry level slrs have proprietary batteries. This is a big advantage.

A few seconds, but depending on the brand/speed/type of media card you are using

the k200d is limited to a 5 shot burst,so how long do you need to wait before you can use the burst mode again??

I have an old pentax MX 35mm. Will the lens from this fit on a new K200D?

The button to view the pictures you have taken is the one marked by the green triangle icon to the bottom left of the screen.
But if you mean Live View, where you can see the view on the screen before you take the picture, this camera does not offer that feature.
